참부모경 - 225. 전국대학원리연구회

참부모님께서는 1966년 1월 9일 제2회 대학생 및 청년 특별수련회에서 ‘앞으로 대학가에 크게 관심을 가져서 갈 길을 못 찾고 방황하는 대학생들을 일깨우고 규합하는 일에 노력하라.’고 말씀하셨다. 그 말씀이 동기가 되어 수련회에 모인 젊은이들이 뜻을 모아 대학가 원리운동의 기수가 될 것을 다짐하였고 1월 10일 전국대학원리연구회가 창립되었다. 전국대학원리연구회는 각 대학에 동아리로 등록한 뒤 통일원리 전파와 승공 활동에 앞장섰다.

12 민주와 공산의 두 진영을 통일하는 것이 우리의 사명입니다. 그것을 하기 위해서는 전국 2천400개 면에 적어도 한 사람씩은 배치해야 됩니다. 삼위기대를 이루어서 배치하려면 7천 명 이상이 있어야 합니다. 그 사람들은 대학 출신자 이상이어야 합니다. 이화여자대학과 연세대학을 중심하고 하려던 것이 무너져서 방향이 달라졌습니다. 그래서 중고생을 중심으로 하게 되었습니다. 제1차 7년노정의 3년노정 기간은 이 민족에게 통일신도들과 같이 하지 않으면 안 된다는 것을 보여 주어야 하는 기간이었습니다. 남한은 현재의 상태로는 공산주의의 침투를 막을 길이 없습니다. 그들은 중류층 이하에 침투합니다. 그래서 우리는 지방에 있는 사람들에게 원리를 전파하고 생활지도와 계몽운동을 계속해 왔습니다. 각 면의 삼위기대는 이념지도와 생활지도와 계몽운동을 책임져야 합니다. 대학생들을 1년씩 지방으로 보내서 중등교육을 책임지게 한다면 그들은 농촌의 사정도 체득하고 애국심도 갖게 될 것입니다. 민족을 위해 제물이 되는 참다운 사상을 대학가에 남겨 놓아야 합니다. 그러기 위해서는 심판자의 책임을 할 수 있는 젊은이를 세워야 합니다. 이것이 전국대학원리연구회 창립 목적입니다.

13 한 국가의 흥망은 그 나라의 젊은이들에게 달려 있습니다. 내일의 나를 창조해야 될 사람들을 세우기 위해서 전국대학생수련회를 하는 것입니다. 식물의 순이 자라기 위해서는 적당한 환경이 갖추어져야 하고 환경에 적응할 수 있어야 합니다. 역사적인 향상선(向上線)에 섰던 선조가 있었다면 그는 행복한 사람입니다. 나 이후의 미래를 어떻게 할 것인가? 나와 후손이 일관된 목적을 갖고 나아갈 수 있다면 그 길은 복된 길이라 하겠습니다. 역사 속에서는 올바른 방향을 향할수록 발전합니다. 오늘날 이 땅 위에 수많은 인간이 살고 있지만 그들의 목적은 하나입니다. 그것은 많은 식물들이 햇빛 하나만을 향하는 것과 동일합니다. 하나님은 종대 순을 세우고 횡적인 환경을 이루시는 역사를 엮어 나왔습니다. 지금도 하나님은 그 순이 될 수 있는 개인․가정․종족․민족․국가․세계를 찾아 나옵니다. 한국은 이런 순의 입장에 서야 하며, 그러기 위해서는 시련을 겪어야 합니다. 순은 모든 가지가 받는 시련을 일시에 받지만 전진적인 극복을 해야 됩니다. 이와 같이 우리도 세계적인 시련을 극복해야 됩니다.

14 통일신도는 샘이 되어야 합니다. 샘물은 솟아오르는 것입니다. 폭포와는 반대입니다. 산짐승도 샘물을 찾아옵니다. 샘이 없는 산은 명산이 될 수 없습니다. 특히 대학생 여러분은 부패한 대한민국을 정결케 할 샘이 되어야 합니다. 샘물은 솟아 정결함 그 자체를 더럽히지 않는 곳으로 흘러가려 할 것입니다. 샘물이 인간의 생명과 인연되기 위해서는 그 순수성을 잃어서는 안 되는데, 순수한 샘물은 반석을 뚫고 나온 물입니다. 그래서 누구나 그러한 물을 마시려고 하는 것입니다. 여러분 모두가 샘이 되기를 바랍니다.

15 핵심적인 대학원리연구회 회원이 얼마나 되느냐가 문제입니다. 그런 기준에서 대학가를 중심으로 사회활동을 펼치기 위해 학사를 각 대학에 하나씩 만들어야 됩니다. 이렇게 하면 상당히 효과가 나게 돼 있습니다. 그래서 원리연구회를 중심삼은 학사와 성화학생들과의 관계를 강화해야 됩니다. 그리고 3학년 4학년이 되면 전부 원리강의를 할 수 있는 책임자들이 되어야 합니다. 이렇게 되면 이 사람들을 각 대학의 각 학과에 배치해 우리 사상을 지도할 수 있도록 해야 됩니다. 이렇게 조직을 강화해 놓으면 짧은 시일 동안에 급속한 발전이 있으리라고 봅니다. 그리고 대학 출신들을 전국에 배치하려고 합니다. 대학생들은 사회에서나 교회에서 주도적인 역할을 해야 됩니다. 교회에서 주인의 역할을 하고 자기 책임을 해야 된다는 것입니다. 여러분이 교회 분위기를 알고, 젊은 사람들이 교회에 소망의 표준이 될 수 있는 분위기를 형성해야 됩니다.

16 앞으로 대학원리연구회를 핵심적인 활동체제로 삼으려고 합니다. 그래서 이들 중 철두철미한 결의를 한 사람들을 지역 요원으로 배치해 활동하게 하려고 합니다. 이렇게 활동을 강화해 놓으면 앞으로 빠른 시일 내에 우리 교회가 발전하고 원리연구회도 상당히 발전하리라고 봅니다. 앞으로 그런 면으로 밀고 나가려고 생각하고 있으니만큼 여러분이 전반적인 내용을 알고 새로운 분야에서 결의를 해야 되겠습니다. 그리고 원리연구회를 세계적으로 조직하여 국제대회를 많이 개최해야 됩니다. 한국에서뿐만 아니라 일본 미국 등 여러 나라에서 개최해야 됩니다. 앞으로 원리연구회의 중요한 멤버들을 각 나라의 핵심요원으로 활동하게 하기 위해 초국가적인 요원들로 양성하려고 합니다.

17 아버님에 대해 궁금해하면서 지금까지 갑론을박하며 여러 가지로 비판하던 사람들이 국제과학통일회의에 참석하면서 우리를 선전할 수 있는 상황에까지 오게 되었습니다. 대학교에서 이론적인 사람, 철학을 한다든가 종교나 사상을 연구하는 몇몇 사람만 우리를 선전하게 되면 자연과학이나 사회과학을 하는 사람들은 그냥 따라오게 됩니다. 그래서 그 교수들이 우리 교회에 대해 어느 정도 관심을 갖게 되면 대학원리연구회 활동을 어떻게든 급진적으로 전개해서 그들을 여기에 연결시킬 생각을 하고 있습니다. 원리연구회 기동대를 만들어 출동하게 한 것도 그들을 연결시키기 위해서였습니다. 그렇기 때문에 미국의 각 주 대표들과 각 도시의 책임자들은 지금까지 국제과학통일회의를 통해 연결되어 있는 모든 교수들과 적극적으로 자기 할아버지나 아버지, 삼촌처럼 지내라는 것입니다. 그래서 그 사람들을 중심삼고 일반 학생들을 추천받아 외적인 원리연구회 형태를 만들 수도 있습니다.

18 대학원리연구회 정회원은 대학가에 회오리바람을 일으켜야 됩니다. 공부해야 될 청춘 남녀들의 그 원기 왕성한 열기를 다 뿜어서 천리원칙의 가치적 사랑의 깊은 골짜기를 파고 들어가야 됩니다. 그래서 세계로 뻗칠 수 있는 길을 닦아야 됩니다. 천의는 공산세력과 교회 몰락, 청소년 윤락을 염려하고 있습니다. 윤락의 길로 빠져드는 청년 남녀를 붙들고, 신앙이 파탄되어 가는 기독교를 붙들어야 합니다. 그리고 기독교 사상이 괴열(壞裂)되면서 그 자리를 타고 들어오는 공산세력을 방어해야 됩니다.

19 대학가에서 활동하는 대학원리연구회에 대한 기대가 큽니다. 교회 부흥 활동이나 승공활동을 원리연구회에 결부시켜야 합니다. 원리연구회가 초교파운동보다 YMCA나 YWCA와 같은 단체들과 어떻게 연합해서 대학가에서 활동하느냐 하는 것입니다. 또 우리가 부흥회 활동을 통해 대학생들이 전도되면 그 사람들과 어떻게 유대관계를 맺느냐 하는 문제를 중심삼고 원리연구회 활동에 집중하려고 합니다. 앞으로 원리연구회 활동은 대학교 내의 활동으로만 그쳐서는 안 됩니다. 대학생이면 중고등학교를 졸업했기 때문에 반드시 모교가 있습니다. 그리고 현재 자기가 재적하고 있는 학교가 있습니다. 학교에는 자기 개인만 있는 것이 아니라 학교 동료들과 친구가 있고, 자기 전공학교를 중심삼고는 동기들이 있습니다. 이런 동창이나 친구, 동기들과 사적으로 접할 수 있는 활동 체제를 강화해 나가야 됩니다.

20 대한민국 정부 당국이 우리 활동에 대해 승공이란 명사를 인정한 것은 야곱이 얍복강가에서 천사와 겨루어 이김으로써 이스라엘이란 이름을 얻은 것과 비슷한 사례입니다. 이런 점으로 보아 뜻을 성사시킬 수 있는 승리의 팻말은 이미 꽂혔다고 봅니다. 이제 종적인 승리의 기준은 되었으니 이것을 기반으로 횡적으로도 승리해야 될 조직이 필요합니다. 기독교만 가지고는 안 되는 것입니다. 세계를 통일의 이념으로 복귀해야 됩니다. 이것을 위해서는 학문적이고 사상적인 토대를 중심으로 해야 됩니다. 이러한 일련의 활동을 구체적으로 살펴보면 사상을 중심으로 학계와 관련지어 전개하고 있는 것이 반공운동이요, 교회를 중심으로 전개하고 있는 것이 대회 전도활동이요, 학생을 중심으로 펴고 있는 것이 대학원리연구회 운동입니다.

21 대학 내에서 공산사상을 가진 적색분자들이 침투할 수 있는 노선을 승공활동을 해서 사전에 봉쇄하자는 것입니다. 이런 점에서 대학원리연구회가 해야 될 일들이 얼마나 중요한 일인가를 알아야 됩니다. 통일원리의 최후의 승패는 세계적인 학계에 의해서 결정됩니다. 그러므로 통일원리를 세계에 제시하기 위해서는 먼저 국내 각 대학교의 종교학과나 철학과의 권위 있는 교수들에게 통일원리를 소개해야 됩니다. 그래서 이 교수들이 통일원리를 세계 학계에 제시하여 세계화할 수 있게 해야 됩니다. 그렇게 되기 전에 우리는 대내외적으로 기반을 닦아 놓자는 것입니다.

22 공산당은 노동자와 농민, 혹은 노동조합을 중심삼고 활동하고 있습니다. 또한 대학가를 중심삼고 교수와 학생들을 조종하고 있습니다. 이것이 지금까지 공산당이 세계를 침식해 온 한 방편입니다. 그렇기 때문에 대학가에서 교수와 학생을 단합시켜서 노동자와 농민을 선동하여 대중 데모를 중심삼고 혼란을 일으키는 역사를 해 나오는데, 그것을 방어하기 위해서 대학원리연구회는 반드시 교수들을 수습해야 됩니다. 그런 의미에서 오래전부터 세계평화교수협의회를 세워 활동해 왔습니다. 이 세계평화교수협의회와 원리연구회가 하나되어서 나아가야 됩니다.

23 일본과 미국의 대학원리연구회는 공산세력과 일선에서 싸우고 있습니다. 한국에서는 지하활동을 하는 공산주의자들과 싸울 수 있지만 그들이 누구인지 모릅니다. 문서를 통해 활동할 수 있는 환경 여건만 되어 있지, 직접 백주에 생사의 대결을 하는 입장에는 못 나가 있다는 것입니다. 그러나 일본에서는 백주에 나가 생사를 걸고 대결하는 싸움에서 우리가 승리의 팻말을 꽂았습니다. 그리고 미국에서는 1979년부터 원리연구회가 이 일을 전개하여 1980년 말에는 이미 미국 전역에서 대학가를 휩쓸던 공산주의 일색의 모든 풍조를 막아냈습니다. 일본에서 승리한 것과 같은 결과를 가져왔다는 것입니다. 수백 명의 공산당 계열 학생들이 시위하는 곳에 원리연구회 회원 5명이 가서 수습한 사례도 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 미국 대학가의 공산세력은 원리연구회 학생들을 만나지 말라고 하는 것입니다. 일본에서 한 것과 마찬가지 결과가 미국 원리연구회에서도 벌어지고 있다는 것입니다.

24 일본에서는 YMCA나 YWCA 같은 기독교 단체의 활동이 미약합니다. 우리가 그것을 대신하는 조직을 만들어 교육해 가면서 하려니 시간이 걸렸습니다. 학교 당국도 반대하고 선생들도 반대하는 가운데서 이 일을 하고 있다는 것이 얼마나 기가 차겠느냐는 말입니다. 전부 공산당의 말에 넘어갔습니다. 그것이 얼마나 비참하였던가를 내 눈으로 봤고 보도도 봤습니다. 여러분은 그 기막힌 사정이 많았던 것을 모를 것입니다. 아버님은 일본을 위해 싸웠습니다. 일본의 중심 대학에서부터 싸운 것입니다. 정치적인 면에서 영향권을 만들고, 사회 분야에서 공산당 기지를 토벌해야 됩니다. 그러니 일본 공산당이 아버님을 얼마나 무서워하는지 모릅니다. ‘통일교회가 없고 원리연구회만 없으면 일본은 틀림없이 공산화가 되고 적화가 될 텐데 통일교회 때문에 큰일 났구나!’라고 하고 있습니다. 그런 준비를 해왔습니다.

25 미국 젊은이들에게 불을 질러야 됩니다. 대학원리연구회 활동을 중심삼고 대학가를 정상화하고, 가정을 찾아가서 가정교회를 중심삼고 전도하라는 명령을 한 것입니다. 미국 가정의 젊은이도 우리와 같은 젊은이로 만들어야 되고, 대학가에서는 우리 청년과 같은 청년으로 만들어야 됩니다. 그리하여 미국이 반대하지 않고 아버님을 지지하는 환경이 되어 가면 그다음에는 공산세력을 붙잡는 것입니다. 아버님이 지금까지 한국에서 반공활동을 한 그 전통을 일본에 전수하고, 미국에 전수하고, 소련에까지 전수해야 됩니다. 대학가에서는 원리연구회가 어떤 활동을 해야 되고, 현재의 가정교회 활동은 미국에서 어떠한 전통을 남겨야 되는지를 알아야 됩니다. 그래서 우리는 공산주의 문제와 청소년 윤락 문제를 해결해야 됩니다. 여러분이 원리와 철두철미한 가정적 기반을 중심삼고 그들을 교육해야 됩니다.

26 여러분은 천의를 따라가는 젊은이들이 되어야 합니다. 거기에는 이의가 없습니다. 아버님이 가던 것과 같이 말없이 자기가 가야 할 길을 다짐하면서 가야 합니다. 그런 분위기가 여러분을 통해 대학가에 확산되고 하나의 풍조가 된다면 대한민국의 대학가에는 새로운 희망의 등대가 될 것입니다. 일본의 대학원리연구회는 한국 대학원리연구회를 앞서 있습니다. 이제는 미국의 대학원리연구회가 움직이고 있습니다. 독일 베를린에 원리연구회 젊은 청년들을 규합하여 베를린 장벽 문제를 제기하게 할 것입니다. 수많은 젊은이들을 모아서 베를린 장벽을 내 손으로 헐게 하겠다는 것입니다. 여러분이 그렇게 할 용기가 없다면 대한민국을 수호하는 젊은이도 못 되고, 세계를 수호하는 통일가의 원리연구회 회원도 될 수 없습니다. 우리는 그 목표를 향하여 강하고 담대하게 전진해야 되겠습니다.

27 우리가 대학가의 학생들과 교수들을 움직이지 못하게 될 때에는 대한민국은 살 길이 없습니다. 서유럽의 국가들도 전부 그렇게 되어 있습니다. 베를린에서 공산세력이 반대하고 시민들이 반대하는 가운데 대학원리연구회 세계대회를 합니다. 1차, 2차, 3차 대회를 끝내고 이번에 베를린장벽을 격파할 것입니다. 대학생 중심으로 문제를 일으켜 공산세력을 내쫓는 운동을 하는 것입니다. 그것이 그냥 앉아서 될 수 없습니다. 어림도 없다는 것입니다. 그 누군가가 피땀을 흘려야 됩니다. 총탄을 맞고 피를 흘리면서도 해야 됩니다. 그러지 않고는 남북을 통일할 수 없습니다.

28 대학가에서 좌익계열 사람들을 데려다가 교육해야 됩니다. 현재 세계적으로 보면 공산주의 체제는 없어졌지만 민주주의 체제도 와해 상태에 들어와 있습니다. 도리어 공산주의라는 반대세력이 여기에 반작용을 일으킬 수 있는 동기가 되어 자체 내에서 자각하게 할 수 있는 활성제의 역할을 했습니다. 공산주의가 무너짐으로써 민주세계가 마음대로 할 수 있다는 생각은 잘못된 생각입니다. 도리어 공산주의가 없어지고 난 다음에 민주세계의 붕괴 상태는 더욱 촉진될 것입니다. 좌익계열도 혼란 상태에 들어가 있고 민주세계도 혼란 상태에 들어가 있기 때문에 그야말로 양면의 교육을 해야 될 때가 옵니다. 그러면 교수들에게 그런 것을 교육할 만한 실력이 있느냐 하면 그렇지 않습니다. 학교에서도 그에 대한 대책을 세워 방어할 수 있는 내용이 없다는 것입니다. 그러한 방어적인 교육의 제안을 우리가 해야 됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 대학원리연구회를 중심한 대학가 활동을 약화시켜서는 안 될 때라고 보는 것입니다.

真の父母経 - 225. 韓国の「全国大学原理研究会」

真の父母様は、一九六六年一月九日、第二回大学生および青年特別修練会において、「今後、大学に大きく関心をもって、行くべき道を探し出せずにさまよっている大学生たちを目覚めさせ、糾合する努力をしなさい」と語られた。そのみ言が動機となり、修練会に集まった若者が志を一つにして、大学の原理運動の旗手になることを誓い、一月十日、韓国の「全国大学原理研究会」が創立された。「全国大学原理研究会」は各大学にサークルとして登録され、「統一原理」を伝え、勝共活動を行う先頭に立った。
 
 12 民主と共産の二つの陣営を統一するのが、私たちの使命です。それをするためには、全国の二千四百の面（ミョン）に、少なくとも一人ずつは配置しなければなりません。三位基台を造成して配置しようとすれば、七千人以上はいなければなりません。その人々は、大学出身者以上でなければならないのです。梨花女子大学と延世（ヨンセ）大学を中心として行おうとしたことが崩れて、方向が変わりました。それで、中高生を中心に行うようになったのです。
 
第一次七年路程の三年路程の期間は、この民族に、統一信徒たちと（行動を）共にしなければならないことを見せてあげるべき期間でした。
 
韓国は、現在の状態では共産主義の浸透を防ぐ道がありません。彼らは、中流層以下に浸透します。ですから、私たちは、地方にいる人々に原理を伝え、生活指導と啓蒙運動を続けてきました。各面の三位基台は、理念指導と生活指導と啓蒙運動に責任をもたなければなりません。
 
大学生たちを一年ずつ地方に送って、中等教育に責任をもたせるようにすれば、彼らは農村の事情も体得し、愛国心ももつようになるでしょう。民族のために祭物となる真の思想を大学に残しておかなければなりません。そのためには、審判者の責任を果たせる若者を立てなければなりません。これが、「全国大学原理研究会」の創立目的です。

13 国家の興亡は、その国の若者たちにかかっています。あすの自分を創造すべき人々を立てるために、全国大学生修練会を行うのです。植物の芽が育つためには、適切な環境がそろわなければならず、環境に適応できなければなりません。歴史的な向上線に立った先祖がいたとすれば、その人は幸福な人です。「私以降の未来をどうするのか」と考えながら、「私」と子孫が一貫した目的をもって進むことができるとすれば、その道は幸福な道だと言えます。歴史の中では、正しい方向に向かうほど発展します。
 
今日、この地上に数多くの人間が暮らしていますが、彼らの目的は一つです。それは、多くの植物が日の光に向かうのと同じです。神様は、中心の芽を立て、横的な環境を形成する歴史を綴ってきました。今も神様は、その芽になり得る個人、家庭、氏族、民族、国家、世界を訪ねてきます。
 
韓国は、このような芽の立場に立たなければならず、そのためには試練を経なければなりません。芽は、すべての枝が受ける試練を一時に受けますが、前進して克服しなければなりません。このように、私たちも世界的な試練を克服しなければならないのです。
 
 14 統一信徒は、泉にならなければなりません。泉の水は湧き上がります。滝とは反対です。山の獣も泉の水を求めてきます。泉がない山は、名山になることができません。
 
特に大学生の皆さんは、腐敗した大韓民国を清くする泉にならなければなりません。泉の水は、湧き上がって、（汚れを清めながら）清さそれ自体を汚さない所に流れていこうとするでしょう。泉の水が人間の生命と関わりをもつためには、その純粋性を失ってはいけないのですが、純粋な泉の水とは、岩を貫いて出てきた水です。ですから、誰もがそのような水を飲もうとするのです。皆さん全員が泉になることを願います。
 
 15 大学原理研究会の核心的な会員が、どれくらいになるかが問題です。そのような基準で、大学を中心に社会活動を展開するために学舎を造り、運営することにしました。学舎を各大学に一つずつ造らなければなりません。このようにすれば、相当な効果が出るようになっています。
 
ですから、原理研究会を中心とした学舎と、成和学生たちとの関係を強化しなければなりません。そして、三年生、四年生になればみな、原理講義ができる責任者にならなければなりません。このようになれば、この人たちを各大学の各学科に配置して、私たちの思想を指導できるようにしなければならないのです。このように組織を強化しておけば、短期間で急速に発展すると思います。
 
また、大学出身者たちを全国に配置しようと考えています。大学生たちは、社会や教会で主導的な役割を果たさなければなりません。教会で主人の役割を果たし、自分の責任を果たさなければならないというのです。皆さんは教会の雰囲気を知り、若い人々が教会にとって希望の標準となり得る雰囲気を形成しなければなりません。
 
 16 今後、大学原理研究会を核心的な活動体制にしようと思います。ですから、彼らの中で決意が徹底している人々を地域要員として配置し、活動させようと思うのです。このように活動を強化しでおけば、これから短期間のうちに私たちの教会が発展し、原理研究会も大きく発展するだろうと思います。今後、そのような面で推し進めていこうと考えているので、皆さんは全般的な内容を知って、新しい分野で決意しなければなりません。
 
そして、原理研究会を世界的に組織し、国際大会をたくさん開催しなければなりません。韓国だけでなく、日本やアメリカなど、多くの国で開催しなければなりません。今後、原理研究会の重要なメンバーたちを各国の核心要員として活動させるために、超国家的な要員として養成しようと思います。
 
 17 お父様に対して気に掛けつつ、今まで甲論乙駁ながらいろいろと批判していた人々が、「科学の統一に関する国際会議」に参加し、私たちのことを宣伝する状況にまでなりました。大学で理論的な人、哲学を研究するとか、宗教や思想を研究する人が何人かだけ私たちのことを宣伝するようになれば、自然科学や社会科学を研究する人々は、そのまま付いてくるようになります。
 
ですから、その教授たちが私たちの教会に対してある程度関心をもつようになれば、大学原理研究会の活動を何としてでも急進的に展開して、彼らをここに連結させることを考えています。原理研究会の機動隊をつくって出動（伝道）させたのも、彼らを連結させるためでした。
 
そのため、アメリカの各州の代表たちと各都市の責任者たちは、今まで「科学の統一に関する国際会議」を通して連結されているすべての教授たちを自分の祖父や父、叔父のように思い、積極的につき合いなさいというのです。そうして、その人々を中心として一般の学生たちを推薦してもらい、外的な原理研究会の形態をつくることもできるのです。

18 大学原理研究会の正会員は、大学に旋風を起こさなければなりません。勉強をすべき青春の男女たちのその元気旺盛な熱気をすべて発散させて、天理原則の価値ある愛の深い谷間を掘り下げていかなければなりません。そうして、世界に伸びていける道を築かなければならないのです。
 
天のみ意は、共産勢力と教会の没落、青少年の淪落を心配しています。淪落の道に陥る青年男女をつかみ、信仰が破綻していくキリスト教をつかまなければなりません。そして、キリスト教思想が壊れ崩れる、そこに乗じて入ってくる共産勢力の侵入を防がなければなりません。
 
 19 大学において活動する大学原理研究会に対して、大きな期待をもっています。教会復興活動や勝共活動を、原理研究会に結びつけなければなりません。原理研究会が、超教派運動よりも、ＹＭＣＡやＹＷＣＡのような団体とどのように連合し、大学で活動するかというのです。また、復興会活動を通して大学生たちが伝道されれば、私たちがその人々とどのように連帯関係を結ぶかという問題を中心として、原理研究会の活動に集中しようと思います。
 
今後、原理研究会の活動は、大学内の活動だけで終わってはいけません。大学生であれば、中学、高等学校を卒業したので、必ず母校があります。そして、現在自分が在籍している学校があります。学校には自分個人だけがいるのではなく、学校の同僚たちと友人がいて、自分の専攻学科を中心としては同期たちがいます。このような同窓や友人、同期たちと私的に接することができる活動体制を強化していかなければなりません。
 
 20 大韓民国の政府当局が、私たちの活動に対して「勝共」という名称を認定したのは、ヤコブがヤボク川のほとりで天使と競って勝つことによって、イスラエルという名前を得たのと似たような事例です。このような点から見て、み旨を成就できる勝利の立て札は、既に立てられたと考えます。今や縦的な勝利の基準はできたので、これを基盤として横的にも勝利すべき組織が必要です。キリスト教だけではできません。世界を統一の理念で復帰しなければならないのです。このためには、学問的で思想的な土台を中心に行わなければなりません。このような一連の活動を具体的に調べてみれば、思想を中心に学界と関連づけて展開しているのが勝共運動であり、教会を中心に展開しているのが対外伝道活動であり、学生を中心に展開しているのが大学原理研究会の運動です。
 
 21 大学内で、共産思想をもった赤色分子たちが浸透する路線を、勝共活動をして事前に封鎖しようというのです。このような点で、大学原理研究会のすべき仕事が、どれほど重要なことかを知らなければなりません。
 
「統一原理」の最後の勝敗は、世界的な学界によって決定されます。それゆえ、「統一原理」を世界に提示するためには、まず国内の各大学の宗教学科や哲学科の権威ある教授たちに「統一原理」を紹介しなければなりません。そうして、この教授たちが「統一原理」を世界の学界に提示し、世界化できるようにしなければなりません。そのようになる前に、私たちは、対内的、対外的に基盤を築いておこうというのです。
 
 22 共産党は、労働者と農民、あるいは労働組合を中心として活動しています。また、大学を中心として、教授と学生たちを操っています。これが今まで、共産党が世界を侵食してきた一つの方便です。
 
大学で教授と学生を団結させて、労働者と農民を扇動し、大衆デモを中心として混乱を起こしてくるのですが、それを防ぐために、大学原理研究会は必ず教授たちを収拾しなければなりません。そのような意味で、随分前から「世界平和教授アカデミー」を立てて活動してきたのです。この「世界平和教授アカデミー」と原理研究会が一つになって進まなければなりません。
 
 23 日本とアメリカの大学原理研究会は、共産勢力と第一線で闘っています。韓国では、地下活動をする共産主義者たちと闘うことはできますが、彼らが誰か分かりません。文書を通して活動できる環境条件だけそろっているのであって、直接、白昼に生死を懸けた対決をする立場には出ていくことができていないというのです。しかし、日本では白昼に出ていって、生死を懸けて対決する闘いにおいて、私たちが勝利の立て札を立てました。
 
そして、アメリカでは、一九七九年から原理研究会がこのことを展開し、一九八〇年の末には、既にアメリカ全域で大学を席巻していた共産主義一色のすべての風潮を食い止めました。日本で勝利したのと同じ結果をもたらしたというのです。数百人の共産党系列の学生たちがデモを行う所に、原理研究会の会員五人が行って収拾した事例もあります。ですから、アメリカの大学の共産勢力は、「原理研究会の学生たちに会ってはいけない」と言っているのです。日本で行ったのと同じ結果が、アメリカの原理研究会でも起きているというのです。
 
 24 日本では、ＹＭＣＡやＹＷＣＡのようなキリスト教団体の活動は微弱です。私たちがそれに代わる組織をつくり、教育していきながら活動をしようとしたので、時間がかかりました。学校の当局も反対し、教師たちも反対する中でこのことをしているというのは、どれほど胸の詰まることかというのです。共産党の言葉にすべて乗せられたのです。それがどれほど悲惨だったかを、私の目で見て、報道でも見ました。皆さんは、そのようなあきれ返る事情が多かったことを知らないでしょう。
 
お父様は日本のために闘いました。日本の中心大学から闘っていったのです。政治的な面で影響圏をつくり、社会分野で共産党の基地を討伐しなければなりません。ですから、日本共産党がお父様をどれほど恐れているか分かりません。「統一教会が存在せず、原理研究会さえ存在しなければ、日本は間違いなく共産化され、赤化されるはずなのに、統一教会のせいで大変なことになった」と言っています。そのような準備をしてきました。
 
 25 アメリカの若者たちの心に火をつけなければなりません。大学原理研究会の活動を中心として大学を正常化させ、家庭を訪ねていって、家庭教会を中心として伝道しなさいと命令したのです。アメリカの家庭の若者も、私たちのような若者にしなければならず、大学では私たちの青年のような青年にしなければなりません。そうして、アメリカが反対せず、お父様を支持する環境になっていけば、その次は共産勢力をつかむのです。
 
お父様が今まで韓国で勝共活動をしたその伝統を日本に伝授し、アメリカに伝授し、ソ連にまで伝授しなければなりません。大学では原理研究会がどんな活動をしなければならず、現在の家庭教会活動はアメリカでどんな伝統を残さなければならないかを知らなければなりません。そうして、私たちは、共産主義の問題と青少年の淪落問題を解決しなければなりません。皆さんが原理と徹底した家庭的基盤を中心として、彼らを教育しなければならないのです。
 
 26 皆さんは、天意に従う若者たちにならなければなりません。そこには異議がありません。お父様が歩んだのと同じように、黙って自分の行くべき道を決意しながら、進まなければなりません。皆さんを通してそのような雰囲気が大学に拡大し、一つの風潮になるとすれば、大韓民国の大学において新しい希望の灯台となるでしょう。
 
日本の大学原理研究会は、韓国の大学原理研究会よりも先を行っています。今や、アメリカの大学原理研究会が動いています。ドイツのベルリンに原理研究会の若い青年たちを集め、ベルリンの壁の問題を提起させるでしょう。数多くの若者たちを集めて、ベルリンの壁を私の手で崩そうというのです。皆さんにそのようにする勇気がないとすれば、大韓民国を守護する若者にもなれず、世界を守護する統一家の原理研究会会員にもなることはできません。私たちは、その目標に向かって、強く雄々しく前進しなければなりません。
 
 27 私たちが大学の学生たちと教授たちを動かせなくなれば、大韓民国は生きる道がありません。西ヨーロッパの国々もすべてそのようになっています。
 
ベルリンで共産勢力が反対し、市民たちが反対する中、大学原理研究会の世界大会を行うのです。第一次、第二次、第三次の大会を終わらせ、今回、ベルリンの壁を撃破するでしょう。大学生を中心に問題を起こし、共産勢力を追い出す運動をするのです。それは、ただ座っていてできることではありません。それは考えられません。誰かが血と汗を流さなければならないのです。銃弾を浴び、血を流しながらも、しなければならないのです。そのようにしなければ、南北を統一することはできません。
 
 28 大学で左翼系列の人々を連れてきて、教育しなければなりません。現在、世界的に見れば、共産主義体制はなくなりましたが、民主主義体制も瓦解状態に入ってきています。かえって、共産主義という反対勢力がここに反作用を起こし得る動機となり、自体内において自覚をもたせる活性剤の役割を果たしました。共産主義が崩れることによって、民主世界が思いどおりにできるという考えは、誤った考えです。かえって、共産主義がなくなったあとに、民主世界の崩壊状態はより一層進むでしょう。
 
左翼系列も混乱状態に入っており、民主世界も混乱状態に入っているので、それこそ、両面の教育をすべき時が来ます。それでは、教授たちにそのようなことを教育するだけの実力があるかといえば、そうではありません。学校でも、それに対する対策を立てて防げる内容がないというのです。そのような防御的な教育を私たちが提案しなければなりません。ですから、大学原理研究会を中心とした大学活動を衰退させてはいけない時だと見るのです。

Chambumo Gyeong - 225. The National Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles

The National Collegiate Association At the Second Special Workshop for College Students and Young People, held on January 9, 1966, True Parents said, "From now on, you must take great interest in college campuses and invest your efforts to enlighten and bring together college students who are wandering around without any idea of where they ought to go." Motivated by these words, the young people attending the workshop all resolved to become standard-bearers in the Divine Principle movement on college campuses. In this manner, the National Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles was inaugurated on January 10,1966. After being registered as a club in colleges across Korea, CARP took the lead in teaching the Unification Principle and conducting Victory Over Communism activities. (025-079, 1969/09/30)
 
12 Our mission is to unite the two camps, democracy and communism. To do so, we need to deploy at least one person to each of 2,400 townships across the nation. If we are going to deploy people in teams of three, we need more than 7,000 people, and they ought to be college graduates or higher.

Originally we were going to do this focusing on Ewha Woman’s University and Yonsei University. But after that broke down we had to change our direction. Accordingly, we focused on middle school and high school students.

The first three years of the first seven-year course was the period in which we had to show people that they need to work together with Unification Church members. Under the current circumstances, South Korea has no way to block communist infiltration of the lower classes. Accordingly, we distributed the Divine Principle to people in rural areas and followed this up with practical guidance and education.

In each township, trinities had to take charge of leadership guidance, daily-life guidance, and education. If college students who are sent out for one year to these locations take responsibility for providing secondary education, they will experience life in the rural communities and come to love their country. To bring the true teaching of self-sacrifice for the sake of the people to university campuses, we need to have young people who have borne the responsibility of conducting matters for village development. This is the purpose for establishing the National Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles. (016-144, 1966/01/10)
 
13 The rise or fall of a nation depends on the young people of that nation. We are conducting national university student training for the sake of the spiritual formation of those students. We have to prepare the proper environment for the students to sprout and grow. They must be able to adapt to that environment. Any ancestor who stood on the front line of historical progress was a happy person. What will be done about the future that comes after you and me? If my descendants and I can march forward sharing one coherent goal, we will be on a blessed path. In history, you can advance further when you are facing in the right direction.

Today numerous people who have one goal are living in this world. This is the same as many plants facing the light of the sun. God has continued to weave history by establishing the stalk of a sprout and forming the horizontal environment. Even now, God continuously searches for the individual, family, tribe, people, nation and world that can become that sprout. Korea needs to be this sprout, but to do so, it has to undergo hardships. The sprout experiences every trial that the different branches experience, and it must overcome them to make progress. Likewise, we must overcome the trials we face in the world. 14 Unification believers must become gushing springs of water. This is the opposite of a waterfall. Spring water wants to flow to the place where its purity is not defiled. Even wild animals visit the spring to drink. Pure spring water runs through a huge rock. Mountains that have no springs cannot become famous. Everyone desires to drink that water. You college students especially need to become like a spring that can clean up the corruption in the Republic of Korea. For spring water to hold value for the life of human beings, it absolutely must keep its purity. I hope that you will all become springs of water. (017-209, 1966/12/21)
 
15 The question is, how many core members of CARP are there? In this regard, I decided to establish and manage centers to carry out social activities on college campuses. We need to establish a center in every university. By taking this approach, we will gain results. In this manner, through CARP, we should strengthen the relationships of the Seonghwa students in the centers. By their junior or senior year, college students can be leaders and give Divine Principle lectures. They will enroll in every course of university study and teach others about our principles. If we strengthen our organization like this, we will see rapid development in a short period.

I also plan to station college graduates in all parts of Korea. University students need to play a leading role in society and in the church. They must take ownership in the church as they fulfill their responsibilities. You need to understand the atmosphere of the church and create your own atmosphere where young people can become the standard of hope in the church. (022-063, 1969/01/19)
 
16 In the future, we are going to make CARP our core organization. Accordingly, we will deploy its members who have made the absolute resolution to carry out their work. I believe that if we strengthen our activities in this way, our church will grow and CARP will grow remarkably in a short time. Since I am now thinking of advancing in this direction, you need to know the overall plan and make resolutions in new fields. We need to organize CARP worldwide and host international meetings, not only in Korea but also in other countries including Japan and the United States. I plan to train key members of CARP as global personnel who will work as core members in every country. (022-065, 1969/01/19)
 
17 We have now reached the stage at which people who were curious about me, arguing my pros and cons and criticizing me in various ways, are now praising us and attending the International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences (ICUS). When people at universities studying philosophy or researching religion or ideologies begin to promote us, people studying natural science or social science naturally will follow them.

Soon CARP will develop. We will connect with professors who take interest in our church. I also formed and deployed the CARP mobile team to build connections with them. That is why I am saying that our American state and city leaders should form active relationships with these professors through ICUS, as if the professors were their grandfather or grandmother, father, mother or uncle. As a result, those people will recommend students with whom we can organize CARP as a formal campus club. (089-270, 1976/12/04)
 
18 Full-time CARP members must be able to launch a whirlwind of activities on university campuses. Young, studious men and women, their passion filled with vitality, must explode to excavate deep valleys of love based on the values of heavenly law. By so doing, they will pave the way that can reach the world. Heaven is worried about the power of communism, the collapse of churches and the corruption of youth. We need to take hold of the young men and women who are walking down the path of corruption. We need to take hold of the Christian churches whose faith is breaking down. And we need to stand against the power of communism, which is trying to burrow into the crumbling edifice of Christian theology. (121-180, 1982/10/24)
 
19 I have high hopes for the work of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles on university campuses. We must connect revivals and Victory Over Communism campaigns with CARP. The question is how CARP can work together on college campuses with organizations such as the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) or Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA), rather than smaller interdenominational organizations that are limited to one campus.

I also plan to focus CARP activities to connect with the college students who join our church through our revivals. In the future, CARP activities will not be limited to the confines of college campuses. If you are a university student, it means you graduated from middle school and high school, so you must have an alma mater, and there is also the school where you are currently registered. You are not the only one in that school; you have comrades and friends and classmates studying the same subjects. You need to develop a means by which you can connect personally with your fellow alumni, school friends and classmates. (022-054, 1969/01/19)
 
20 Government authorities of the Republic of Korea have officially authorized the term "Victory Over Communism" that we use for our anti-communist activities. This is analogous to Jacob being named Israel after his victory wrestling with the angel at the ford of the Jabbok River. In this regard, I believe that the victory through which we can accomplish the Will already has been proclaimed.

On this foundation of the vertical standard of victory having already been achieved, we need an organization that can bring victory horizontally. Christianity alone cannot do this. We need to restore the world through the principle of unity. To do this, we need to base ourselves on an academic and philosophical foundation. If we examine these activities in detail, our anti-communism movement is the philosophical work connected with academic circles, our external witnessing activity is the work connected with the church, and CARP is the work carried out in connection with students. 21 I am saying that through our Victory Over Communism campaign, we need to anticipate and block the route of the people who uphold communist ideology and are trying to infiltrate universities. From this perspective, we need to understand the importance of the work that CARP must do. The ultimate victory or defeat of the Unification Principle will be decided based on worldwide academia. Therefore, to present the Unification Principle to the world, we first need to introduce it to professors who are authorities in philosophy or theology. We will spread the Unification Principle by getting these professors to present it to academia around the world. Before this can occur, we have to build our foundation both internally and externally. 22 Communists carry out their work through laborers, farmers and labor unions. They also manipulate students and professors. Until now, this is the method by which communism has been corroding the world. After rallying professors and students on university campuses and instigating laborers and farmers, they stir up chaos using crowds of demonstrators. As a defense against that, CARP needs to educate professors. For this purpose, I founded the Professors World Peace Academy (PWPA) long ago, and since then it has continually carried out its work. 23 The Japanese and American CARP chapters are fighting communists on the front line. In Korea we could fight communists, but since they work underground we do not know who they are. We can work only through educational materials, unable to engage in life-and-death confrontations out in the open. However, in Japan we have openly engaged in life-and-death confrontations and posted the news of our victories. In the United States, CARP began this work in 1979, and by late 1980 it had blocked all kinds of communist trends that already were sweeping across American campuses. We achieved the same victory we won in Japan. There was even an instance where five CARP members went to the place where hundreds of communist students were demonstrating and completely subjugated them. The American chapter of CARP has achieved the same result as that achieved in Japan. That is why communist leaders on American campuses are telling students not to associate with CARP members. 24 In Japan, Christian organizations like YMCA and YWCA carry out little or no activity. Therefore, it took us a long time to get over the hurdles to create an organization to educate people. Do you know how discouraged we were in carrying out this work, when the school authorities and the teachers opposed us? Everyone was deceived by the communists' words. You do not know the extent of those discouraging circumstances. I have heard reports and have seen firsthand how miserable that is. We need to create a circle of political influence and subjugate the communist base in the social sector.

I fought for Japan. My fight for Japan began at the important Japanese universities. You do not know how much the Japanese communists fear me. They are saying, "If the Unification Church and CARP did not exist, Japan would certainly have been communized and Bolshevized. But because of the Unification Church we are really struggling." 25 We need to ignite the spirit of young Americans. I called our members to restore morality on university campuses through the activities of CARP and to carry out door-to-door witnessing through home church. We need to influence the young people of American families to become young people like you. On campuses we need to educate the students to become like you.

Then, after we have created the environment in which the United States does not oppose me but supports me, we can deal with communism. I need to pass on the tradition of anti-communism work, which I have carried out until now in Korea, to Japan, the United States and even the Soviet Union. We must understand the campus activities that CARP must conduct and the traditions of home church activities that must be established in the United States. Using these, we must solve the problem of communism and the corruption of young people. Based on the family foundation, we need to educate thoroughly with the Divine Principle. 26 You need to become the young people who follow the providence of heaven without hesitation, committing silently to this path, just as I did. If this atmosphere spreads to university campuses through you and becomes a trend, it will be a beacon of hope on Korea's university campuses. The Japanese CARP chapters are ahead of the Korean chapters. And now the American chapters are on the move.

We will bring the young people of CARP together in Berlin to demonstrate against the Berlin Wall. We will bring together many young people to tear down the Wall with their own hands. If you do not have the courage to do that, you are not the young people who can safeguard the Republic of Korea, and you are not CARP members of the Unification family who can safeguard the world. 27 If we cannot move the professors and students on university campuses, the Republic of Korea will have no way to survive, nor will the countries of Western Europe. We are holding a CARP world assembly in Berlin, where the communist powers and the citizens are opposing us. After holding three such assemblies, we are going to destroy the Berlin Wall. We are carrying out a movement that motivates university students to expose the problems of communism in order to expel it. If we sit still and do nothing, there is not even a slight chance that this will happen. Someone needs to shed blood and sweat. Someone needs to carry out this work even after being hit by a bullet and shedding blood. Otherwise, South Korea and North Korea cannot be unified. (167-273, 1987/07/21)
 
28 We need to gather and educate leftists on university campuses. When you look at today s world, many communist governments have disappeared, but democratic governments are also toppling. In fact, the force of communism motivated a counteractive force within democracy, which activated a degree of self-awareness.

The belief that the democratic world will flourish because communism is collapsing is mistaken. On the contrary, after communism disappears, the breakdown of the democratic world will take place more rapidly. The left-wing structure is falling into a state of chaos, and the democratic world is also falling into a state of chaos, so the time has come when we need to educate both sides.

That being the case, if we were to ask ourselves if university professors are able to provide this education, the answer would be "no." They have no instructive materials to teach how to defend against chaos. We are the ones who must provide this defensive education. That is why I believe this is not the time to curtail the activities of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles on college campuses. (241-054, 1992/12/19)
