Dalat-Grade 8s returned from an epic annual retreat

Our Grade 8s returned from an epic annual retreat, trading their textbooks for grit, teamwork, and service. It was a time to push limits and lay the foundation for the years ahead!

From dry caving and high ropes to white-water rafting, our students learned one vital lesson: You can’t do this alone. On Day 2, the focus shifted to service mode. The class partnered with a local community, helping to repaint a community hall and build a new library corner.

Whether leading the way through a cave or organizing library books, every role was vital. Many hands make light work, and the experience together is far more enjoyable than going at it solo.

Judging by these pictures, we think they had a lot of fun and created memories that will last a lifetime!

우리 8학년 학생들은 열정, 팀워크, 봉사를 위해 교과서를 교환하는 멋진 연례 수련회에서 돌아왔습니다. 앞으로의 몇 년을 위해 한계를 뛰어넘고 기초를 다지는 시간이었습니다!
건식 동굴과 하이 로프부터 백수 래프팅까지, 우리 학생들은 한 가지 중요한 교훈을 배웠습니다: 혼자서는 할 수 없다는 것입니다. 둘째 날에는 서비스 모드로 초점을 옮겼습니다. 이 수업은 지역 커뮤니티와 협력하여 커뮤니티 홀을 다시 칠하고 새로운 도서관 코너를 만드는 데 도움을 주었습니다.
동굴을 이끌든 도서관 책을 정리하든 모든 역할이 중요했습니다. 많은 손이 가벼운 작업을 하고, 혼자서 하는 것보다 함께하는 경험이 훨씬 더 즐겁습니다.
