The Public Servant Who Saves the Field(Genesis 39:5)
From the time that he made him overseer in his house and over all that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had, in house and field.
Hymn #357 Encamped Along the Hills of Light(Unified Hymn 397)
God has called you as a spiritual ambassador who will run the errand of relaying the Word. First, you must be imprinted and rooted in God’s Word in order to relay the answer to people. Public servants must especially remember and enjoy their identities in the field. In doing so, what answers will follow?
1. Works of Healing Will Arise
The very first answer that comes is the healing of your personal spiritual condition. When wars broke out, God healed the age through David, a public servant. During the age of Babylon, God healed the incorrect view of faith. Later, God even healed the deep-rooted ideologies of Rome that went against the Gospel.
2. Shine the Light in the Field as a Spiritual Ambassador
Most people have hidden concerns and weaknesses that cannot be talked about. In addition, as they live in this world, they’re bound to face major and minor disasters. In this reality, public servants have to do more important works than just accomplishing their duties. They must enjoy their identities in the field as spiritual ambassadors. True enjoyment can even save the souls of unbelievers.
All people in this world have problems. More and more people are wandering because they don’t know the right path. Through the Word, not only did God reveal the fundamental problem and answers to life, He also revealed true identity and authority. Public servants must properly enjoy and relay these blessings in the field.
[Covenantal Prayer] Dear God, thank you for raising public servants who have the Gospel. Through them, please restore the Gospel that has been lost and save the dying souls. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
[Deep Questions]
Who Is the Light?
You have been called as a spiritual watchman and as an ambassador of the three offices of Christ. Therefore, even if you remain still, you’ll serve as the light that shines in the field.
Just as a small source of light shines brighter in a dark place, the influence of God’s children will be greater in fields full of darkness.
