검붉은 하늘 아래, 기계의 포탑성포탑 캐슬이 땅을 우르르 굴리며 등장했다.

키가 백 미터는 되어 보이는 거대한 철덩이, 성곽처럼 쌓인 포탑들이 자립해 있고, 각 포탑마다 연속 발사 포문, 점사 크로스보우, 마법증폭기 같은 장치들이 달려 있었다. 마종 병사들이 그 위로 올라타고, 포탑이 일사불란하게 조준을 맞추자 전장 전체가 한순간에 불빛과 폭음으로 채워진다.

“포탑성이다… 이건 설계가 블루가 낮게 읊조리자, 첫 번째 포탄이 날아왔다.

강렬한 포격 쇳덩이 탄환이 레드의 옆구리를 강타한다. 그는 공중에서 휘청이며 거대한 체구가 땅에 내리꽂힌다. 피와 재가 튀고, 일순 간 전장의 리듬이 흔들린다.

하지만 레드는 그대로 굴하지 않았다. 그는 바닥에서 몸을 일으키며 손으로 포탑의 옆면을 낚아채려 했고, 그 순간 블랙과 블루가 동시에 반응했다.

블랙: 공중으로 솟아올라 애시드 브레스를 직격시킨다. 녹색의 산성 비가 포탑의 경첩과 조인트 부위를 덮자, 강철 표면에서 부식과 기포가 일어나며 이음새가 서서히 풀린다.

“금속은 단단하지만… 애시드 앞에선 종이와 같다.” 블랙의 목소리는 차가웠다.

블루: 그의 손에서 날카로운 냉기가 뻗어나가 포탑의 관성 기어를 순간적으로 얼려버린다. 회전하던 포탑의 축이 급정지하자, 내부의 포문이 작동을 멈추고 자동 장전 장치가 걸린다.

“움직임을 멈추면, 허점이 생긴다.”

레드는 그 틈을 놓치지 않았다. 그는 힘을 모아 포탑의 돌출된 장갑판을 잡아채더니 — 거대한 발톱과 근육으로 그 무거운 철판을 들어올려 그대로 허공으로 던져버렸다. 그 포탑 조각은 공중에서 빙글돌며 뒤편의 다른 포탑을 강타, 연쇄적으로 폭발을 일으켰다. 쇳덩어리들이 튕겨나가며 적들의 전열을 갈랐다.

포탑성은 곧 반격했다. 또 다른 포문이 불길한 빛을 모아 연속 발사하자, 번개처럼 쏟아지는 탄환이 블루의 어깨를 스치고 지나갔다. 블루는 일순 간 얼음 방패를 만들었지만, 그 충격파에 휘청거렸다. 기계실의 포탑 병사들이 반사적으로 탑에서 뛰어내려 전열을 재정비한다.

레드는 숨을 크게 들이마시고 대지에 발판을 박아 융해열을 폭발시키는 듯한 불기둥을 솟구치게 했다. 불과 바위가 융합된 충격으로 포탑의 외벽을 한 번 더 뒤흔들었고, 블랙의 애시드가 이미 갉아놓은 관절부는 급속히 부서졌다. 포탑 하나가 축으로부터 분리되어 기울며, 그 위에 타고 있던 마종들이 비명을 지른다.

그러나 포탑성의 시스템은 잔존 장치로 자동 전환을 시도했다. 연속 조준 포문들이 포화 상태로 재가동하려 했으나, 블루의 얼음창이 핵심 탄도관을 관통해 다시금 작동을 멈췄다. 순간적인 협동 — 애시드로 약화시키고, 얼음으로 동작을 멈추게 하며, 불과 바위로 파괴의 한방을 넣는 조합은 포탑성의 거대한 기계 몸통을 균열 내기에 충분했다.

마지막으로 레드는 포탑의 잔해를 움켜쥐고 반대편으로 힘껏 던졌다. 잔해는 다른 포탑과 충돌해 폭발을 일으켰고, 성체의 중심부에서 불꽃과 검은 연기가 솟구쳐 올랐다. 성곽 전체가 일그러지며 뒤로 물러났고, 마종 병사들은 제어를 잃은 포탑에서 뛰어내려 필사적으로 도망쳤다.

포탑성은 완전히 파괴되지는 않았지만, 그 심장부는 이미 심한 손상을 입었다. 포탑 일부가 폭발로 무너지고, 연속 사격 능력은 마비되었으며, 잔여 병력은 조직적으로 퇴각하기 시작했다.

세 드래곤은 큰 숨을 몰아쉬며 서로를 바라봤다. 레드는 옆구리에서 피를 닦아내며 웃음 섞인 포효를 내뱉는다.

“금속도 녹이고, 얼리고, 태우면 결국 쓰러진다.” 블랙은 피로 물든 입술을 비틀며 대답했다.

블루는 기계 잔해 속에서 작은 물방울을 털어내고 무겁게 말했다.

“여기까지가 방어선인 모양이군. 더 안쪽이 문제다

Under the dark red sky, the turrets of the machine appeared rolling on the ground.

Each turret was equipped with a series of firing guns, dotted crossbows, and magical amplifiers, and it was supported by huge iron pits and fortress-like turrets that appeared to be 100 meters tall. The entire battlefield was filled with light and binge in an instant as the Maison soldiers climbed on it and the turret aimed in unison.

"It's a turret castle... When the designer Blue recited it low, the first shell flew in.

An intense shelling metal bullet hits Red's side. He swings in the air and a huge frame hits the ground. Blood and ash splatter, and the rhythm of the battlefield shakes for a moment.

But Red didn't give in. He rose from the floor and tried to snatch the side of the turret with his hands, and at that moment Black and Blue reacted simultaneously.

Black: It rises into the air and strikes Acid Breath directly. As green acid rain covers the hinges and joints of the turrets, corrosion and air bubbles occur on the steel surface, and the joint slowly unravels.

"Metals are hard, but... It's like paper in front of Acid." Black's voice was cold.

Blue: A sharp chill extends from his hand and instantaneously freezes the turret's inertial gear. When the shaft of the rotating turret comes to a sudden stop, the inner gun door stops working and the automatic loading device is applied.

Red didn't miss the gap. He gathered his strength to grab the turret's protruding glove compartment and — with his enormous claws and muscles, he lifted the heavy iron plate and threw it straight into the air. The piece of turtleneck spun around in the air and hit another turtleneck at the back, causing a chain of explosions. Pieces of iron bounced off and split the enemy lines.

The turret soon fired back. Another gunshot gathered an ominous light and fired consecutively, and a lightning bolt passed through Blue's shoulders. Blue made an ice shield for an instant, but the shock wave shook him. The turret soldiers in the machine room reflexively jump from the tower and reorganize the battle line.

Red took a deep breath and placed a foothold on the ground, causing the column of fire to rise as if it were exploding the heat of melting. The outer wall of the turret was shaken once more by the shock of the fusion of fire and rocks, and the joint that had already been pierced by the black acid quickly broke down. One turret is separated from the axis and tilted, and the horse bells on it scream.

However, the turret system attempted to automatically switch to the remaining devices. The blue ice window penetrated the core ballistic tube and stopped working again, despite the continuous aiming gunfire attempting to restart it to saturation. The combination of weakening it with acid, stopping it with ice, and dispensing a blow of destruction with fire and rock was sufficient to crack the huge turret mechanical torso.

Finally, Red grabbed the remains of the turret and threw them hard to the other side. The wreckage collided with another turret, causing an explosion, and flames and black smoke rose from the center of the Eucharist. The entire castle was distorted and retreated, and the maison soldiers jumped from the out-of-control turret and desperately fled.

The turret was not completely destroyed, but its core was already severely damaged. Parts of the turret collapsed in the explosion, the ability to fire consecutively was paralyzed, and the remaining troops began to systematically retreat.

The three dragons looked at each other with big breaths. Red wipes blood from his side and lets out a laughable roar.

Blue shook off a small drop of water from the wreckage of the machine and spoke heavily.
