THE POTTER AND THE POT

Friends, today I want to share very special and important message. If you'll watch and listen carefully. I am quiet sure something good is going to happen to you. As you know, I born in a very poor family. I always prayed and asked God, why I born in poor family? God, why You didn't allow me to born in rich country and rich family. But there was no answer. But one day when I was reading the scripture from Jeremiah. God answered my all questions. Friends, if you are not satisfied with your status and circumstances. Pray and wait surely God will answer your all questions. At first let's confess that God is our creator and we all are His creation.

Genesis 1 : 31

God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning-the sixth day.

Friends everything what we see all around is belong to God, for God and from God.

Romans 11 : 36

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen

1. The Potter who chooses pot's clay.

   The very first thing what we have to understand is that clay never choose the potter but potter choose the clay to make a pot. We don't have to claim that why we are poor? or why we born in poor family, poor country and have limited source? We've to give thanks to God that we are chosen by God to be His children

Ephesians 1 : 4 ~ 6

4 For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight in love 5 He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will. 6 to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves.

   Friends, we are all sitting here not because we chose God but God chose us to be His children. Let's give thanks to God for calling us to be His children. We just glorify God in all circumstances. ----- Once there was a blind by birth brought to Jesus for healing. Disciples asked why, Rabbi he's blind? Is it his sin or his parents sin? But Jesus answered it's not because of sin but it is for the glorify of God.

John 9 : 3

"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.

We don't have grumble God in our weaknesses, poverty & sufferings. Just glorify God.

2. The Potter who prepare the clay.

   God created the Adam with His own hands. Rich or poor, king or slave, parents or children, believer or non-believer. Everyone is made by God. Let's glorify God for making us.

Job 34 : 19

who shows no partiality to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor,

                       for they are all the work of His hands?

Psalm  139 : 13

     For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mothers womb.

God chose us to be His children. So we've to wash ourselves with Jesus' blood.

And walk in His presence all days of our lives to have the crown of life. -- Amen

1st. Peter 1 : 14 ~ 15

14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

3. The Potter puts the clay on the wheel.

   It's this age, it's hard to see the potter and the wheel. But in old age potter put the clay on the wheel and turn the wheel with little stick. Sometime potter used his foot to turn the wheel. Potter hit the clay by force and formed what he want to make.

Jeremiah 18 : 3 ~ 4

3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

Dear friends, God is our potter. It's upto Him. What He want from us. If we will not fulfill His will. If we will disobey His command surely we'll be punished by Him.

Jeremiah 18 : 9 ~ 10

9 And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, 10 and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey Me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.

Friends, God created each one of us for a special purpose. Let's fulfill His will not our's.

Ephesians 4 : 11 ~ 12

11 It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.

4. The Potter draws on the pot.

   At the final stage potter draws flowers and some other designs on the pot and then put the pot into the furnace again for the more strengthening and beauty. Then pot become complete and come in the market. Then everyone see that and appreciate.

1st. Corinthians 12 : 7 ~ 11

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He gives them to each one, just as He determines.

Conclusion :-

  Friends, remember always we are all creations of God. God made us with His own hands. We don't have to claim that why, we're so poor? why, we face lack of sources? why, God bless others and not us? Why, God blessed my neighbour with lots of money? Why not me? God gave each person a special gift or special blessing.

We don't have to grumble against God. Just give thanks to God for what we are and have.

Being a pastor I don't have to claim. Why God blessed and gave healing power to pastor Paul Yonngi Cho and pastor Benny Hinn. Why not me? It's God's blessing and His will to whom He give.

2nd. Timothy 2 : 20 ~ 21

20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble 21 If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

토 기 장 이  와  토기

여러분, 오늘 저는 매우 특별하고 중요한 메시지를 나누고자 합니다. 잘 보고 듣는다면 여러분에게 어떤 좋은 일이 일어날 것을 확신합니다. 여러분이 아는 바와 같이 저는 매우 가난한 가정에서 태어났습니다. 저는 항상 기도하며 하나님께 물었습니다. 하나님, 왜 저는 가난한 가정에 태어났나요? 왜 저를 부유한 나라, 부유한 가정에 태어나게 하지 않으셨나요?

하지만 아무 응답도 없었습니다. 그런데 어느 날 제가 예레미야서를 읽고 있을 때 하나님은 저의 질문에 모두 응답하셨습니다. 만일 여러분의 모습과 상황에 만족하지 못한다면 기도하고 기다리십시오. 틀림없이 하나님은 여러분의 질문에 모두 응답하실 것입니다. 먼저 하나님이 우리의 창조주임과 우리는 그의 피조물임을 고백합시다.

창세기 1 : 31

하나님이 지으신 그 모든 것을 보시니 보시기에 심히 좋았더라 저녁이 되고 아침이 되니 이는 여섯째 날이니라.

우리가 주변에서 보는 모든 것들은 하나님께 속해 있고 하나님을 위하여, 하나님께로부터 온 것입니다.

로마서 11 : 36

이는 만물이 주에게서 나오고 주로 말미암고 주에게로 돌아감이라 그에게 영광이 세세에 있을지어다 아멘

1. 토기의 진흙을 선택한 토기장이.

우리가 이해해야 할 맨 첫 번째 일은 진흙이 토기장이를 선택한 것이 아니고 토기장이가 토기를 만들 진흙을 선택한다는 것입니다. 왜 가난한지, 왜 가난한 나라 자원이 제한된 나라에 태어났는지 불평하지 말아야 합니다. 하나님의 자녀로 선택된 것을 감사해야 합니다.

에베소서 1 : 4 ~ 6

곧 창세전에 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하사 우리로 사랑 안에서 그 앞에 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려고 그 기쁘신 뜻대로 우리를 예정하사 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 자기의 아들들이 되게 하셨으니 이는 그가 사랑하시는 자 안에서 우리에게 거저 주시는 바 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬송하게 하려는 것이라

우리가 하나님을 선택한 것이 아니고 하나님이 우리를 그의 자녀로 선택하셨기 때문에 우리는 모두 여기에 앉아 있습니다. 모든 상황에서 하나님께 영광 돌려야만 합니다. 태어나면서부터 소경인 사람이 치유받기위해 예수님께 왔습니다. 제자들은 그가 소경인 것이 그의 죄인지 부모의 죄인지 물었습니다. 예수님은 죄 때문이 아니고 하나님의 영광을 위해서라고 대답하셨습니다.

요한복음 9 : 3

예수께서 대답하시되 이 사람이나 그 부모의 죄로 인한 것이 아니라 그에게서 하나님이 하시는 일을 나타내고자 하심이라

연약함, 가난, 고통을 하나님께 불평하지 말고 하나님께 영광 돌리십시오.

2. 진흙을 준비한 토기장이.

하나님은 그의 손으로 아담을 창조하셨습니다. 부자나 가난한 자, 왕이나 노예, 부모나 자녀, 신자나 불신자 모두 하나님이 만드셨습니다. 우리를 만드신 하나님께 영광 돌립시다.

욥 34 : 19

고관을 외모로 대하지 아니하시며 가난한 자들 앞에서 부자의 낯을 세워주지 아니하시나니 이는 그들이 다 그의 손으로 지으신 바가 됨이라

시편 139 : 13

            주께서 내 내장을 지으시며 나의 모태에서 나를 만드셨나이다.

하나님은 우리를 그의 자녀로 선택하셨습니다. 따라서 우리를 예수님의 피로  씻어야 하고  생명의 면류관을 받기 위해 우리 삶의 모든 날을 하나님 앞에서 걸어가야 합니다. 아멘.

베드로전서 1 : 14 ~ 15

너희가 순종하는 자식처럼 전에 알지 못할 때에 따르던 너희 사욕을 본받지 말고 오직 너희를 부르신 거룩한 이처럼 너희도 모든 행실에 거룩한 자가 되라

3. 토기장이는 녹로에 진흙을 놓습니다.

요즘에는 토기장이와 (도자기 만드는)녹로를 보기 어렵지만 옛날에는 토기장이가 녹로에 진흙을 놓고 작은 막대기로 녹로를 돌립니다. 때로는 녹로를 돌리는데 발을 사용하기도 합니다. 토기장이는 힘으로 진흙을 쳐서 그가 만들고자 하는 모양을 만듭니다.

예레미야 18 : 3 ~ 4

내가 토기장이의 집으로 내려가서 본즉 그가 녹로로 일을 하는데 진흙으로 만든 그릇이 토기장이의 손에서 터지매 그가 그것으로 자기 의견에 좋은 대로 다른 그릇을 만들더라.

하나님은 우리의 토기장이입니다. 그가 우리로부터 원하는 것은 그에게 달려 있습니다.

우리가 그의 뜻을 행하지 않고  명령에 불순종한다면 틀림없이 벌을 받게 될 것입니다.

예레미야 18 : 9 ~ 10

내가 어느 민족이나 국가를 건설하거나 심으려 할 때에 만일 그들이 나 보기에 악한 것을 행하여 내 목소리를 청종하지 아니하면 내가 그에게 유익하게 하리라고 한 복에 대하여 뜻을 돌이키리라

하나님은 우리 각 사람을 특별한 목적으로 창조하셨습니다. 우리의 뜻이 아닌 하나님의 뜻을 행합시다.

에베소서 4 : 11 ~ 12

그가 어떤 사람은 사도로 어떤 사람은 선지자로 어떤 사람은 복음 전하는 자로 어떤 사람은 목사와 교사로 삼으셨으니 이는 성도를 온전하게 하여 봉사의 일을 하게 하며 그리스도의 몸을 세우려 하심이라

4. 토기장이는 토기에 그림을 그립니다.

마지막 단계에서 토기장이는 토기에 꽃과 어떤 다른 모양을 그린 다음 토기를 더욱 강하고 아름답게 하기 위해 가마에 넣습니다. 그런 다음 토기는 완벽하게 되어 시장에 나오게 되고 모든 사람이 보고 진가를 인정합니다.

고린도전서 12 : 7 ~ 11

각 사람에게 성령을 나타내심은 유익하게 하려 하심이라 어떤 사람에게는 성령으로 말미암아 지혜의 말씀을 어떤 사람에게는  같은 성령을 따라 지식의 말씀을 다른 사람에게는 같은 성령으로 믿음을 어떤 사람에게는 한 성령으로 병 고치는 은사를 어떤 사람에게는 능력 행함을 어떤 사람에게는 예언함을 어떤 사람에게는 영들 분별함을 다른 사람에게는 각종 방언 말함을 어떤 사람에게는 방언들 통역함을 주시나니 이 모든 일은 같은 한 성령이 행하사 그의 뜻대로 각 사람에게 나누어 주시는 것이니라.

결론 :-

우리는 모두 하나님의 창조물임을 항상 기억하십시오. 하나님은 우리를 그의 손으로 만드셨습니다. 왜 가난한지, 왜 자원이 부족한지, 왜 우리가 아닌 다른 사람을 축복하시는지, 왜 내가 아닌 나의 이웃을 많은 돈으로 축복하시는지 불평하지 말아야 합니다. 하나님은 각 사람에게 특별한 선물이나 특별한 복을 주셨습니다. 우리는 하나님께 불평을 하지 말아야 합니다. 나 된 것과 가진 것에 대해 하나님께 감사만 하십시오. 저는 목사로서 불평해서는 안됩니다. 왜 제가 아니고 조용기 목사님과 베니 힌 목사님에게 복을 주시고 치유의 능력을 주시냐고  말입니다. 누구에게 주시는지는 하나님의 축복이고 하나님의 뜻입니다.

디모데후서 2 : 20 ~ 21

큰 집에는 금 그릇과 은그릇뿐 아니라 나무 그릇과 질그릇도 있어 귀하게 쓰는 것도 있고 천하게 쓰는 것도 있나니 그러므로 누구든지 이런 것에서 자기를 깨끗하게 하면 귀히 쓰는 그릇이 되어 거룩하고 주인의 쓰심에 합당하며 모든 선한 일에 준비함이 되리라
