참부모경 - 278. 조국통일

16 1987년 신년의 통일교회 표어는 ‘조국통일’입니다. 이 조국통일을 막연하게 생각해서는 안 됩니다. 그 표어가 세계적이고 천주적이라 할 때에는 문제가 큽니다. 이 길을 타개해가는 공식적 방법에 대해 우리는 이렇게 말합니다. 개인은 가정을 극복해야 되고 가정은 종족을, 종족은 민족을, 민족은 국가를, 국가는 세계를, 세계는 천주를 극복해야 된다는 것입니다. 통일교회가 가는 공식적 방법을 이와 같은 섭리적 과정을 중심삼고 제시하고 있습니다. 개인 완성과 가정 완성, 이것이 하나의 팀과 마찬가지입니다. 개인이 완성하려면 몸 마음의 싸움을 극복해야 됩니다. 내적인 기준에서 몸과 마음의 싸움을 극복해서 하나돼야 합니다. 그래야 외적 환경의 가정권에 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다. 몸과 마음의 싸움을 정비해야 됩니다. 그리고 가정에서 종족으로 나아가려면 물론 가정의 어려운 모든 것을 극복해야 됩니다. 그러지 않고는 종족권으로 못 나아가는 것입니다. 또 종족권 내에서 종족의 모든 것이 통일되지 않고는 민족권으로 못 나아갑니다. 그러면 ‘조국통일’이란 표어가 국가적 기준이냐, 세계적 기준이냐? 문제가 되는 내적인 미국 국민성과 나라를 수습하고 나서 세계로 넘어갈 수 있습니다. 나라의 모든 고통을 극복하고 나서야 세계의 환경을 소화할 수 있는 것입니다. 이렇게 가는 것이 공식노정입니다. 그것이 세계적인 것을 넘어서 천주적이라 할 때에는 이 지상의 모든 문제를 극복해야 됩니다. 지상의 지역문제로부터 모든 문제를 극복하고 나서야 천상세계의 문제를 환경적으로 소화해서 하나님의 사랑권 내에 들어갑니다.

17 1988년 표어를 1987년과 같이 ‘조국통일’로 정했습니다. 아직도 남북통일이 우리 앞에 남아 있기 때문입니다. 여러분이 있는 정성을 다해서 영계를 움직여 이 일을 수행하는 데에 있어서 남한의 전체적인 조직 편성을 강화함으로써 대처해 나가야 합니다. 우리가 준비함에 따라서 북한의 정치풍토가 달라지게 됩니다. 조국통일은 너나 할 것 없이, 북한도 남한도 어차피 이루지 않으면 안 될 숙명적인 과제로 남아 있습니다. 남북으로 갈라진 것은 대한민국 국민이 잘못해서가 아닙니다. 세계 강대국에 의해서 갈라졌습니다. 그러니 남북한의 통일은 대한민국 사람만 가지고는 안 됩니다. 강대국들이 협조할 수 있는 길을 열지 않고는 제아무리 북한이 남한을 해방해서 통일했다 하더라도 그 통일은 영속될 수 없고, 남한이 아무리 군사력을 강화해서 북한을 통일했다 하더라도 그것이 영속될 수 없습니다. 강대국을 엮어서 남북통일을 하는 길만이 장구한 통일 방안이 된다는 것입니다. 그것은 섭리사적 견지에서도 일치가 됩니다.

18 오늘날 한국 강토가 하나님이 조국광복의 기지가 된다는 놀라운 사실을 알게 될 때 이 한민족이 잠을 자겠습니까? 하지 말라고 해도 불철주야 생명을 투입할 것입니다. 재산이 문제가 아닙니다. 자기 전체와 남한 전체를 투입해서라도 이것을 성사시키지 않으면 안 된다는 의무감을 갖는 대한민국이 될 것임에 틀림없습니다. 오늘날 부모님이 조국통일을 바라는 것은 망할 수밖에 없는 국가 배경을 중심삼은 것이 아닙니다. 역사 이래 없었던 초국가적인 조국광복을 위한 도상에서 모든 것을 소화할 수 있는 사상적 체계를 갖추어 논리적인 교육을 통해 사회를 변화시킬 수 있고 흡수 소화할 수 있는 주체사상을 지닌 사람을 만들어서 가려고 하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 공산주의가 문제가 아니고 민주주의가 문제가 아닙니다. 그래서 공산주의가 나를 무서워하고 민주주의가 나를 무서워하는 것입니다. 통째로 먹혀 버린다고 생각하는 것입니다. 1988년 정초에 세운 표어가 ‘조국통일’인데, 그 조국은 본연의 ‘조국통일’인데, 그 조국은 본연의 주체인 하나님이 바라는 조국입니다. 이 온 우주의 나라는 하나입니다. 이 세계는 하나님의 백성이 살 수 있는 터전입니다. 영계는 우리가 영원히 살 수 있는 하나의 이상적 주택이요 나라입니다.

16 一九八七年、新年の統一教会の標語は「祖国統一」です。この祖国統一を漠然と考えてはいけません。その標語が世界的で天宙的であるというときには、問題が大きいのです。この道を打開していく公式的方法について、私たちはこのように言います。「個人は家庭を克服しなければならず、家庭は氏族を、氏族は民族を、民族は国家を、国家は世界を、世界は天宙を克服しなければならない」。統一教会が歩む公式的方法を、このような摂理的過程を中心として提示しているのです。個人完成と家庭完成、これは一つのチームと同じです。
 
個人が完成しようとすれば、体と心の争いを克服しなければなりません。内的な基準で体と心の争いを克服し、一つにならなければなりません。そのようにしてこそ、外的環境の家庭圏に影響を及ぼすことができます。体と心の争いを整備しなければなりません。そして、家庭から氏族に進んでいこうとすれば、もちろん家庭のあらゆる困難なことを克服しなければなりません。そうでなければ、氏族圏に進むことができないのです。また、氏族圏内で氏族のすべてが統一されなければ、民族圏に進めません。
 
それでは、「祖国統一」という標語は国家的基準でしょうか、世界的基準でしょうか。問題となる内的なアメリカの国民性と国を収拾してから、世界に越えていくことができます。国のすべての苦痛を克服してこそ、世界の環境を消化できるのです。このように行くのが公式路程です。それが世界的なものを越えて天宙的だという時には、この地上のあらゆる問題を克服しなければなりません。地上の地域問題からあらゆる問題を克服してこそ、天上世界の問題を環境的に消化して、神様の愛の圏内に入っていくのです。
 
17 一九八八年の標語を、一九八七年と同じく「祖国統一」と定めました。いまだに南北統一が私たちの前に残っているからです。皆さんが精誠の限りを尽くして霊界を動かし、このことを遂行するとき、韓国の全体的な組織編成を強化することにより、対処していかなければなりません。私たちが準備することによって、北朝鮮の政治風土が変わるようになります。祖国統一は、誰彼なしに、北朝鮮も韓国も、いずれ成し遂げなければならない宿命的課題として残っています。
 
南北に分かれたのは、大韓民国の国民が誤ったからではありません。世界の強大国によって分かれたのです。ですから、韓半島の統一は大韓民国の人だけではできません。強大国が協助できる道を開かなければ、いくら北朝鮮が韓国を解放して統一したとしても、その統一は永続することはできず、いくら韓国が軍事力を強化して北朝鮮を統一したとしても、それが永続することはできません。
 
強大国をまとめて南北統一をする道だけが、悠久なる統一方案になるというのです。それは、摂理史的見地とも一致するのです。
 
18 今日、韓国の領土が神様の祖国光復の基地になるという驚くべき事実を知れば、この韓民族が眠れるでしょうか。「してはいけない」と言っても、昼夜を分かたず生命を投入するでしょう。財産が問題ではありません。自らの全体と韓国全体を投入してでも、これを成就しなければならないという義務感をもつ大韓民国となるに違いありません。
 
今日、父母様が祖国統一を願うのは、滅びるしかない国家背景を中心としたものではありません。これまでの歴史になかった超国家的な祖国光復、神様が探し出そうとする祖国光復のための途上で、すべてのものを消化できる思想的体系を備え、論理的な教育を通して社会を変化させることができ、吸収、消化できる主体（的な）思想をもった人を育てていこうと思うのです。ですから、共産主義が問題ではなく、民主主義が問題ではありません。それで、共産主義が私を恐れ、民主主義が私を恐れるのです。丸ごと食べられてしまうと考えるのです。
 
一九八八年の年始めに立てた標語は「祖国統一」ですが、その祖国は、本然の主体である神様が願う祖国です。この全宇宙の国は一つです。この世界は神様の民が暮らせる基盤です。霊界は、私たちが永遠に暮らせる一つの理想的住宅であり、国なのです。

16 The Unification Church motto for 1987 is "Unification of the fatherland." You should not think vaguely about the unification of the fatherland. If we were to say that this is a world-level or cosmic-level motto, that would be a big problem. The formula to follow this path can be expressed like this: the individual must win over the family, the family must win over the tribe, the tribe the people, the people the nation, the nation the world and the world the cosmos. I have been demonstrating this formula in the providential course of the Unification Church.

The perfection of the individual and the perfection of the family go hand in hand. For an individual to attain perfection, he or she must overcome the struggle between mind and body. From an internal perspective, the mind and body must overcome their struggle and create unity. Only then will the individual be able to influence positively the external realm of the family. This is why we have to resolve the struggle between mind and body before we can advance to the family level. Likewise, we have to resolve all the difficulties within the family before we can advance to the tribal level. Again, unless we resolve all the issues and make unity within the tribe, we cannot advance to the level of a people.

With this in mind, does the motto for 1987, "Unification of the fatherland," refer to the national level or the world level? If we can deal with the inner aspects of America's national character that have become a problem, then we can advance to the world level. When we step forward and resolve all the suffering of the nation, we will then be able to digest the situations of the world. This is what it means to follow the formula course.

Likewise, when we say we are going beyond the worldwide level to the cosmic level, it means we must first resolve all the problems on earth. Once we have overcome all the problems of the regions on earth, then we can digest all the problems in the spirit world and finally enter the realm of God's love. (161-093, 1987/01/04)
 
17 I gave the same motto for 1988 as I did for 1987, "Unification of the fatherland." If you ask why, it is because the unification of North and South Korea still remains before us. While investing all of your utmost sincerity to carry out this work and move the spirit world, we must also work on strengthening the social fabric of South Korea. In accordance with our preparation, the political climate of North Korea will change. The reunification of the fatherland is a task that both North Korea and South Korea are destined to fulfill. It will involve the combined efforts of us all.

The division of Korea into North and South was not the fault of the Korean people. It came about because of the world's major powers. Therefore, the reunification of Korea cannot be done through the efforts of the Republic of Korea alone or of North Korea alone. Unless we open a way for the major powers to cooperate in the reunification, even if North Korea brings unification by "liberating" South Korea, that unification cannot last, however much North Korea claims that South Korea is liberated. Likewise, even if South Korea unifies North Korea by the strength of its military power, that unification also will not last. I tell you, the only path that can lead to permanent unification is when we unify North and South after weaving in the involvement of the great powers. This viewpoint conforms even with that of providential history. (171-144, 1988/01/01)
 
18 When today's Koreans understand the astonishing fact that the land of Korea will become the base for restoring the fatherland of God, will they remain asleep? They will invest their lives day and night even if you tell them not to. Financing North-South unification is not a problem. There is no doubt that when the people of South Korea bear such a sense of duty to accomplish reunification, it will lead them to invest everything they have and everything that South Korea has.

My desire for the unification of the fatherland is not because I believe that the nation will go to ruin without it. It is because this is what God is seeking. It is because with the liberation of the fatherland God wants to build a nation that transcends the nations, one such as has never existed in human history. This is why I am trying to achieve reunification by equipping you with a teaching that can digest everything, by setting up a system of education that can transform society, and by raising people with the "subject-partner principle" to take ownership of every situation.

For this reason, communism should not be a problem, and neither should democracy. This is the reason communism and democracy both fear me. They think I may completely devour them. Now at the start of 1988 I set up the motto "Unification of the fatherland." The fatherland I am talking about is the fatherland that God, the original subject partner, wants to see. The entire universe should be one nation. This world should be the foundation upon which all people of God can live together. The spirit world should be one ideal house and nation in which we all can live together forever. (172-042, 1988/01/03)
