Once there was a big cat that caught mice and ate them up. Just recently, a mouse got caught again and was eaten up by the cat. This prompted the mice to hold a meeting in which they discussed a plan how to deal with the cat. The meeting went on and on with no one able to suggest a good idea It nearly broke down into a noisy confusion when a seemingly wise mouse told everyone to quiet down and listen to his proposition, saying "Why not tie a bell around the neck of the cat. Then when we hear the bell and know he is coming, we could ran away in time."
Everyone was impressed with his suggestion as they clapped and agreed altogether, saying, "That's great!"
Suddenly an old mouse stood up and asked, "But who will tie the bell on the cat's neck" Soon whispers were heard across the room until it became a big uproar. "YES, WHO WILL TIE THE BELL ON THE CAT?"
Everyone looked at each other hoping someone would volunteer to do it. But none did, even the Wise Mouse who came up with the suggestion admitted he would only be eaten alive if he tried to bell the cat. Thus, the meeting ended sadly for everyone.
Moral Lesson:
There are some things in life that we just have to learn to live with. Also don't expect others to do a thing if you cannot even do it yourself.
