Officers and men and women of the Daiman Unit,
I convey to Commander Ha Tae-jik and all the members of the Daiman Unit my warm greetings and compliments for your good efforts.
I receive regular reports on how well you are conducting your mission; although you seem to be in good health, I am always concerned about your well-being. So, I am sending the National Security Advisor in person to give you my best regards and have him look into your working conditions once more.
When I visited Irbil last year, I was not able to go to your unit, and I missed seeing you all very much. The only consolation was that I had an opportunity to fly in one of your transports at that time. Moving about in that aircraft, I personally felt how hard you, the Daiman Unit members, are working and how great your unit is.
So far, you have recorded more than 2,300 flying hours over foreign lands, transporting personnel and material for allied forces as well as Korean units. You have fulfilled your mission superbly. And I am very proud of you for that.
In the New Year, I know that you will complete your mighty mission impeccably as well, priding yourselves as representatives of the whole ROK Armed Forces. In this connection, always remember that all the Korean people support you and your efforts.
Once again, I pay tribute to a job well done and wish you good health and good luck in arms. Happy New Year! | |
