1. 수요동향(Demand – Market Volume)

 ○ Venezuela, with a population of an estimated 30 million people, has been n the middle of a massive construction overhaul started by the current government in 2009. This has brought about new projects which are always in need of engineering plastics.

 ○ Production: Pequiven(www.pequiven.com) is the state owned petrochemical company listed under

the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining(http://www.menpet.gob.ve). Pequiven only produces the following raw materials:

  - Polyethylene(PE)

  - Polypropylene(PP)

  - Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC)

     Since the local production is usually insufficient, there is some import of these raw materials.
