본문: 로마서8:26절 이와 같이 성령도 우리 연약함을 도우시나니 우리가 마땅히 빌 바를 알지 못하나 오직 성령님이 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리를 위하여 친히 간구하시느니라. 아멘.

빌립보서4:6절 아무것도 염려하지 말고 오직 모든 일에 기도와 간구로 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라. 아멘.

설교문:

기도와 관련하여 성경에 기록된 여러 가지 방법들을 살펴보면 다음과 같습니다. 여기서 우리가 알 수 있는 것은 기도의 방법, 형식이 참으로 다양하다는 사실입니다. 따라서 지혜롭게 상황에 적합한 형식을 취할 수 있어야 함과 동시에, 기도의 본질을 해치지 않는 이상 방법이나 형식의 문제로 상호 비방하거나 정죄해서는 안 될 것입니다. 특히 2천년 교회 역사 가운데 다양하고 심도 있는 기도의 방법들이 영성훈련 가운데 계승되어 왔으나 한국 개신교의 경우 여러 사정으로 인해 제대로 훈련되어지지 못했습니다.

￭시간

매일 아침(시5:3여호와여, 아침에 주께서 나의 소리를 들으시리니 아침에 내가 주께 기도하고 바라리이다.), 하루 종일(시86:3여호와여, 나의 기도에 귀를 기울이시고 나의 간구하는 소리를 들으소서.), 아침‧저녁으로(시92:2 [안식일의 찬송 시] 지존자여, 십 현금과 비파와 수금의 정숙한 소리로 여호와께 감사하며 주님의 이름을 찬양하며 아침에 주님의 인자하심을 나타내며 밤마다 주님의 성실하심을 베풂이 좋으니이다.), 밤에(심야기도)(시119:55여호와여, 내가 밤에 주님의 이름을 기억하고 주님의 법을 지켰나이다.), 새벽에(새벽기도)(막1:35새벽 오히려 미명에 예수님께서 일어나 나가 한적한 곳으로 가사 거기서 기도하시더니.), 밤새도록(철야기도)(눅6:12이때에 예수님께서 기도하시러 산으로 가사 밤이 맞도록 하나님께 기도하시고.), 오후에(행3:1제 구 시

머리를 숙이고 함(창24:26이에 그 사람이 머리를 숙여 여호와께 경배하고. ), 소리 없이 함(삼상1:12,13 12그가 여호와 앞에 오래 기도하는 동안에 엘리가 그의 입을 주목한즉 13한나가 속으로 말하매 입술만 동하고 음성은 들리지 아니하므로 엘리는 그가 취한 줄로 생각한지라.), 손을 들고 함(왕상8:22 솔로몬이 여호와의 단 앞에서 이스라엘의 온 회중을 마주서서 하늘을 향하여 손을 펴고.), 얼굴을 무릎 사이에 넣고 함(왕상18:42아합이 먹고 마시러 올라가니라 엘리야가 갈멜 산꼭대기로 올라가서 땅에 꿇어 엎드려 그 얼굴을 무릎 사이에 넣고.), 벽을 보고 함(왕하20:2히스기야가 낯을 벽으로 향하고 여호와께 기도하여 가로되.), 엎드려서 함(마26:39조금 나아가사 얼굴을 땅에 대시고 엎드려 기도하여 가라사대 내 아버지여 만일 할 만하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 지나가게 하옵소서 그러나 나의 원대로 마옵시고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서 하시고.), 가슴을 치면서 함(눅18:13세리는 멀리 서서 감히 눈을 들어 하늘을 우러러 보지도 못하고 다만 가슴을 치며 가로되 하나님이여 불쌍히 여기옵소서 나는 죄인이로소이다 하였느니라.), 하늘을 쳐다보며 함(요11:41돌을 옮겨 놓으니 예수께서 눈을 들어 우러러 보시고 가라사대 아버지여 내 말을 들으신 것을 감사하나이다.), 무릎을 꿇고 함(행20:36이 말을 한 후 무릎을 꿇고 저희 모든 사람과 함께 기도하니.).

￭기도할 때의 올바른 태도

회개하는 마음으로(대하7:14내 이름으로 일컫는 내 백성이 그 악한 길에서 떠나 스스로 겸비하고 기도하여 내 얼굴을 구하면 내가 하늘에서 듣고 그 죄를 사하고 그 땅을 고칠지라.), 순결한 마음으로(시66:18내가 내 마음에 죄악을 품으면 주께서 듣지 아니하시리라.), 간결하게(전5:2너는 하나님 앞에서 함부로 입을 열지 말며 급한 마음으로 말을 내지 말라 하나님은 하늘에 계시고 너는 땅에 있음이니라 그런즉 마땅히 말을 적게 할 것이라.), 전심전력하여(렘29:13너희가 전심으로 나를 찾고 찾으면 나를 만나리라.And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.), 사람에게 보이려는 마음 없이(마6:5,6 5또 너희가 기도할 때에 외식하는 자와 같이 되지 말라 저희는 사람에게 보이려고 회당과 큰 거리 어귀에 서서 기도하기를 좋아하느니라 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 저희는 자기 상을 이미 받았느니라 6너는 기도할 때에 네 골방에 들어가 문을 닫고 은밀한 중에 계신 네 아버지께 기도하라 은밀한 중에 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚으시리라.), 은밀하게(마6:6너는 기도할 때에 네 골방에 들어가 문을 닫고 은밀한 중에 계신 네 아버지께 기도하라 은밀한 중에 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚으시리라.), 중언부언하지 않고(마6:7또 기도할 때에 이방인과 같이 중언부언하지 말라. 저희는 말을 많이 하여야 들으실 줄 생각하느니라.), 타인의 죄를 용서하며(마6:14너희가 사람의 과실을 용서하면 너희 천부께서도 너희 과실을 용서하시려니와.), 간절하게(마7:7구하라. 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라. 그러면 찾을 것이요 문을 두드리라 그러면 너희에게 열릴 것이니.), 인내하며(막10:46~52 46저희가 여리고에 이르렀더니 예수님께서 제자들과 허다한 무리와 함께 여리고에서 나가실 때에 디매오의 아들인 소경 거지 바디매오가 길가에 앉았다가 47나사렛 예수시란 말을 듣고 소리질러 가로되 다윗의 자손 예수여 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 하거늘 48많은 사람이 꾸짖어 잠잠하라 하되 그가 더욱 심히 소리질러 가로되 다윗의 자손이여 나를 불쌍히 여기소서 하는지라 49예수께서 머물러 서서 저를 부르라 하시니 저희가 그 소경을 부르며 이르되 안심하고 일어나라 너를 부르신다 하매 50소경이 겉옷을 내어 버리고 뛰어 일어나 예수께 나아오거늘 51예수께서 일러 가라사대 네게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐 소경이 가로되 선생님이여 보기를 원하나이다 52예수께서 이르시되 가라 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였느니라 하시니 저가 곧 보게 되어 예수를 길에서 좇으니라.), 믿음으로(막11:24그러므로 내가 너희에게 말하노니 무엇이든지 기도하고 구하는 것은 받은 줄로 믿으라 그리하면 너희에게 그대로 되리라.), 겸손한 마음으로(눅18:10~14 10두 사람이 기도하러 성전에 올라가니 하나는 바리새인이요 하나는 세리라 11바리새인은 서서 따로 기도하여 가로되 하나님이여 나는 다른 사람들 곧 토색, 불의, 간음을 하는 자들과 같지 아니하고 이 세리와도 같지 아니함을 감사하나이다 12나는 이레에 두 번씩 금식하고 또 소득의 십일조를 드리나이다 하고 13세리는 멀리 서서 감히 눈을 들어 하늘을 우러러 보지도 못하고 다만 가슴을 치며 가로되 하나님이여 불쌍히 여기옵소서 나는 죄인이로소이다 하였느니라 14내가 너희에게 이르노니 이 사람이 저보다 의롭다 하심을 받고 집에 내려갔느니라 무릇 자기를 높이는 자는 낮아지고 자기를 낮추는 자는 높아지리라 하시니라.), 성령님 안에서(엡6:18모든 기도와 간구로 하되 무시로 성령님 안에서 기도하고 이를 위하여 깨어 구하기를 항상 힘쓰며 여러 교회 공동체를 위하여 구하고.), 감사하는 마음으로(빌4:6아무것도 염려하지 말고 오직 모든 일에 기도와 간구로 너희 구할 것을 감사함으로 하나님께 아뢰라.), 의로운 자세로(약5:16이러므로 너희 죄를 서로 고하며 병 낫기를 위하여 서로 기도하라 의인의 간구는 역사하는 힘이 많으니라.), 순종하는 마음으로(요일3:22 무엇이든지 구하는 바를 그에게 받나니 이는 우리가 그의 계명들을 지키고 그 앞에서 기뻐하시는 것을 행함이라.)

※ 예수님이 경계하시는 잘못된 기도

예수님은 제자들에게 기도를 가르치면서 2가지 잘못된 기도를 드리지 않도록 주의하라고 말씀하십니다. 그 첫째는 바리새인의 외식하는 기도요, 다른 하나는 이방인의 중언부언하는 기도입니다.

1)바리새인의 외식하는 기도

“또 너희가 기도할 때에 외식하는 사람과 같이 되지 말라. 저희는 사람에게 보이려고 회당과 거리 어귀에 서서 기도하기를 좋아하느니라. 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 저희는 자기상을 이미 받았느니라.”(마6:5).

예수님은 기도를 가르치시면서 먼저 외식하는 기도를 경계하십니다. 바리새인들에게는 외식하는 사람이라는 별명이 붙어 있습니다. 그들은 기도하는 시간이 되면 큰 거리 어귀에 나와서 사람들이 보는 앞에서 기도했습니다. 그들이 얼마나 사람에게 보이는데 신경을 썼는가 하는 점은 그들이 일주일에 두 번 금식하면서 예루살렘의 장날인 월요일과 목요일을 택하여 금식했다는 사실에 잘 나타나 있습니다. 예수님은 바리새인들을 향하여 “화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 회칠한 무덤 같으니 겉으로는 아름답게 보이나 그 안에는 죽은 사람의 뼈와 모든 더러운 것이 가득하도다.”(마23:27). 하고 책망합니다.

그들은 사람들에게 본을 보여 모든 사람으로 구별된 삶을 살게 하려는 선한 뜻을 가지고 있었을 것입니다. 그러나 그들의 외식이 지나쳐, 외모를 중시하고 사람에게 보이려는 헛된 교만과 욕망에 빠져 선한 의도가 악한 결과를 낳고 있습니다. 예수님은 그들의 외식을 경계한다. 특히 기도는 하나님께 마음을 쏟아 그분과 교제하는 것인데 사람에게 보이려는 외식하는 생각 때문에 바리새인들은 하나님과의 관계보다 사람들과의 관계에 더 비중을 두고 생각하게 되었습니다. 그들의 기도는 하나님보다 사람에게 더 마음을 쓰는 잘못된 기도가 된 것입니다.

예수님께서 바리새인의 기도를 경계하신 이유는 바리새인들이 중심을 보시는 하나님을 외모를 보시는 하나님으로 바꾸어 놓고 있기 때문입니다. 예수님은 바리새인들의 기도를 경계하면서 분명하게 기도의 요체를 가르치고 있습니다.

첫째로, 기도는 하나님께 드리는 것이기 때문에 기도의 외모보다는 기도자의 중심을 하나님께 바쳐 기도해야 한다는 것입니다. 은밀한 골방의 기도는 하나님께만 드리는 기도, 즉 마음의 기도입니다. 우리의 마음만 하나님을 향하여 집중되어 있으면 표현이 어떠하든지 상관없이 하나님께서 받으십니다. “너는 기도할 때에 네 골방에 들어가 문을 닫고 은밀한 중에 계신 아버지께 기도하라 은밀한 중에 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚으시리라.”(마5:6).

둘째로, 예수님은 기도할 때에 우리의 외모나 표현이나 방법이나 기술 때문에 기도의 응답이 좌우된다는 생각을 가져서는 안 된다

고 암시하고 있습니다. 하나님은 우리 마음의 골방을 보신다. 우리가 떠듬거리거나 기도하는 법을 잘 모른다고 할지라도 우리교회 공동체의 마음이 그를 향하여 중심으로 기도하면 그분은 받으십니다. 사무엘의 어머니 한나의 기도는 엘리 제사장이 보기에는 술에 취한 자가 중얼거리는 것으로 보였습니다. 제사장은 한나를 향해 “네가 언제까지 취하여 있겠느냐 포도주를 끊으라.”(삼상1:14)고 책망합니다. 그러나 한나는 중심으로 하나님께 기도하고 있었고 하나님은 그의 기도를 들으사 사무엘을 낳아 타락한 이스라엘을 구원하는 제사장을 삼았습니다.

예수님은 우리가 기도할 때에 우리교회 공동체의 중심을 하나님께 쏟아 하나님과 교제하라고 가르칩니다. 그러므로 우리교회 공동체는 우리교회 공동체의 기도의 방식이나 표현이나 외모에 신경을 쓸 것이 아니라 진정 마음을 바쳐 기도하는 중심의 기도, 골방의 기도를 격려하고 개발해야 합니다. 떠듬거리는 기도, 연약한 기도, 유창하지 못한 짧은 기도 때문에 고민할 것이 아니라 마음 중심을 주님께 드리지 못하는 것을 안타까워해야 할 것입니다.

2)이방인의 중언부언하는 기도

“또 기도할 때에 이방인과 같이 중언부언하지 말라 저희는 말을 많이 하여야 들으실 줄 아느니라.”(마6:7).

예수님은 바로 이어 이방인의 중언부언(重言復言)하는 기도를 경계하십니다. 중언부언하는 기도는 말에 말을 반복하여 하는 기도입니다. 예수님 당시 이방인 도시 에베소에는 고대 7대 불가사의 중 하나인 아데미 여신상을 모신 신당이 있었는데, 사람들은 신당에 들어가 아데미 여신상 앞에서 “크다 아데미여! Is big Artemis!” 하는 기도를 반복해서 드리면 기도 응답을 받는다고 생각했습니다. 이때 기도하는 사람들은 얼마나 “크다 아데미여! Is big Artemis!”를 많이 반복하느냐에 따라서 기도의 응답이 달라진다고 생각하고 오랫동안 쉬지 않고 그 말을 반복했습니다.(행19:34 저희는 그가 유대인인 줄 알고 다 한 소리로 외쳐 가로되 크다 에베소 사람의 아데미여 하기를 두 시 동안이나 하더니.) 이같은 이방인의 기도에 대한 이해는 철저히 공덕사상에 기초하고 있습니다.

이러한 사고가 기독교 기도생활에도 영향을 미친 것이 사실입니다. 그리스도인들도 이방인들처럼 기도를 길게 하여야 잘 응답받는다 생각하여 더 길게 기도하고 싶은 유혹을 받았습니다. 예수님께서 경계하시는 것이 바로 이 점입니다. 이방인들은 얼마나 열심히 길게 기도했느냐에 따라서 신의 응답이 좌우된다는 생각입니다. 그들은 기도의 응답이 신께서 주시는 선물이라기보다는 우리가 쟁취해서 얻어내어야 할 보상이나 대가로 생각합니다. 그러므로 이방인들은 누가 더 많은 공덕을 쌓았느냐? 누가 더 말을 많이 하고 더 오래 기도했느냐에 따라 기도의 응답이 당연히 달라진다고 믿었습니다.

이와 같은 이방인의 사상이 기독교에 영향을 미칠 때, 그것은 하나님의 은혜로 구원받으며, 성령의 은사는 하나님의 선물이라는, 기독교의 은혜의 기초를 무너뜨리고 인간의 노력이 하나님의 응답을 좌우한다는 공덕종교로 떨어지게 만듭니다. 그러므로 예수님은 단순히 한마디로 이러한 위험성을 경계하고 있습니다. '저희는 말을 많이 하여야 들으실 줄 아느니라' 즉, 기도의 길이와 기도의 응답은 비례하지 않는다는 말씀입니다. 기도를 길게 했기 때문에 응답하는 것도 아니고, 기도를 짧게 했기 때문에 응답받지 못하는 것도 아닙니다. 예수님께서 친히 가르치신 기도(주기도<마6:9~13 9그러므로 너희는 이렇게 기도하라 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며 10나라가 임하옵시며 뜻이 하늘에서 이룬 것같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다 11오늘날 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주옵시고 12우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준 것같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주옵시고 13우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마옵시고 다만 악에서 구하옵소서 (나라와 권세와 영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다 아멘)>.)는 30-35초의 기도입니다. 이것은 우리교회 공동체의 기도가 30초만큼 짧다고 해도 우리교회 공동체는 주님은 응답하신다는 것입니다. 다른 사람보다 더 길게 기도하려는 유혹을 물리치고 기도가 길든지 짧든지 간에 우리교회 공동체 중심을 하나님께 드려야 합니다. 기도 제목이 넘쳐 오랜 시간 기도를 드릴 수 있는 것도 주님의 은혜요, 짧은 시간이지만 심령을 집중하여 중심으로 기도 드리게 되는 것도 주님의 은혜입니다.

신앙은 ‘전체의 삶. Whole life.’이다. 평소 자신이 드리는 기도의 내용과 삶이 일치하지 않고 분리되어 있다면, 아무리 그 형식이 정교하고 수려하며, 오랜 시간 공력을 쌓는다 할지라도, 어찌 그 기도를 진실한 기도라고 말할 수 있겠는가? 말만 번지르르하게 하는 자식과 말 없어도 진실한 자식을 어찌 부모가 모르겠는가? 우리교회 공동체를 지으신 하나님께서는 우리교회 공동체의 형편과 사정을 누구보다 정확히 분명히 아시는 분이십니다. 그러므로 우리교회 공동체가 진실로 아버지 하나님을 ‘신임. Confidence.’하고 있다면, 중언부언하는 기도의 형식이 아니라, 매일 매순간의 진실 된 삶으로 기도드려야 할 것입니다.

“내 이름으로 일컫는 내 백성이 그 악한 길에서 떠나 스스로 겸비하고 기도하여 내 얼굴을 구하면 내가 하늘에서 듣고 그 죄를 사하고 그 땅을 고칠지라.”(대하7:14).

“내가 내 마음에 죄악을 품으면 주께서 듣지 아니하시리라.”(시66:18).

“너는 하나님 앞에서 함부로 입을 열지 말며 급한 마음으로 말을 내지 말라 하나님은 하늘에 계시고 너는 땅에 있음이니라 그런즉 마땅히 말을 적게 할 것이라.”(전5:2).

“너희가 전심으로 나를 찾고 찾으면 나를 만나리라.”(렘29:13).

※ 다른 사람을 위한 기도(중보기도)

기도의 내용을 자신을 위함에서 다른 사람을 위함으로 바꾸는 것은 우리교회 공동체의 무게 중심을 우리 자신의 필요에서 다른 사람들의 필요와 관심사로 옮기는 것입니다. 그래서 본 회퍼는 “중보기도는 우리를 깨끗하게 하는 욕조와 같아서 개개인이 날마다 들어가야 하는 곳이며 교제가 날마다 이루어져야 할 곳이다.”라고 하여 다른 사람을 위한 기도를 강조했습니다. 성경은 이 사실에 대해 어떻게 말하고 있는가? 이 기도의 유익은 무엇이며 이 기도를 위한 훈련에는 어떤 방법이 있습니까?

1)성경에 나타난 중보기도

선지자 사무엘에게 백성들이 나아와 자신들을 위해 기도해 주기를 요청합니다(삼상12:19모든 백성이 사무엘에게 이르되 당신의 종들을 위하여 당신의 하나님 여호와께 기도하여 우리로 죽지 않게 하소서 우리가 우리의 모든 죄에 왕을 구하는 악을 더하였나이다.). 이 요청에 대해 여러 가지 말하는 내용 중에 다음과 같은 선지자 사무엘의 결단이 나타납니다. “나는 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 쉬는 죄를 여호와 앞에 결단코 범치 아니하고 선하고 의로운 도를 너희에게 가르칠 것인즉.”(삼상12:23).

다른 사람을 위하여 기도하는 것을 쉬는 것이 왜 죄입니까? 보통 우리교회 공동체는 성경에서 하지 말라는 것을 하게 되는 것이 죄라고 여기지만 보다 적극적인 의미에서는 마땅히 해야 할 일을 하지 않음이 더 큰 죄임을 기억해야 합니다. 하나님께서 소돔, 고모라를 심판하실 때, 아브라함의 기도를 들으시고 롯을 구원해 주셨습니다. 모세의 중보기도를 들으시고 하나님께서는 수없이 이스라엘 백성들을 용서하셨습니다. 예수님께서는 제자들과 우리들을 위해 기도하십니다. 제자들은 진리로 거룩케 해 주시기를(요17:17저희를 진리로 거룩하게 하옵소서 아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다.), 사도 베드로의 믿음이 떨어지지 않기를(눅22:31~32 31시몬아, 시몬아, 보라 사단이 밀 까부르듯 하려고 너희를 청구하였으나 32그러나 내가 너를 위하여 네 믿음이 떨어지지 않기를 기도하였노니 너는 돌이킨 후에 네 형제를 굳게 하라.), 그리고 지금은 하나님 우편에서 교회 공동체를 위해 간구하고 계십니다.

“...죽으실 뿐 아니라 다시 살아나신 이는 그리스도 예수시니 그는 하나님 우편에 계신 자요 우리를 위하여 간구하시는 자시니라.”(롬8:34). 성령께서도 우리교회 공동체의 연약함을 아시고 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리교회 공동체를 위해 친히 간구하신다(롬8:26이와 같이 성령도 우리 연약함을 도우시나니 우리가 마땅히 빌 바를 알지 못하나 오직 성령이 말할 수 없는 탄식으로 우리를 위하여 친히 간구하시느니라.).

사도 바울은 자신이 중보기도 할 뿐만 아니라 교회 공동체들도 자신을 위해 중보기도해 주기를 요청했습니다. “형제들아 내가 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암고 성령의 사랑으로 말미암아 너희를 권하노니 너희 기도에 나와 힘을 같이하여 나를 위하여 하나님께 빌어.”(롬15:30).

2)중보기도의 효과

다른 사람을 위한 기도는 많은 역사를 이루게 됩니다. 무엇보다 주님께서 제자들에게 가르쳐 주신 기도의 정신 “하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여! My father which is to heaven!”의 ‘우리교회 공동체. Our church community.’의 정신을 실현해 나갈 수 있게 됩니다. 하나님은 나의 아버지이시면서 또한 믿는 자, 믿지 않는 자, 우리교회 공동체가 사랑하는 사람, 사랑하지 않는 사람들의 아버지이시다. 그들에 대한 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지도록 하는 것은 중보기도의 역사입니다. 중보기도가 가져오는 역사는 구체적으로 다음과 같습니다.

￭다른 사람을 위한 관심을 가지게 합니다.

우리교회 공동체의 기도에 다른 사람을 위해 기도한다는 것은 그에 대한 관심과 사랑을 갖고 있음을 의미합니다. 사도 바울은 디모데를 위해 기도하고 있음을 다음과 같이 말합니다. “나의 밤낮 간구하는 가운데 쉬지 않고 너를 생각하여 청결한 양심으로 조상적부터 섬겨오는 하나님께 감사하고.”(딤후1:3).

￭우리교회 공동체가 다른 사람들을 위해 할 수 없는 일을 기도가 이룹니다.

기도는 시간과 공간을 초월하여 하나님의 역사를 이룹니다. 특히 우리가 할 수 없는 일들을 하나님께서 이루어 나가십니다. 그리하여 위해서 기도하는 사람과 하나님의 역사를 체험한 이들이 함께 하나님을 찬양하게 됩니다. “너희도 우리를 위하여 간구함으로 도우라 이는 우리가 많은 사람의 기도를 얻은 은사로 인하여 많은 사람도 우리를 위하여 감사하게 하려 함이라.”(고후1:11).

￭핍박하는 자를 사랑하게 되며, 기도하는 그들을 위해 우리교회 공동체가 할 수 있는 일을 찾게 됩니다.

예수님께서는 “나는 너희에게 이르노니 너희 원수를 사랑하며 너희를 핍박하는 사람을 위하여 기도하라.”(마5:44). 하셨습니다. 사도 바울은 빌레몬에게 “오직 너는 나를 위하여 처소를 예비하라 너희 기도로 내가 너희에게 나아가게 하여 주시기를 바라노라.”(몬1:22).고 하여 기도 중에 간구와 함께 그를 위해 할 수 있는 일을 생각하며 준비케 됨을 말씀하고 있습니다.

기도드릴 때 우리교회 공동체는 손을 모으고 기도합니다. 이때 왼손의 손가락을 하나하나 짚어가며 기도드리는 것은 기도해야 할 대상을 잊지 않고 기도하는 하나의 방법이 됩니다.

- 엄지: 나의 몸 가까이 있습니다. 자신과 가족, 친척을 위해 기도합니다.

- 집게: 교회내의 지도자들(목사, 교직원, 장로, 집사, 교사)을 위해 기도합니다.

- 장지: 국가의 위정자들을 위해 기도합니다.

- 무명지: 사랑하는 이들(제자, 친구 등)을 위해 기도합니다.

- 새끼손가락: 연약한 이들(믿음이 약하거나 경제적으로 어려움을 당한 이들, 장애우 등)을 위해 기도합니다.

기도해야 할 필요가 있을 때마다 수첩에 기록하여 기도시간에 활용합니다. 응답이 있을 때 기록하면 그것이 많을수록 우리는 하나님의 역사하심을 기억하게 됩니다.

2. 목자 없이 방황하는 사람들에게 참된 목자이신 예수를 전하기 위하여 자신을 낮추어 복음을 전하게 하소서.

3. 새 공동체가 교회에 쉽게 적응할 수 있도록 담임목사님을 중 심으로 사랑하는 교회 공동체를 이루게 하소서.

4. 교회에서 연합하기 힘든 사람들과 하나 되어 기도하고 전도하 는 일에 참여하게 하소서.

5. 예수님처럼 다른 사람을 높이고, 칭찬하고, 미소 짓고, 섬김으 로 전도가 되게 하소서.
