Do you know Kimite? Probably, you might have heard about it at least once. When we get on the flight, ship, car, bus any of transportation, people who feel sick usually take medicine to prevent the sickness. There are several kinds of medicine for sickness. One of those items is Kimite and it is a round and small sticker to put on the back of an ear. It is very handy and convenient, so lots of people still use them. However, it has a serious side effect for the senior citizen to cause dementia temporarily. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

Her last name is min. Around 4 years ago; she went on a trip to <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Singapore</st1:place></st1:country-region> with her family, including her mother. Her mother was in early 70’s and she was very healthy and intelligent, but she often felt sick and she put on Kimite. In the flight, they enjoyed the trip and arrived at the airport without any problem. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>

In addition, she asked them why she was there. Finally, she began to cry. All of a sudden, she turned strange and her behavior made Min’s family embarrassed and dumbfounded. The hotel called a doctor, but the doctor couldn’t find the cause. Min’s family stayed at the hotel all day long and eventually, they got back <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Korea</st1:place></st1:country-region> ahead of schedule. Soon they went to hospital for a medical check-up, by that time she still put on Kimite. After all examinations, the doctor told them the cause was Kimite. The main material of Kimite is <SPAN style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold">scopolamine</SPAN> and it causes dementia temporarily. Min’s family couldn’t believe the diagnosis and could not help laughing. Fortunately, the trouble turned out a happening, but for several days, they might be in hot water. <o:p></o:p></FONT></SPAN></P>
