처음 구절은 NLT, 두 번째 구절은 VOICE
1 So we must listen /very carefully /to the truth () we have heard, or we may drift away /from it.
vi 3 vi
1 That is why we ought to pay even closer attention /to the voice //that has been speaking
3 vi
/so that we will never drift away /from it.
vi
2 For [the message () God delivered /through angels] has always stood firm,
3 Lv c
and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished.
3
2 For if [the words of instruction and inspiration /brought by heaven’s messengers] were valid,
and if we live /in a universe //where sin and disobedience receive their just rewards,
vi 3
3 So what makes us think () we can escape
5 vi
if we ignore this great salvation //that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself
3 3
and then delivered /to us /by those //who heard him speak?
3 5
3 then how will we escape destruction /if we ignore this great salvation?
3 3
We heard it first from our Lord Jesus, then from those //who passed on His teaching.
3 3
4 And God confirmed the message /by giving signs and wonders and various miracles
3
and gifts of the Holy Spirit /whenever he chose.
4 God also testifies /to this truth /by signs and wonders and miracles
vi
and the gifts of the Holy Spirit /lighting on those () He chooses.
3
5 And furthermore, it is not angels //who will control the future world () we are talking about.
3 vi
5 Now clearly God didn’t set up the heavenly messengers /to bring the final word
3
or to rule over the world //that is coming.
vi
6 For in one place the Scriptures say, “What are mere mortals //that you should think about them,
vi 3
or a son of man //that you should care for him?
3
6 I have read something /somewhere:
3
I can’t help but wonder why You care about mortals or choose to love the son of man.
3 3 3
7 Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.
5 3
8 You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says “all things,” it means () nothing is left out.
4 vi 3 3
But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority.
3
7-8
Though he was born below the heavenly messengers, You honored the son of man like royalty,
crowning him with glory and honor, 3
Raising him above all earthly things, placing everything under his feet.
When God placed everything /under the son of man, He didn’t leave out anything.
3 3
Maybe we don’t see all that happening yet;
5
9 [What we do see] is Jesus, who was given a position /“a little lower than the angels”;
4
and because he suffered death for us, he is now “crowned with glory and honor.”
3 3
Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.
3
* suffer; to feel or endure pain, illness, or injury
9 but [what we do see] is Jesus, born a little lower than the heavenly messengers,
who is now crowned /with glory and honor /because He willingly suffered and died.
3 vi vi
And He did that /so that through God’s grace, He might taste death /on behalf of everyone.
3 3
* Definition of on behalf of: Activity, situation or speech completed for someone else. 대신하여, 위하여
10 God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory.
3 3
And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader,
3
fit to bring them into their salvation.
* Definition of fit; 형 of a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet the required purpose
10 It only makes sense that God,
3
by whom and for whom everything exists,
vi
would choose to bring many of us to His side by using suffering to perfect Jesus,
3
the founder of our faith, the pioneer of our salvation.
* Make sense definition - to have a clear meaning : to be easy to understand.
11 So now [Jesus and the ones () he makes holy] have the same Father.
3 3
That is why Jesus is not ashamed /to call them his brothers and sisters.
b c
11 As I will show you,
3
it’s important that [the One //who brings us to God and those //who are brought to God] become one,
3 3 Lv c
since we are all from one Father. This is why Jesus was not ashamed to call us His family,
b c
12 For he said to God, “I will proclaim your name /to my brothers and sisters.
vi 3
I will praise you /among your assembled people.”
3
12 saying, in the words of the psalmist,
I will speak Your Name /to My brothers and sisters when I praise You /in the midst of the community.
3 3
13 He also said, “I will put my trust /in him,” that is, “I and the children God has given me.”
3 4
* that is; In other words; that is to say. Used to introduce a clarification or explanation 부연 설명하자면
13 And in the words of Isaiah, I will wait /for the Eternal One.
vi
And again, Look, here I am with the children () God has given Me.
4
14 Because God’s children are human beings —made of flesh and blood—
the Son also became [flesh and blood].
Lv c
For only as a human being could he die,
vi
and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
3 3
* [flesh and blood] used to emphasize that a person is a physical, living being with human emotions or frailties,
often in contrast to something abstract, spiritual, or mechanical.
14 Since we, the children, are all creatures of flesh and blood, Jesus took on flesh and blood,
3
so that by dying He could destroy the one //who held power over death—the devil—
3
* take on something : to begin to have, use, or do something 시작하다, 무엇을 하다
15 Only in this way could he set free [all //who have lived their lives /as slaves to the fear of dying].
3 3
* set free (transitive 타동사구) To release, to free, to give freedom to.
15 and destroy the fear of death //that has always held people captive.
3 5
16 We also know that the Son did not come /to help angels;
3 vi
he came to help the descendants of Abraham.
16 So notice
— His concern here is not for the welfare of the heavenly messengers, but for the children of Abraham.
17 Therefore, it was necessary [for him to be made in every respect like us], his brothers and sisters,
so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God.
Then he could offer a sacrifice //that would take away [the sins of the people].
3 3
17 He had to become /as human as His sisters and brothers so that when the time came,
vi
He could become [a merciful and faithful high priest of God], called to reconcile a sinful people.
Lv
18 Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us
3 3
/when we are being tested.
3
* "been through" and "gone through"; both can be used to imply enduring hardship or undergoing stress. 격다
18 Since He has also been tested by suffering, He can help us when we are tested.
