토픽을 늦게 올리게 되어 대단히 죄송해요.^^;;;;;

토픽 질문 관련 영화 내용을 간략히 말씀드리자면

(관심 없으시면 굳이 안 읽으셔도 됩니다. 영화 스포일러 주의 부탁드려요.)

1997년 핵전쟁이 일어나게 됩니다.

이 핵전쟁으로 인해 인류는 멸망 직전까지 가게 되는데요.

인류를 파멸 직전으로 몰고 간 주범은 바로 'Skynet'이라 불리는 인공지능 컴퓨터에요.

미국이 스스로를 방어하기 위해 만든 이 방위시스템이 '스스로 생각할 수 있는 능력'을 갖게 되어

인간 전체를 적으로 간주하고 공격하기 시작하면서 인류는 최악의 상황을 맞이하게 됩니다.

하지만 인류에게도 마지막 희망이 있었으니...그것이 바로 'John Connor'라는 인류 저항군 지도자인데요.

그가 기계에 맞서 사람들을 보호하고 전쟁을 승리로 이끄는 영웅입니다.

기계들은 John Connor를 제거하기 위해 과거로 (신형)Terminator를 보내게 됩니다.

John Connor 역시 과거의 자신을 보호하기 위해 또 다른 (구형)Terminator를 과거로 보내는데요.

Terminator는 외모는 완벽하게 인간이지만 속은 기계로 되어있으며 임무(요인 암살 및 전쟁 수행 등)를 위해서는

수단과 방법을 가리지 않습니다. 어떠한 두려움도 느끼지 않고 고통도 없으며 맹목적으로 임무를 수행하죠.

한마디로 무시무시한 살인기계인데요.

John Connor는 자신을 보호하러 미래에서 온 (구형)Terminator에게 인간 생명의 소중함을 가르치면서

자신을 제거하러 온 (신형)Terminator에게 함께 맞서 싸우죠.

단순한 액션 영화가 아니라 매우 철학적이고 진지한 주제가 담긴 영화에요. 제가 감...히 조금 말씀드리자면,

최첨단 과학기술의 집약체인 핵무기를 개발함으로써 세상은 더 안전해졌는가,

(영화 속 심판의 날, Judgement day : 핵전쟁으로 인류가 멸망하는 날)

인간은 자신의 의지와 노력으로 자신의 운명과 세계의 역사를 바꿀 수 있는가,

(영화 속 Sarah Connor 의 대사 : "There is no fate but what we make.")

인간이 나날이 잔혹해지고 있는 이 시대에 오히려 인간이 인간성을 잃어버린 건 아닌가,

(영화 속 Sarah Connor 의 대사 : The luxury of hope ...was given to me by the Terminator.

 Because if a machine can learn the value of human life ...maybe we can too.)

등이 있는데요.

특히 감독이 인간성의 소중함에 대해 강조하는 장면은 마지막 장면에서 잘 나타나죠.

John Connor를 보호하는 임무 외에는 어느 것도 머리(chip) 속에 입력되어 있지 않은 Terminator라는 살인기계가

John Connor와 함께 시간을 보내면서 점점 더 "인간보다 더 인간적인" 기계가 되죠. 마지막 이별하는 순간에는...

"나도 이제 네가 왜 우는지 안다. 하지만 나는 결코 할 수 없는 일이지..." 라고 말하며 John Connor의 눈물을 닦아줍니다.

                                               ("I know now why you cry. But it's sth I can never do.")

적다보니 본론이 너무 길어졌지만, 바로 질문부터 읽으셔도 문제 없도록 만들었어요.

1. If you were President of the U.S. (which is the best country in the world)

   Would you promote science and technology first?

   or Would you prepare the system(rules and regulations, law, culture, etc to control science and technology) first?

ex) 아래 의견은 어디까지나 예시일 뿐 참고만 부탁드릴게요^^

 - To promote science and technology first : To maintain America's military global dominance(군사력에 의한 세계지배),

                                                              because military power is directly connected to America's national interest(국익).

                                                              Safety is less important than national interest.

 - To prepare the system first : To consider science safety rules and regulations fully is important.

                                             (Even if U.S. loses military global dominance.)

                                             Benefit on mankind(인류의 이익) is more important than U.S. national interest.

2. In the not too distant future(maybe...2050?) If robot technology was successfully deployed on a commercial scale,

   so robots are substituted for most jobs that we know now

   (secretary, bodyguard, teacher, soldier, police, housekeeper, company worker, production worker etc),

    does it mean that we made a better world? why or why not?

3. Could you believe in robots and their artificial intelligence(로봇의 인공지능)?

    If that robot's artificial intelligence were designed to follow your commands, could you believe it

    at any time, and anywhere?

    If you needed guard(경호원), what is your choice between human guard and robot guard(삼성제품ㅋㅋ)?

4. In 2050, If robot became (just like) human, they can think for themselves, act the way they want, feel the pain,

   have emotion, and they can even cry. Just one difference between human and robot is birth and death process.

   In that case do we have to give them 'Robot rights(...just like human rights)'?

   Do we have to treat them just like human? or Robot is just robot(They are just tools for human)?

5. What is your opinion about Artificial intelligence ? Do you think that robot has to be smarter than human?

ex) 아래 의견은 어디까지나 예시일 뿐 참고만 부탁드릴게요^^

- Yes : If robot's intelligence was smarter than human's, then it makes human's life better.

           and human's technology and system can fully control it.

- No : if their intelligence was smarter than human's, in that case it could be very, very dangerous.

         cause they can disobey human's order and destroy us all.

6. If you could buy any robot, what is your choice?

ex) secretary robot, celebrity robot, professor robot, bodyguard robot, boyfriend & girlfriend robot, singer robot, cook robot,

      or...terminator(it can kill anyone you choose)?
