Dear Missionaries whom we respect and love in the Lord,
This is an announcement from the European CMI leadership.
The year has only just begun, yet it already feels as though it is quickly coming to an end. We know you have all worked hard in your respective mission fields, and we deeply appreciate your faithful service.
As we come to the close of 2025, we have prepared one final training program for our missionaries. The session will take place on Saturday, December 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for approximately an hour and a half.
The topic of the training will be “Emotions.”
Our lecturer will be Professor Yu Kyung Lee, who has been leading counseling seminars for missionaries for about 20 years, helping them find balance in their calling, life, and heart. She has a CCC background, and her husband is from ESF, so she is also somewhat familiar with our CMI mission.
Through a personal introduction from a missionary friend in Ukraine, I had the opportunity to attend a 4-day seminar in Warsaw. I learned many new things and gained valuable insights. I felt it would be very beneficial for our missionaries as well, which is why we have prepared this program. Among the sessions, the part on “Emotions” left the deepest impression on me.
As missionaries, we often suppress or ignore our emotions, thinking that ministry must always come first. This seminar challenged that assumption and offered a fresh perspective on emotions. For example, the lecturer shared that “Emotions are not something to suppress or overcome, but something to receive and work with through God’s perspective.” You will be able to hear the details during the lecture.
Please refer to the information below for Professor Lee’s biography.
We kindly ask for your active participation on December 13.
Thank you for taking the time to read this long message.
