No need to take your eyes off the road with a pair of these.

Car company MINI says its new augmented reality glasses

enhance the driving experience and make roads safer.
Dr. Joerg Preissinger, Project Leader at MINI Augmented Vision:
You don't have to look away to the speedometer or to central information display

 to know where to go or to know how fast you go or what's the current speed limit.
The glasses may look like something Elvis would have worn in his later years,

 but this is not Graceland, it’s the Shanghai Auto Show,

where MINI's concept of augmented vision glasses was unveiled this week.
"Please turn left in 300 feet."
Some car manufacturers already offer heads-up display systems

 which project a navigation system and other data on the windshield.

These glasses place it right in front of the driver's eyes, much like Google Glass.
"I see in my primary field of vision just a little bit above the steering wheel

 in front of the car, the actual speed of the car.
The glasses also use a number of cameras and sensors

to allow you to see through the car's body.

Making parallel parking a breeze.

The glasses may offer a glimpse of the future, but for now they're only a prototype,

and MINI is not saying when they'll be made available to the public.

이 안경은 마치 말년의 엘비스 프레슬리가 꼈었을 것 같은 안경과 비슷해 보이지만,

이곳은 그레이슬랜드(엘비스 프레슬리의 고향) 가 아니라 상하이 오토쇼입니다.
이 곳에서는 이번 주에 MINI의 컨셉 증강현실 안경이 공개되었습니다.
"300피트 앞에서 좌회전하세요."
일부 자동차 생산업체들은 이미 자동차 앞 유리에 네비게이션 시스템과 다른 정보들을

보여주는 경고형 디스플레이 시스템을 제공하고 있습니다.

하지만 이 안경은 마치 구글글 래스와 유사하게 정보를 운전자의 눈 바로 앞에 둡니다.
저는 기본적으로 바라보는 부분이 운전대 살짝 위로 자동차 바로 앞부분인데,

실제 자동차의 속도가 보이네요.
이 안경은 많은 카메라와 센서들을 사용하여 사용자가 자동차의 차체를 볼 수 있도록 해 줍니다.

그래서 수평주차는 식은 죽 먹기가 됩니다.
이 안경이 미래를 어렴풋이 보여주고 있는지는 모르지만, 현재로서는 시제품에 불과합니다.

 그리고 MINI에서는 이것이 언제 대중에게 판매될 것인지에 대해서는 밝히지 않고 있습니다.
