The Spurs had the right to match — and would have considered had the offer been closer to $25 million — but instead opted to sign Brent Barry to a four-year deal worth about $20 million. "I had a good year down there, team-wise and friendship-wise with everybody, but business comes first," Turkoglu said. "I understand. I have to look out for myself, too." Turkoglu ranked eighth in the league in 3-point shooting last season at 41.9 percent. But he struggled against the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs. "I always feel bad about that," Turkoglu said. "I wish I was shooting bad in the regular season and saved some of it for the playoffs." Turkoglu had no such trouble Wednesday. He made 7 of 11 shots, including both his 3-pointers, for 16 points. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich hugged him after the game. "He was aggressive and he shot it well, and they were all good shots," Popovich said.
