Last summer, I participated in volunteer work at a local library. My job was to organize books, guide visitors to the locations of materials, and keep the reading room clean and orderly. At first, I felt awkward and nervous about speaking to strangers first. However, as I answered visitors’ questions and helped them, I gradually became more confident. I especially felt proud and happy when people thanked me after finding the books they wanted. Through this experience, I realized that even small acts of help can become meaningful support for others.
I also try to actively participate in my school community. Recently, I took part in a smoking prevention campaign at school. Together with my friends, I promoted the dangers of smoking and the importance of healthy habits. At first, I was embarrassed to introduce the campaign in front of other students, but as I worked together with my friends, I gained more confidence. In addition, seeing many students show interest and participate in the campaign made me realize that small actions can positively change the atmosphere of a school.
At the same time, I have also received meaningful help from others. Last year, during an information technology class, I had difficulty completing a coding assignment. My program kept showing errors, and I felt frustrated because I could not solve the problem alone. At that time, one of my friends looked through my code with me, carefully explained the cause of the errors, and kindly showed me how to fix them. Thanks to my friend’s help, I was able to successfully complete the assignment, and I realized how important it is to learn and grow by helping one another in difficult situations.
Through these experiences, I learned that a harmonious life is created when people help and support each other. Sometimes we give help, and sometimes we receive it. In the future, I will continue to support people around me and strive to live harmoniously with others.
