20190218 오늘의 양식: * 이사야 61:1-6 *

[주께서] 슬퍼하는 자에게 화관을 주어 그 재를 대신하며 기쁨의 기름으로 그 슬픔을 대신하며-이사야 61:3

[등대]

르완다에 있는 “등대”라고 부르는 사역센터는 그 존재 자체만으로도 속량을 상징합니다. 그 등대는 1994년 인종학살 기간 동안 그 나라 대통령 소유의 호화 저택이 있었던 곳에 자리 잡고 있습니다. 이 새로운 건물은 기독교인들에 의해서 빛과 희망의 표지로 세워졌습니다. 그곳에는 지역사회를 위한 호텔, 식당, 그리고 다양한 서비스들과 함께, 새로운 세대의 기독교 지도자들을 양성하기 위한 성경학교도 있습니다. 잿더미 속에서 새로운 삶이 시작된 것입니다. ‘등대’를 건설한 사람들은 예수님을 그들의 희망과 속량의 근원으로 바라봅니다.

예수님은 안식일에 나사렛에 있는 회당에 가서 이사야의 글을 읽으시며, 자신이 주의 은혜를 선포하는 기름 부음 받은 자임을 나타내셨습니다(눅 4:14-21 참조). 주님은 상한 심령을 감싸시며 속량과 용서를 주시기 위해 오신 분이셨습니다. 예수 그리스도 안에서 우리는 잿더미에서 시작되는 아름다움을 볼 수 있습니다(사 61:3).

우리는 부족 간의 싸움으로 인해 50만 명 이상의 희생을 가져온, 도저히 이해할 수 없고 고통스럽고 또 그것에 관하여 어떤 말을 하기도 어려운 르완다 인종학살의 잔혹함을 봅니다. 하지만 우리는 주님이 이 지구상이나 천국에서 그 잔혹함을 다시 회복시켜주실 수 있음을 압니다. 슬픔 대신 기쁨의 기름을 부어주시는 주님은 가장 어두운 상황 한가운데서도 우리에게 희망을 주십니다.

예수님은 가장 어두운 상황 속에서 희망을 주시기 위해 오셨다.

주 예수님, 어떤 사람들이 고통과 고난을 겪고 있다는 것을 들을 때 우리의 마음이 아픕니다. 그들에게 자비를 베풀어주시기를 기도합니다.

[The Lighthouse]

By its very existence, a ministry center in Rwanda called the “Lighthouse” symbolizes redemption. It sits on land where during the genocide in 1994 the country’s president owned a grand home. This new structure, however, has been erected by Christians as a beacon of light and hope. Housed there is a Bible institute to raise up a new generation of Christian leaders, along with a hotel, restaurant, and other services for the community. Out of the ashes has come new life. Those who built the Lighthouse look to Jesus as their source of hope and redemption.

When Jesus went to the synagogue in Nazareth on the Sabbath, He read from the book of Isaiah and announced that He was the Anointed One to proclaim the Lord’s favor (see Luke 4:14–21). He was the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and offer redemption and forgiveness. In Jesus we see beauty coming from the ashes (Isa. 61:3).

We find the atrocities of the Rwandan genocide, when intertribal fighting cost more than a half-million lives, mind-boggling and harrowing, and we hardly know what to say about them. And yet we know that the Lord can redeem the atrocities—either here on earth or in heaven. He who bestows the oil of joy instead of mourning gives us hope even in the midst of the darkest of situations. -Amy Boucher Pye

Jesus came to bring us hope in the darkest of circumstances.

Lord Jesus Christ, our hearts hurt when we hear about the pain and suffering that some endure. Have mercy, we pray.

[Binigyan sila ng Panginoon] ng putong na bulaklak sa halip na abo. Sa halip na pagtangis ay langis ng kagalakan. v.3

[Ang Parola]

May isang gusali sa bansang Rwanda na tinatawag na Lighthouse. Nakatirik ito sa lugar kung saan maraming tao noon ang pinatay. Itinayo ng mga nagtitiwala kay Jesus ang Lighthouse para maging simbolo ng kaligtasan at pag-asa sa mga tao doon. Nagtuturo rin sila ng Salita ng Dios para magabayan nila ang bagong henerasyon na siyang mga susunod na mamumuno sa bansa nila. May mga lugar doon kung saan maaasikaso nang maayos ang mga tao tulad ng hotel, kainan atbp. Ginawa ang lugar na iyon para ipakita sa mga tao na si Jesus ang nagliligtas at nagbibigay sa atin ng pag-asa. Siya rin ang nagbibigay sa atin ng bagong buhay mula sa pagkalugmok.

Pumunta naman si Jesus sa lugar kung saan sumasamba noon ang mga Israelita. Binasa ni Jesus doon ang sinabi ni propeta Isaias. Tapos, sinabi ni Jesus na Siya ang hinirang para ipahayag ang kagandahang-loob ng Dios (TINGNAN ANG LUCAS 4:14-21). Si Jesus ang tinutukoy ni propeta Isaias na nagpapalakas ng loob ng mga nabibigo. Siya rin ang nag-aalok sa atin ng kapatawaran at kaligtasan sa kaparusahan sa kasalanan. Sa pagtitiwala natin kay Jesus, magkakaroon tayo ng isang bagong buhay kahit humaharap tayo sa matitinding pagsubok (Isaias 61:3).

Makikita natin ang matinding kasamaan sa nangyaring pagpatay sa bansang Rwanda na halos kalahating milyong katao ang namatay. Gayon pa man, nalalaman natin na maililigtas tayo ni Jesus sa kasamaan. Siya ang nagbibigay sa

atin ng kagalakan sa panahon na humaharap tayo sa mabibigat na problema. - AMY BOUCHER PYE

Ang Panginoong Jesus ang law na nagbibigay sa atin ng pag-asa sa panahon na humaharap tayo sa madilim na bahagi ng ating buhay.
