베트남 장학금 진행 상황입니다.

(원문 그대로 올립니다. 로터리 연락경로가 금산 로터리 클럽인 점이라는 참고로 말씀드립니다.) 다음달 말, 지급예정이고, 도움이 정말 절실한 한베아이들에게 주는, 사이공로터리클럽을 통한 첫 장학금인 만큼, 함께하는세상 대표 영섭지기님이 직접 전달 예정입니다. 여러분들의 소중한 마음이 모이고 모여서, 결실을 이루게 되었습니다. 모든분들께 진심으로 감사드리오며, 존경한다는 말씀을 올립니다. 한것이 1도 없는 저부터도, 참으로 뿌듯한 마음이 듭니다. 사이공 로터리 Nancy 회장님의 끝부분 말씀처럼 "한국베트남 함께하는세상"의 활동이, 한국과 베트남 모두의 지역사회에 긍정적 가치를 퍼뜨릴 수 있을 것으로 믿습니다. 감사합니다. 김호택 전 총재 귀하 우선 베트남에 있는 베트남-한국 학생들에 대해 관심 가져 주심에 감사드립니다. 저는 사이공 로타리클럽의 현 회장인 Nancy입니다. 전 회장인 Kieu Vuong Nguyen에게서 소개 받았고, 금산로타리클럽에서 이렇게 의미있는 뜻을 갖고 계신 것에 대해 감사드립니다. 교육은 우리 클럽이 추구하는 가장 우선 사업입니다. 최근에 우리 클럽은 호치민시와 주변 시군에 거주하는 300여 명의 아이들에게 독서실을 제공하고 외국어 공부방을 만들어주고 장학금을 제공하는 사업을 하고 있습니다. 최근 20여년 간 많은 다문화 베트남-한국 가족들이 만들어졌지만 많은 다문화 아이들, 특히 메콩 델타 지역의 아이들은 아직도 경제적으로 힘들고 부모 도움을 제대로 받지 못하는 아이들이 있고, 심지어 교육과 미래 기회를 위한 법적 문제를 겪는 친구들도 있답니다. 2025년에 우리 클럽은 베트남-한국 아이들에게 밝은 미래를 열어주고자 하는 모임을 만들었습니다. 장학제도는 이 사업의 첫 번째 시도이고, 베트남-한국 아이들이 받는 교육과 기본 권리를 갖기 위해 불이익을 해결하기 위함입니다. 이 사업을 통해 우리는 아이들이 공부를 계속하고 낙오되지 않게 할 재정적 지원을 제공하고, 교육과 기본 권리를 취득하는데 도움을 주고자 합니다. 이렇게 해서 그들이 사랑받고, 돌봄 받고 있으며, 베트남과 한국 모두에서 지역사회의 지원을 받고 있다는 것을 알리고자 합니다. 우선 도움 줄 아이들을 선정하는 기준 : (1) 가난한 베트남-한국 가정의 아이들 (2) 재정적 어려움으로 낙오될 위험에 있는 아이들 (3) 한부모 가정이나 조손 가정 아이들 (4) 출생신고가 되어 있지 않거나 의료보험이 안 되거나 학교 가기 위한 서류 취득에 문제 있는 아이들 금년 1월에 우리 클럽은 이화여대 동창회의 협조로 9천만 동(한국 돈 520만원) 예산을 들여 30명의 아이들에게 일인 당 3백만 동(한화 17만원)의 장학금을 지급했지요. 대상 학생은 투명하게 도움이 필요한 아이들로 선정했지요. 여러분의 제안을 우리는 환영합니다. 여러분이 편안한 시기에 금산로타리클럽(한국베트남 함께하는세상)과 호치민시가 이 사업에 대해 논의하기를 희망합니다. 그에 앞서 사이공 로타리클럽이 장학생 선발 기준을 만들고 실제로 도움이 필요한 적임자 학생을 선발하도록 정보를 제공해 드릴 수 있습니다. 초기에 400만원의 도움을 주시는 것에 대해 깊이 감사드립니다. 이것은 매우 의미있는 시작입니다. 우리의 지난 경험을 바탕으로 이 금액은 아마 20-25명의 학생들에게 일인 당 300만 동(한화17만원) 의 지원이 가능할 것으로 보입니다. 제가 말씀 드린 정보가 도움이 되기를 바라고, 금산로타리클럽의 선의와 도움에 대해 깊이 감사드립니다. 그리고 여러분의 파트너십이 한국과 베트남 모두의 지역사회에 긍정적 가치를 퍼뜨릴 수 있을 것으로 믿습니다. 감사합니다. Nancy Nguyen 현 회장 - Rotary Club Saigon. Dear PDG Ho Taek Kim, First of all, thank you very much for your email and for your concern for Vietnamese-Korean children in Vietnam . I'm Nancy Nguyen, Club President of Rotary Saigon. I am honored to be introduced by PP Kieu Vuong Nguyen and deeply appreciate the goodwill of Rotary Club of Geumsan toward this meaningful initiative. Education has always been one of Rotary Club Saigon's top priorities. Currently, RC Saigon supports more than 300 disadvantaged and vulnerable children in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces through reading rooms, foreign language classes, compassionate classrooms, and scholarship programs. Over the past two decades, many multicultural Vietnamese-Korean families have been formed. However, a number of Vietnamese-Korean children, especially in the Mekong Delta region, still face economic hardship, limited parental support, or challenges related to legal documentation, which affect their education and future opportunities. In 2025, Rotary Club Saigon launched the Bright Futures Initiative for Vietnamese-Korean Children.The scholarship program is the first component of this initiative, aiming to support disadvantaged Vietnamese-Korean children in accessing education and basic rights. Through this initiative, we hope to: · Provide financial support to help children continue their education and reduce the risk of dropping out; · Improve their access to education and basic services; · Let them know that they are loved, cared for, and supported by communities in both Vietnam and Korea. Priority beneficiaries include: · Vietnamese-Korean children from poor and near-poor families; · Children at risk of dropping out due to financial difficulties; · Children living with their mothers or elderly grandparents; Children facing difficulties related to birth certificates, health insurance, or other documents required for schooling. In January 2026, RC Saigon, in cooperation with the Alumni of Ewha Womans University (Korea), awarded scholarships totaling VND 90 million to 30 Vietnamese-Korean children (VND 3 million per child). The program was implemented with the participation of the children and their families, together with local representatives, to ensure transparency and proper beneficiary selection. Regarding your suggestions, we would be delighted to welcome the Rotary Club of Geumsan(함께하는세상) to Ho Chi Minh City and discuss the program in person when convenient. Prior to that, RC Saigon can conduct assessments, establish selection criteria, and recommend suitable students based on their actual needs and circumstances. We deeply appreciate the initial contribution of approximately KRW 4 million. This is a very meaningful beginning. Based on our previous experience, this amount could support approximately 20–25 students, with scholarships of around VND 3 million per child. I hope the above information will be helpful to you.
