[109] 2017-08-19 Last Course of Vietnam

베트남의 마지막날이다. 

전날 적게 걸은데다가 오늘의 코스는 오르막 경사이므로 만만찮다. 

26Km다.

The last course of Vietnam.

Yesterday, I walked less than I planned . 

Today I have to walk 26 km, the upward slope, which gives me a challenge.

새벽같이 일어나 꽤 많은 비가 내리고 있는 가운데 어제 마친 지점에서 출발.

I started at the point where I finished yesterday's course.

It was early in the morning and it rained a lot.

그런데 얼마있지 않아 비가 잦아들더니 걷기에는 최적의 날씨가 내내 연출된다.

짙은 안개구름이 끼인 가운데 서늘한 바람마저 분다.

고생했던 8월 13일의 26Km구간과 대조적. 

Soon the rain stopped and it was best for walking.

Deep fog clouds made the weather cool.  Cool wind made the atmosphere comfortable.

The 13th of August course (26km) which was worst is compared with today's good course.

원래 배낭에 부착된 '핵발전소 이제 그만' 이라는 글씨를 보고 많은 이들이 필자가 한국인임을 알아차렸다.

I took a picture of the place where I took a rest.

The banner is written as "No More Nuclear Power Plants!"

Many young men read and understand the banner, and they knew that I was a Korean.

물소 가족이 걸어가는 필자가 신기한듯 물끄러미 지켜본다.

A family of water buffalo is looking at me, and I am looking at them. 

목적지가 앞으로 1km. 

오르막길 26km를 오전에 주파하는 것은 굉장한 일이다. 

그렇다고 빠른 걸음으로 온 것은 아니다.

역시 날씨 힘이 크다. 어쩌면 기록적인 날이 될 것 같다.

I was walking at the place which was only 1 km apart from the destination.

It was not easy to walk 26km in the morning.   I walked slowly.  

First of all, the good weather was the most important condition.  

Today's course will be remembered for a long time.

I took a picture with a lady at the restaurant who was very curious about my pilgrimage.

나흘동안 필자를 도와준 베트남 Hung씨. 

한국에 3년간 있었던 그는 조카가 한국으로 시집와서 서울에서 아이낳고 잘 살고 있다고 있다.

자신의 차를 갖고 짐도 나르고 필자의 안전도 챙겨주었다. 

물론 렌트비용은 꽤 지불한 터이다.

Mr. Hung was a Vietnamese who helped me for 4 days. 

He said that he had stayed at Korea for 3 years. 

His nephew married a Korean and was living a happy life at Seoul.

He drove his own car, carried my baggage, and paid attention to my safety.

In addition, he payed much of the rent expenses of the car.

이로써 23일간 386km에 걸친 베트남 순례길은 무사히 마쳤다.

필자는 원래 이 베트남 코스가 2년간의 순례길에서 가장 어려운 코스가 되리라고 보았다. 

순례에서 가장 어려운 것은 무더운 날씨다. 추위는 걱정이 별로 없다.

또한번의 여름인 2018년 여름은 건조한 지역을 지나가므로 그늘막만 잘 준비하면 어려움이 적다.

하지만 베트남은 그들의 가장 더운 시기인데다 우기여서 고온 다습한 가운데 순례를 진행하여야 한다. 참여자도 가장 적을 수밖에 없다. 

그런 가운데 무사히 마친 것은 그동안 음으로 양으로 도와주신 분들 덕분이다.

I finished Vietnam course, 386km for 23 days, safely. 

I expected the Vietnam course the most difficult course of my 2 years' pilgrimage.

The most difficult challenge of pilgrimage is hot weather.  Cold weather is no problem. 

During the second summer of pilgrimage in 2018, I will walk in the dry area. 

In dry and hot weather, the shade will help me a lot.

In Vietnam, the weather was very hot and humid.  The participants were few in Vietnam. 

I would like to thank many people I met in Vietnam, who hleped me in various forms of support.     

또 한가지 밝히자면 한국군이 과거 월남전 당시 저지른 만행에 늘 사과하는 마음으로 걸었다.

한걸음씩 걸어가는 필자의 모습을 보고 같은 지구인의 한 사람으로서 마음을 열고 환대해준 모든 베트남인들에게 감사드린다.

While I walk in Vietnam, I was thinking about the atrocities of Korean soldiers during the Vietnam War in the 1960s.  For the past wrongdoing, I kept genuine apology deep in my mind while I walk.

I would like to express my deep thanks to the Vietnamese who welcomed me as a member of Earth village.
