Current Campaign: Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief
Q: How does the program work? How are donors billed? Are the additional service charges associated with the program?
Donors can text the world “HAITI” to 45678 from any Rogers Wireless
or Bell Mobility phone to contribute $5.00 to The Salvation Army. 로져스 & 벨 셀폰으로 문자를 보내시면, 아이티 공화국으로 5불씩 기부가 가능하답니다. 생각 있으신 분들은 함께 해주시는 것도 좋을 것 같습니다. 다같이 동참합시다...!!
As of January 13th, 2010 all text donations will go directly to The Salvation Army Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief.
Standard text messaging rates will apply. Donors will see the $5.00 charge on their next mobile phone bill.
Depending on the donor’s phone plan, they may be charged a nominal fee to send or receive text messages (typically between 5 and 15 cents per text), but if the donor has an unlimited text messaging plan, he or she will not see any additional charges from their wireless carrier.
One-hundred percent of each donation will go to The Salvation Army to serve this vital need. The donation will appear as a charge on a donor’s carrier bill, and standard rates may apply. Service is available on most carriers. After texting ‘Haiti’ to 45678, we will receive a message asking you for approval of the donation. Simple reply back with ‘Yes’ and the donation will do through. Donors can unsubscribe at any time by replying to the message or texting the word ‘STOP’ to 45678.
Q: Will this program work with every cell phone carrier? How will the money donated be distributed within The Salvation Army?
This program will work with any Rogers Wireless or Bell Mobility phone.
Money raised through text messaging will go directly to The Salvation Army Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief.
Q: What are your goals/expectations for fundraising with the text message donation program?
We are always looking for innovative ways to fundraise and give our donors as many ways possible to give back.
We do not have any particular goals or expectations for this program, but we will be interested to see how donors respond.
The Salvation Army wants to make giving an easy and secure process, and we believe that our text message giving program accomplishes these goals.
Q: Has The Salvation Army taken other steps to engage a new generation of donors?
The Salvation Army is recognized as a technological innovator in the nonprofit space. We are Canada’s largest non-governmental direct provider of social services, so we make every effort to reach people in technologically savvy ways.
Online, The Salvation Army utilizes Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook and other social networking platforms to engage our donors.

Nice합니다!
