기쁨을 누리시려고 창조하셨던 선(善)의 세계가 인간의 타락으로 인하여 설움이 가득한 죄악의 세계로 영속할 수밖에 없게 되었다면, 하나님은 창조에 실패한 무능한 하나님이 되고 말 것이다. 그렇기 때문에 하나님은 기필코 이 죄악의 세계를 구원(救援)하시지 않을 수 없는 것이다.

그렇다면 하나님은 이 세계를 어느 정도로 구원하셔야 할 것인가? 두말할 것도 없이 그 구원은 완전한 구원이어야 하므로, 하나님은 어디까지나 이 죄악의 세계에서 사탄의 악의 세력을 완전히 몰아냄으로써(행 26:18) 먼저 인간 시조(始祖)가 타락하기 전의 입장을 복귀(復歸)하는 데까지 구원하시고, 그 위에 선의 창조목적(創造目的)을 완성하시어 하나님이 직접 주관하시는 데까지(행 3:21) 나아가지 않으면 아니 되는 것이다.

병든 사람을 구원한다는 것은 병들기 전의 상태로 복귀시킨다는 뜻이요, 물에 빠진 자를 구원한다는 것은 곧 빠지기 전의 입장으로 복귀시킨다는 뜻이다. 그렇다면 죄에 빠진 자를 구원한다는 것은 곧 죄가 없는 창조본연(創造本然)의 입장으로 복귀시킨다는 뜻이 아닐 것인가? 그러므로 하나님의 구원섭리(救援攝理)는 곧 복귀섭리(復歸攝理)인 것이다(행 1:6, 마 17:11).

타락(墮落)은 물론 인간 자신의 과오로 말미암아 되어진 결과이다. 그러나 어디까지나 하나님이 인간을 창조하셨기 때문에 인간의 타락이란 결과도 있을 수 있었으므로, 하나님은 이 결과에 대하여 창조주(創造主)로서의 책임을 지시지 않을 수 없는 것이다. 그러므로 하나님은 이 잘못된 결과를 창조본연의 것으로 복귀하시려는 섭리를 하시지 않을 수 없는 것이다.

喜びを得るために創造なさった善の世界が、人間の堕落によって、悲しみに満ちた罪悪世界となり、これが永続するほかはないというのであれば、神は、創造に失敗した無能な神となってしまうのである。それゆえに、神は必ずこの罪悪の世界を、救わなければならないのである。

それでは、神は、この世界を、どの程度にまで救わなければならないのであろうか。いうまでもなく、その救いは完全な救いでなければならないので、神はどこまでもこの罪悪の世界から、サタンの悪の勢力を完全に追放し（使徒二六・18）、それによって、まず、人間始祖の堕落以前の立場にまで復帰なさり、その上に善の創造目的を完成して、神が直接主管されるところまで（使徒三・21）、救いの摂理をなしていかなければならないのである。

病気にかかった人間を救うということは、病気になる以前の状態に復帰するということを意味するし、水に溺れた人を救うということは、すなわち、水に溺れる以前の立場にまで復帰するという意味なのである。

罪に陥った者を救うということは、その者を罪のない創造本然の立場にまで復帰させるという意味でなくて何であろうか。それゆえに、神の救いの摂理は、すなわち復帰摂理となるのである（使徒一・６、マタイ一七・11）。

堕落は、もちろん人間自身の過ちによってもたらされた結果である。しかし、どこまでも神が人間を創造されたのであり、それによって、人間の堕落という結果も起こり得たのであるから、神はこの結果に対して、創造主としての責任を負わなければならない。したがって、神はこの誤った結果を、創造本然のものへと復帰するように摂理なさらなければならないのである。

 God intended to create a world of goodness and experience from it the utmost joy; yet due to the human Fall, the world came to be filled with sin and sorrow. If this sinful world were to continue forever in its present state, then God would be an impotent and ineffectual God who failed in His creation. Therefore, God will save this sinful world, by all means.

To what extent should God save this world? He should save it completely. First, God must expel the evil power of Satan from this sinful world (Acts 26:18), thereby bringing it back to its original state prior to the Fall of the human ancestors. Salvation must then continue until the good purpose of creation is fulfilled and God’s direct dominion is established (Acts 3:21).
 
To save a sick person is to restore him to the condition of health he had before the illness. To save a drowning person is to restore him to the state he was in before he fell in the water. Likewise, to save a person suffering under the yoke of sin means to restore him to his original, sinless state. In other words, God’s work of salvation is the providence of restoration (Acts 1:6); (Matt. 17:11).
 
The human Fall was undoubtedly the result of human mistakes. Nevertheless, God also assumes some responsibility for the outcome because it was He who created human beings. Therefore, God has felt compelled to conduct the providence to correct this tragic outcome and to restore human beings to their true, original state.
