Shalom. Today is Sunday, and I will be delivering a sermon during the 11:00 a.m. service at Gunsan Ebhadda Church. I have chosen "The Kingdom of God" as the title, with Romans 14:17 as the scripture passage. I have also prepared copies of a piece I previously wrote—titled "Do Not Bear False Witness Against Your Neighbor"—and placed them into envelopes. It is a substantial text, spanning about 86 pages. I intend to distribute these envelopes, which also contain a summary of today’s sermon, to each attendee, using the material as a guide while I share the Word.
For the past nine years, whenever I have set out to write on a particular subject, God has enabled me to sit at my desk, open my computer, and type continuously—as if words were gushing forth like a spring—until the piece was complete. In this manner, I have produced 1,300 long form articles, which are now being read by people in over 130 countries, as I work toward a goal of reaching one million readers. As I begin this new chapter of preaching, I hope for a strong start and that word will spread, allowing me to continue preaching without pause. Although I spent 40 years listening to the sermons of others and have been an ordained pastor for 15 years, I have only preached two or three times in my life—and even then, I did not do so effectively. My first attempt was about 16 years ago at Geoam Church in Geoyeo-dong, Seoul—back when my son was attending daycare—and it was a disaster. The second time was at a workplace fellowship, where I recall doing little more than shouting. On another occasion, I had the opportunity to preach before a group of fellow pastors, but because they were inattentive and indifferent, the sermon ended up being half-hearted and poorly delivered.
Whether I am out evangelizing—meeting people in any situation or at any time—the Holy Spirit grants me the wisdom to share the Gospel. In contrast, preaching to a congregation—where people sit and listen to the message I deliver—is far easier; once a sermon is prepared, it is straightforward to share. Although I am a pastor, I have not always felt comfortable or familiar with the act of preaching, so I intend to learn the craft and prepare my sermons with greater diligence.
The Kingdom of God is a complex subject, difficult to cover in a single sitting. Nevertheless, I plan to draw from the materials I have compiled and the writings I have produced—covering topics such as the dolmens found in the Jeonnam region, the foundational framework of the Kingdom of God, a critique of the ultimate form of injustice in this world (as seen in the electoral process), and finally, a method for learning English through the Bible—a tool that can help fill and revitalize the church, contributing to the expansion and unity of God’s Kingdom. It is my prayer and expectation that, through my preaching, Ebhatha Church will be filled to overflowing.
Jesus has always been with me—both when I am out evangelizing and when I am writing these messages. He has guided me in what I hear, feel, and understand. Whenever I share the Gospel, I always keep in mind: "What is Jesus asking of me right now?" There have been times when He instructed me to refrain from speaking to certain individuals. At other times, when I was in a public park filled with people, He would direct me where to go—or, conversely, tell me to simply sit quietly and wait before sharing the message. Furthermore, when I have prayed for those who are ill, He has healed many—year after year—to such an extent that anyone who witnesses these prayers would come to believe that God truly heals. Even when I sit down to write, He places a specific biblical theme upon my heart, guiding me so that the text comes together seamlessly and immediately. Moreover, He granted me, moment by moment, a true understanding of the Scriptures, allowing me to share in the joy that comes from it. All of this material can be found on my Daum Cafe and Naver Blog, both titled "Romans for 50 Million People." Many of these posts have been read by tens of thousands of individuals; consequently, there are now people all over the world who know me through my writing.
But I have strayed too far into my own story. Since I must deliver a sermon, let me return to the subject of the Kingdom of God. There is very little material available on this topic in Korean on YouTube, so I have been translating English resources and posting them online. A long time ago, I read a book on the Kingdom of God—co-authored by Dr. Seyoon Kim and two other pastors who were his alumni from Seoul National University—but I struggled to fully grasp it. Driven by a deep interest in the concept of justice, I even considered going to a university in the United States to study it further. Despite holding two graduate degrees, I ended up living for a long time at the very bottom of the social ladder. Yet, throughout this time, I continued to share the Gospel with everyone I met, studied and organized the Scriptures, and disseminated these insights online—all while maintaining a steady job and raising a family. In essence, I lived the same life as any other layperson, only I did so from the very bottom of society. I often suggest that retired pastors should spend time working in roles like security or cleaning; it would allow them to personally experience how the very congregants they once served—people who work in the secular world—provided for their daily needs, such as food and clothing.
I am sharing a video that offers insight into a prominent theologian’s perspective on the "Kingdom of God." Although the video is four years old, I realized that if the connection between election fraud and Lee Jae-myung were to be exposed, this theologian’s entire life’s work would effectively vanish into thin air. If this is the level of understanding held by a world-renowned theologian, from whom, then, are we to learn about the Kingdom of God? It is a truly difficult subject.
The Kingdom of God is a realm where God’s rule extends. Is there any place in the entire universe that lies beyond the reach of God the Father—the Creator of all things? Is there any human, animal, or created being that can escape the touch of the God who knows the hearts of all people and even the number of hairs on our heads? In terms of sovereign authority, the entire universe and the whole earth fall under His providence; everything—every person and every corner of the globe—rests in God’s hands. Furthermore, since it is Jesus who possesses all authority in heaven and on earth, who reigns over all, and who will ultimately judge every human being who has ever lived on this planet, one could rightly call this the "Kingdom of Jesus." Nevertheless, because Jesus Himself referred to it as the "Kingdom of the Father," the "Kingdom of Heaven," or the "Kingdom of God," we follow His lead and use those same terms. The standard for this judgment is the Law—the most critical factor determining the destiny of every individual, group, nation, and people on earth. Obedience brings blessings, while disobedience brings curses. Even many who believe in Jesus fail to grasp this principle; they remain trapped within a thicket of doctrines—unable to breathe, deprived of light, and incapable of bearing fruit.
The reason I mentioned *goindol* (dolmens) is that they are deeply connected to this Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God exists within the heart, and wherever our Lord Jesus is present, there, too, is the Kingdom of God. In the presence of the One who rules the universe, created all things, and governs the destinies of nations as well as the life, death, fortunes, and misfortunes of humanity, no forces of darkness can find a foothold; all is filled with light. The only reason darkness could ever appear is that Jesus, who came as a human being, lived within the limitations of a human body—adopting the lifestyle of humanity to save mankind—and, in an act of humility beyond all imagination, chose to tolerate the very creatures who acted insolently toward Him.
The Law, meanwhile, was introduced to this world about 4,000 years ago through the nation of Israel. While the Pentateuch (the five books of Moses) dates back approximately 3,500 years, I refer to a 4,000-year timeline because the observance of such legal standards began as early as the time of Abraham, when God Himself spoke directly to them regarding these laws. Yet, there exists a vast world beyond those who received the Law—a world filled with people created by God. In the Book of Romans, God reveals how He governs these people, how He bestows blessings or curses upon them, and how He will ultimately judge them. He has inscribed a conscience within every human being; if a person follows their conscience faithfully, it is equivalent to upholding the entire Law, thereby granting them entry into the Kingdom of Heaven. This group of people is far larger than those who received the Law, and they occupy a much greater portion of the globe. Our own people are descendants of Shem, who scattered across the world following the Flood; they traveled by sea, passing through India and Southeast Asia, and—by way of the Philippines—arrived on the islands and mainland of what is now Jeollanam-do in Korea. For any believer who follows Jesus, trusts in the Bible, and attends church, it is essential to embrace these biblical truths in their entirety. If, following the Flood, only Noah and his family—eight people in total—survived, then there would have been no humans or animals in the Korean Peninsula, China, or Japan. One must accept this premise to truly perceive the world we live in and grasp the truth. I am speaking here about a "Kingdom of God" governed not by the Law, but by the "law of conscience"—a perspective I believe I am the first to articulate.
A small group—much like the eight individuals who began anew near Eden—established themselves on the Korean Peninsula. Can you imagine the Korean Peninsula 3,000 years ago, a place akin to the Garden of Eden? These people, guided by the law of conscience, faithfully obeyed God’s command: "Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, and subdue every living creature on land and in the sea." For about 1,000 years, they lived in absolute peace, free from any concerns—no fear of invasions from China or Japan, and no worries regarding land, housing, or sustenance. And, in fact, they lived this way for a millennium. By the time Jesus arrived, the population had grown into the millions, spreading across the entire Korean Peninsula. Just consider this: it was a society composed entirely of people related to one another—much like our own kin today. There was no ruling class. For 3,000 years, people lived in small, village-based communities—much like the Korea we witnessed 60 years ago. Although this "paradise" was later overshadowed by the emergence of a ruling class armed with iron weapons—leading to 2,000 years of servitude and slavery—the peace that once existed left such a deep and profound imprint on the hearts of the Korean people that it remains the most powerful and enduring sense of peace found anywhere in the world; even the vast Pacific Ocean cannot compare to the depth of the peace that resides within our nation. Why do I bring this up? Why did God lead me to the Jeolla-do region and guide me to see the dolmens in Hwasun and Goheung? It was as if He were saying, "Look! Behold the wondrous peace—a peace akin to an egalitarian kingdom of heaven—that I have bestowed!" He commanded me to share this. God allowed me to visit at least ten different churches before introducing me to this "Ephphatha Church." Could it be that this church holds some remarkable secret? The only precise definition of the Kingdom of God is found in Romans 14:17. In the Book of Romans, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is presented through the doctrines in chapters 1–8, the discussion regarding the nation of Israel in chapters 9–11, and guidance on how believers—as citizens of the Kingdom of God—ought to live; then, in chapter 14, the nature of the Kingdom of God is proclaimed so that all people may come to know it.
Romans 14:17: "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit."
God intended for peace—one of the most essential characteristics of His Kingdom—to be realized through the Law for 4,000 years via the nation of Israel, and subsequently, for the 2,000 years following the coming of Jesus, through the community of believers. As the Book of Romans clearly elucidates, one stream of this peace is established through the Law, while another stream is realized through the law of conscience—a path in which we, here on the Korean Peninsula, serve as the world’s most exemplary nation. The government and local organizations, operating under the framework of evolutionary theory, view these great ancestors of our people—our precious forebears—as mere "primitive humans" or descendants of those who lived in the Stone Age. Yet, in reality, our ancestors were fully-formed human beings, created in the image of God. It is deeply concerning that the government and local authorities would degrade them to the level of animals. Before getting caught up in the excitement of political issues—such as the affairs of the Democratic Party—the people of the Jeolla region should feel a sense of righteous indignation and work to correct this false narrative. Furthermore, this remarkable heritage surpasses even the significance of the pyramids. Unlike the pyramids—monuments built by despotic rulers who enslaved others, causing God grief and anger—this legacy is incomparably greater and imbued with God’s blessings. Why is this so? Because it was left behind by people who lived in true peace, guided by the "law of conscience." It was a place defined by righteousness, peace, and joy—a society made possible by the law of conscience, by the blessings of God, and by a natural environment that was nothing short of a paradise on earth. It was possible because the population was small, allowing for ample space; it was possible because simple, kind-hearted people—much like Abraham—lived together as an extended family, developing the land in a gentle, eco-friendly manner. Everything was made possible through God’s guidance and blessing. Because these people existed, I was able to experience that same peace in my hometown of Namhae sixty years ago—a memory I will carry with me until the day I die. I witnessed firsthand the warmth of that village, the abundance of the sea, the guileless nature of its people, the sense of order, and a profound reverence for the heavens. And this is a reality that every single Korean—without exception—enjoyed fifty to sixty years ago. With that vivid memory in mind, I look at the Bible and become convinced that the Kingdom of Heaven must surely be like that. Yet, when I observe the church today, I find it truly difficult to comprehend; it is clear to me that this—whatever it may be—is certainly not the Kingdom of Heaven. I am confident that every Korean Christian over the age of 60 would deeply resonate with this sentiment.
As a pastor who dreams of the Kingdom of God—a place that feels like a true homeland—I have learned from God, through the Scriptures, the very Word required to establish that Kingdom. I am convinced that this Word is more than sufficient to bring that Kingdom into reality here on this earth. I have come to see this Kingdom clearly and precisely through the Law (Torah) found in the Bible. It was when I had reached the very bottom of the world, with all hope extinguished, that God said to me, "My servant, look at the Law," and directed my attention to the Pentateuch—the five books of Moses. Previously, I had prepared to study at Harvard to learn about "justice" as defined by Michael Sandel. His books sold over two million copies in Korea, making him a wealthy man; he visited Korea multiple times, appeared on public broadcasting, and lectured at institutions like Seoul National University. I had intended to go to Harvard specifically to learn about justice from him. However, I came to realize that his concept of justice is merely a philosophical construct—an abstract, academic exercise—that contributes not even one percent toward establishing the Kingdom of God on earth. This realization dawned on me only after I had grasped the true greatness of God’s Law.
I am not an ordinary layperson; I spent my university and graduate school years preparing for the higher civil service examination. During my preparation for the second round of the exam, I would consistently rank in the top three among the 200 candidates who had passed the first round—a group that gathered at an academy near Seoul National University to take mock exams administered by professors who served as actual exam question writers. Everyone I studied with was certain I would pass. Furthermore, after I took the second round, about 50 women—daughters of wealthy business magnates and high-ranking government officials—lined up, hoping to be introduced to me for marriage. I mention this only to establish that I have a solid background in various legal fields, including constitutional law, administrative law, and international law. Having studied the Law (of God) with such a background—examining it carefully and with genuine dedication—I have come to recognize it as the most fair and just legal system in human history, across the entire globe, and truly in accordance with the Word of God. This stands to reason: since love, justice, and faithfulness are core attributes of our God, would it not be utterly strange if the Law—a creation of the One who possesses these very attributes—did not reflect His own heart? Just as the people of Israel praised, studied, disseminated, exalted, loved, and sought to learn this Law, I too praise, disseminate, boast of, exalt, love, and strive to learn it.
Abraham lived a life of faith for a century, guided by this Law. King David established a nation based upon it. The early church was a society that reached a state of perfection by following this Law. Moreover, the 1,000-year era of peace enjoyed by the "dolmen people" on the Korean Peninsula—a society characterized by order and tranquility—bore a striking resemblance to this Law. How precious, then, are the Jeolla-do region and these ancient dolmens? And how proud should we be, as the descendants of those people? All these mysteries are unveiled through the Bible, the merit of the precious blood of our Lord Jesus, and the indwelling, presence, and inspiration of the Holy Spirit; therefore, all glory belongs to the Triune God. Hallelujah!!
I present to you the tangible traces of our great ancestors. This serves as irrefutable evidence—one that has remained intact for 3,000 years, impossible for anyone to erase or alter—that stands as a testament to the true history of Korea. It settles the matter once and for all. I urge you to use this evidence to completely discard the false, evolutionary narrative that our ancestors migrated from the north, and instead, bear witness to the history of our great ancestors. This is the calling of every believer—and indeed, the calling of all the people of the Jeolla province. Do not be swayed by political currents; stand firm and fulfill your mission as descendants of the greatest people on earth. This is the calling of all who believe.
We have now caught a glimpse of the Kingdom of God—a kingdom of peace. Yet, such peace can only take root where there is order. Consider the Korean Peninsula in ancient times: a blessed land inhabited by simple, kind-hearted people who lived together for a thousand years in complete harmony, lacking nothing. Peace prevailed because all their needs were met. However, once outsiders arrived—from the north or across the West Sea—bringing with them iron technology, gold, horses, monarchical systems, and a written script, along with a drive for power, that peace became difficult to maintain. In such a context, the implementation of law becomes essential—and it is through us, as believers, that this must come to pass. The entire Bible is concerned with the establishment of the Kingdom of God, brought about through the implementation of this law; this is especially true of the Book of Romans.
Distribution Map of Korean Dolmens
In the Kingdom of God, everything follows a sequence, exists in harmony, and overflows with vitality—all because order prevails there. As a God of order, He created the universe as a perfectly ordered system—a *cosmos*. He likewise created the Earth according to a specific sequence. In the first and second chapters of Genesis, the process of creation is described in an orderly, sequential manner, ensuring that all created beings can understand it; there is no room for excuses. This is because the Bible records these events, and anyone who observes the natural world can perceive the handiwork of God. Yet, while the natural world and the universe possess this order, human beings—created in the image of God—often choose to live according to their own desires rather than following this divine order. Those with strength seek power, becoming dictators who enslave others, invade nations, and plunder; those with sharp intellects use their minds to manipulate and control the vulnerable; men treat women as servants, and women, given the chance, would do the same to men. This leads to the height of disorder, ultimately resulting in total destruction by the Flood. Amidst this, only Noah and his family were recognized for their righteousness and survived, becoming the ancestors of all subsequent nations and tribes—the progenitors of the entire human race, which is now approaching a population of nine billion.
As humanity spread across the Earth, God chose Abraham, setting him as an example of faith, love, and righteousness for all his spiritual descendants. His descendants later entered Egypt, where they endured 430 years of slavery. God then delivered them through Moses and established a covenant with them, providing the Law—a set of communal statutes for them to follow. This took place approximately 3,500 years ago. If Israel were to live according to this Law, they would be blessed and become a "nation of priests"—a testament that would lead all the peoples of the earth to know, believe in, and love God. Living by this Law ensures that everyone enjoys equality, possessing their own homes, land, livelihoods, and families; it allows for three generations to live together in harmony, surrounded by happy neighbors. By establishing national boundaries, the Law prevents stronger nations from encroaching upon weaker ones. Furthermore, it declares that homes and land are not private property, but rather belong to God the Creator—a provision that eliminates the possibility of anyone being left without a home or land, ensuring that no one is ever left without hope. South Korea has strayed far from these principles, descending into a "Hell Joseon" (a dystopian, hopeless society). Pastors who encourage this state of affairs have contributed significantly to the creation of this "hell," scoring a zero when it comes to establishing the Kingdom of God on this earth.
When I examine this Law—as I have come to understand it—I am filled with profound wonder. Its very existence has given me the courage and conviction to establish justice in this world. Looking back, the forty years of extreme poverty and the harsh mistreatment I endured at the very bottom of society served to turn my attention toward this magnificent Law. Thus, all those past days have become a source of blessing, happiness, freedom, and peace—a transformation possible only because I was with the Lord. Hallelujah!
Yet, because many interpret the Book of Romans solely through the lens of "justification by faith alone"—and attempt to interpret the entire Bible through this single perspective—the Gospel of the Kingdom of God has effectively vanished. Instead, believers have become consumed by the struggle for survival, fixating on acquiring larger apartments—perhaps in the affluent Gangnam district—or investing in land for profit. In doing so, they are effectively building a "hell" here on earth. Who can rectify this? We must set it right—through the Law, through the Holy Spirit, and through faith. The Book of Romans is structured around a sequence of doctrines, beginning in chapter 1, verse 17. We must unpack this chain of doctrine—with the essential help of the Holy Spirit. I have created a chart to make this easy for everyone to grasp. By viewing the accounts of Abraham in Genesis 12 through 26 as a reflection of his 100-year journey of faith, we gain the proper perspective to understand Romans 1:17. This reveals that being justified by faith—a faith that remains steadfast from beginning to end—is exemplified by Abraham’s consistent, century-long walk of faith. Furthermore, we must clearly understand that those who live a life worthy of this faith—now centered on belief in Jesus—are indeed justified. This serves as the foundation for understanding the Book of Romans. Building upon this, we can examine how we are to live out our faith day by day, as described in Romans 7:6: not by following our own whims or the rigid letter of the law, but by being led by the Holy Spirit. This is truly crucial to the Book of Romans, as it is fundamental to establishing the Kingdom of God here on earth. To establish His Kingdom, God sent His Son to deliver us from sin, death, and the constraints of the law. All that is required of us is to believe, repent, and be baptized in His name. Our Lord accomplished everything necessary through the shedding of His blood and His death. Now, the Holy Spirit comes as a gift to such believers, bringing about our rebirth. Our part is simply to repent, believe, and receive baptism. God does everything; the Holy Spirit brings about the fulfillment of the Law, in accordance with Jesus’ command in Matthew 5:17–20. What Paul could not achieve when he was a scholar of the Law, he becomes capable of fulfilling through the help of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, through faith, the Law is firmly established—it is by no means abolished. The righteous requirements of the Law are fully met. As a result, people emerge who live according to the Law; they transform their churches and their homes into the kingdom of God. When such churches gather, the kingdom of God is established within the world. Believers live in the world under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and this kingdom becomes one of righteousness, peace, and joy—established, as mentioned earlier, within the Holy Spirit.
As for the human side of this, one need only repent of sin, believe in Jesus, and receive baptism to have one’s sins forgiven. To such a person, the Holy Spirit comes in His fullness. The Holy Spirit then moves within us, enabling us to restrain the desires of the flesh and follow His lead. It is a remarkably simple principle—made easily accessible to us because the Triune God has already accomplished everything. By the grace of God, I have illustrated this in a chart so that anyone can grasp it at a glance. First, it depicts the nature of Abraham’s faith—a concept I have termed "Abraham’s Great Sword."
This understanding allows us to move past 500 years of conflict between Catholicism and Protestantism and become one. A profound unity within the Kingdom of God emerges here—and it goes even further. We interpret Romans 1:17 in this light, incorporating the perspective from the Book of Habakkuk, which also defines a righteous life in this way. I believe this represents the most historically accurate and profound understanding of the process by which one is justified through true faith. With this, I conclude my exposition of the Book of Romans.
We have examined how the justice and order of the Kingdom of God are established—looking at an era and region governed by the law of conscience (exemplified by the Bronze Age on the Korean Peninsula) as well as the Kingdom of God as realized under the governance of the Law (as explored through the Book of Romans).
We also consider the elements of joy within the Kingdom of God. Even if a person possesses everything the world has to offer, they cannot find true happiness alone—much like Adam in the Garden of Eden; thus, God provides a companion. As people reach a certain age, they leave their parents' homes and require a spouse with whom to share their lives—men need women, and women need men. This leads to the establishment of the family, the most vital foundation of the Kingdom of God. For a family to experience peace, there must be order. In the context of Korean society, for instance, Confucian influence has shaped a specific social order. Furthermore, when children arrive, a clear order must exist between parents and children, as well as among the children themselves—a matter well-defined within the Law. The Law also guards against adultery, which poses the greatest threat to the sanctity of the family. Within this family unit, we are meant to find happiness, enjoy peace, and experience an abundance of joy. To achieve this, we must welcome Jesus as the Master of our homes. We are called to work diligently for six days—as the Law instructs—to serve faithfully within the church, and to live in harmony with our neighbors and our brothers and sisters in the faith; all of this is in accordance with biblical teaching. In this framework, every person should also possess a home and land. Having a home and land is essential for living in this world, ensuring happiness, and fostering joy. If we were to live according to this Law, everyone—both in Korea and across the globe—could own a home and land and live a happy life. Yet, the world stands in the way. The state stands in the way. How do they do so? The logic of capitalist liberalism is enshrined in constitutions and various laws. While living in accordance with these laws may spare one from state punishment, such laws can never be truly fair, equal, or just—the kind that would bring happiness to everyone. Compared to the law of God, they are profoundly deficient; they are subject to the whims of those in power, who alter, abuse, and often fail to even uphold them. This is why we see the emergence of "Hell Joseon" (a dystopian Korea), a "Hellish America," as well as communism and dictatorship. Therefore, those who believe in Jesus must strive to live by God’s law and work to build a world governed by it. It is the Holy Spirit who enables us to live fully—100 percent—in accordance with this law, thereby bringing it to completion.
Yet, why is it that in nations like the United States and various European countries—where up to 90 percent of the population, including 15 million Christians, profess the faith—so many people still struggle and face such profound problems? It is because religious leaders—pastors and priests—often fail to grasp these fundamental principles. Instead, they manage their churches according to their own desires, failing to guide the congregation toward the establishment of the Kingdom of God.
This is why finding peace and joy—whether within the church, the family, or the nation—has become so difficult. It is a reality so overwhelming that, in our society, 40 people take their own lives every single day. Pastors and elders who recognize that they bear some responsibility for this grim reality must immediately sell all their possessions to save these individuals from suicide. If the average pastor of a large church—with a congregation of 1,000—possesses a personal fortune of 2 to 3 billion won, then selling off such assets would yield 2 to 3 trillion won. If elders and deacons were to do the same, tens or even hundreds of trillions of won could be gathered in no time. It would be entirely possible to ensure that not a single person dies by suicide; yet, these leaders hoard wealth for themselves, boasting of their riches and seeking only to accumulate more. Does this make any sense? Nowhere in the 1,189 chapters of the Bible is it stated that the Kingdom of God consists of possessing more material wealth. The Scriptures clearly declare that it is not a matter of eating and drinking, but rather of sharing. Now that you understand who ought to be the first to grasp, practice, and advocate for these principles—and who the primary culprits behind such transgressions are—realize this: when they stand before Jesus at the final judgment and He confronts them with the very laws I have mentioned, asking why they lived the way they did, they will have absolutely no defense. If a layperson, while descending into hell, cries out, "I believed that being justified by faith meant I could live however I pleased and still enter heaven," the pastor who taught them will face even greater charges and be cast into an even deeper level of hell.
Only by conveying these truths can one truly proclaim the Kingdom of God in a biblical sense. I cannot say for certain how often I will be able to preach in this manner, but I have set this plan in motion; I have shared with you what I intend to preach, and I have prepared all the necessary materials. Please pray that, in about an hour, I may deliver this message from the pulpit. I trust that many of you love me and are praying for me. In this beautiful, bountiful autumn season, I bless you in the name of Jesus to have a joyful Sunday. Hallelujah!
I have written down the content for the sermon I am about to deliver—a message concerning God, who is both love and justice. May He guide me, that I might boldly, accurately, and effectively proclaim the word He intends for Korea and the entire world. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Sermon Preparation for Gunsan Ebada Church
17. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, (개역 개정, 공동 번역, NIV)
