멕시코에서 열린 잊지 못할 국제 세미나

Es un honor inmenso compartir con todos la experiencia del Segundo Seminario Oficial en México 2025 como representante de la United World Haedong Kumdo Federation (UWHKF). A pesar de los desafíos y el arduo trabajo que implica organizar un evento de esta magnitud, cada momento se realizó con entusiasmo, cariño y dedicación, buscando ofrecer lo mejor a todos los participantes.

Esta ocasión fue aún más especial, ya que celebramos la segunda generación de cintas negras, alumnos y profesores que confiaron en la enseñanza y el desarrollo de este hermoso arte marcial. Después de tanto esfuerzo, llegó el momento de la prueba más esperada.

Además, tuvimos el honor de recibir al Profesor Alexander de Colombia y a su esposa, una visita que añadió un toque especial a nuestro evento. Y, por supuesto, contamos con la presencia invaluable del Gran Maestro Kim Jeong Seong, quien nos visitó por segunda vez en México, ¡a quien ya consideramos parte de nuestra familia!

Con estas premisas, preparamos cada detalle con esmero para que esta fuera una experiencia inolvidable, cuidando hasta el más mínimo detalle.

La emoción comenzó desde el momento en que fuimos al aeropuerto a recibir al Profesor Alexander y a su esposa. Compartimos una cena maravillosa, llena de conversaciones amenas sobre nuestros países y descubriendo gustos en común (¡como el anime!). Mientras esperábamos al Gran Maestro Kim, la anticipación crecía. Finalmente, su llegada fue recibida con alegría, y disfrutamos de una cena y una charla igualmente agradables antes de descansar.

Al día siguiente, exploramos Tepoztlán, comenzando con el desafío de llegar a la zona arqueológica (¡que, honestamente, yo tampoco había visitado!). La caminata fue ardua, pero la actitud positiva de todos nos impulsó a alcanzar la cima de la pirámide. Allí, la lluvia nos recibió como una bendición para este gran proyecto y cada uno de sus integrantes. El descenso fue igualmente desafiante debido a lo resbaladizo del terreno, pero después de un buen café, nos fuimos a descansar.

Esa noche, vivimos una aventura memorable con nuestros amigos de Colombia, buscando un lugar para cenar bajo una intensa lluvia. Caminar en la oscuridad, sin conocer el lugar, nos llevó a la plaza, donde las risas y las emociones llenaron el ambiente.

Finalmente, llegó el día del curso intensivo. Aunque éramos pocos, ¡éramos los que teníamos que estar! El Gran Maestro Kim compartió su sabiduría con alegría, y cada uno de los alumnos, profesores e integrantes de la asociación disfrutamos y aprendimos con cada actualización técnica. Fue un momento divertido en el que cada uno pudo demostrar sus habilidades y el desarrollo de sus técnicas, ¡lo cual considero lo más importante!

La hora de la comida también fue un momento especial, compartiendo la mesa y conversando sobre diversos temas, lo que reflejó la unión de nuestro equipo.

Llegada la hora de los exámenes, los alumnos llegaron con entusiasmo, acompañados de sus familiares. A pesar del calor, nada impidió que demostraran sus habilidades y fortalezas. Para mí, fue un honor dirigir el examen, que diseñé de manera personalizada y lo más completa posible, abarcando prácticamente todo el programa. Fue un proceso extenso, pero cada participante lo realizó de manera excelente, ¡y hubo muchas sorpresas!

Al finalizar, celebramos la entrega de cintas y certificados, un momento hermoso en el que todos festejamos juntos este gran logro. Los cambios de uniforme, la entrega de reconocimientos, las fotos... al final, un sentimiento de agotamiento se mezcló con una satisfacción inmensa, ¡ya que todos dieron lo mejor de sí y el Gran Maestro Kim estaba muy feliz!

Al día siguiente, durante la primera etapa del seminario, organizamos el espacio con el Maestro Giovani, buscando que luciera genial. Aprendimos actualizaciones técnicas cruciales, especialmente en la técnica de espadas gemelas, con la valiosa participación de los alumnos ya como cintas negras y de los profesores. El evento fue magnífico, y la sesión de corte fue especialmente divertida, ¡con muchos demostrando habilidades sorprendentes!

Las sesiones de sanación impartidas por el Gran Maestro Kim fueron muy reparadoras para varios integrantes del equipo, quienes lograron mejorar muchos aspectos y dolencias gracias a su técnica.

El último día de relajación fue uno de los mejores. Convivimos y conocimos Yecapixtla, famoso por su deliciosa cecina, que disfrutamos en el desayuno. Luego, visitamos el exconvento, donde el Gran Maestro Kim nos compartió valiosas enseñanzas sobre la religión y el ser humano. ¡Aún seguíamos aprendiendo!

Después, invitamos a nuestros amigos de Colombia y al Gran Maestro Kim a nuestro humilde hogar, donde compartimos momentos especiales y les entregamos algunos presentes hechos con cariño por nuestra familia. Bailamos, escuchamos música y salimos a comer. ¡El trayecto en mototaxi seguramente quedará grabado en l
la memoria de nuestros amigos y del Gran Maestro Kim! Fue algo a lo que no están acostumbrados, ¡pero fue de lo más divertido!

Después de una deliciosa comida de barbacoa, llegó el momento de la despedida. Nos dirigimos al aeropuerto para acompañar a nuestros amigos y al Gran Maestro Kim, deseándoles un buen viaje de regreso a casa.

Este evento me enseñó mucho, y a nivel personal, me demostró que "querer es poder". La pasé de maravilla con mi familia, al tener de nuevo al Gran Maestro Kim en casa, así como a nuestros amigos de Colombia, el Maestro Alexander y su esposa Liz, ¡quienes se han convertido en parte de nuestra familia! Esperamos de todo corazón que hayan disfrutado de todo lo que preparamos con tanto esfuerzo.

Quiero expresar mi sincero agradecimiento al Maestro Giovanni, cuyo apoyo fue crucial para llevar a cabo el evento en las instalaciones, al Maestro Emmanuel, quien nos acompañó y nos apoyó con el transporte, y a mi sobrina Samantha, quien nos ayudó con la traducción. Y, sobre todo, a mi esposa y a mis hijos, quienes son mi familia y la parte principal de la asociación, ¡y quienes me brindan su apoyo y ánimo cada día para seguir adelante a pesar de las adversidades! United World Haedong Kumdo Federation (UWHKF)의 대표로서, 멕시코에서 열린 2025 제2회 공식 세미나의 경험을 모든 분들과 나눌 수 있게 되어 큰 영광이다.
이처럼 규모 있는 행사를 준비하는 과정은 많은 어려움과 노력이 따르지만, 모든 순간이 열정과 사랑, 그리고 헌신으로 가득 차 있었다. 참가자 모두에게 최선을 다하고자 하는 마음 하나였다.

이번 세미나는 특히 의미가 깊었다.
진영쌍검류 해동검도를 신뢰하며 함께해온 제2세대의 사범들과 수련생들이 검은띠 시험을 치르는 뜻깊은 자리였기 때문이다. 오랜 노력 끝에 마침내 가장 기다려온 시험의 순간이 찾아왔다.

또한 이번 행사에는 콜롬비아에서 온 Alexander 사범님과 부인 Liz이 함께해 주셨고, 그들의 방문은 행사에 특별한 빛을 더해 주었다.
그리고 무엇보다, 진영쌍검류 김정성 총재님께서 두 번째로 멕시코를 방문해 주셨는데, 이제는 진정한 가족으로 느껴질 만큼 따뜻한 만남이었다.

모든 준비는 “잊지 못할 경험”이 되도록 세심하게 진행되었다.
공항에서 콜롬비아 대표 부부를 맞이한 순간부터 즐거운 대화와 만찬이 이어졌고, 애니메이션 등 서로의 공통된 관심사로 웃음이 가득했다.
총재님의 도착을 기다리는 동안 설렘은 점점 커졌고, 드디어 함께한 저녁 식사와 대화는 진심 어린 교류의 시간이었다.

다음 날, 우리는 테포즐틀란(Tepoztlán)의 고대 유적지를 향해 나섰다. 험한 오르막길이었지만 모두의 밝은 에너지가 우리를 정상까지 이끌었다.
그곳에서 내린 비는 마치 축복처럼 느껴졌으며, 이 프로젝트의 새로운 시작을 상징했다. 미끄러운 하산길도 끝내 모두의 웃음으로 마무리되었다.

세미나 본행사는 소수 정예였지만, 바로 그 점이 진정한 의미를 더했다.
김정성 총재님께서 직접 전수해 주신 지혜와 기술은 깊은 감동을 주었고, 참가자 전원이 즐겁고 진지하게 배움에 몰입했다.
식사 시간 또한 팀의 단합을 느낄 수 있는 특별한 시간이었고, 이후 진행된 승단시험에서는 뜨거운 열정과 실력이 한데 어우러졌다.
시험은 세밀하고 체계적으로 구성되어 있었으며, 모든 수련생이 훌륭히 수행해 주었다. 그 결과는 감동 그 자체였다.

시상식에서는 검은띠와 단증이 수여되었고, 모든 참가자가 함께 기쁨을 나누었다.
총재님의 미소와 만족감은 우리 모두에게 큰 보람으로 남았다.

세미나의 다음 단계에서는 쌍검술의 핵심 원리와 기술적 업데이트가 전수되었고, 흥미로운 베기 실습이 이어졌다.
또한 총재님의 힐링 세션은 여러 수련생의 통증을 완화하고 기의 흐름을 회복시키는 놀라운 체험의 장이 되었다.

마지막 날에는 예카픽스틀라(Yecapixtla)로 이동하여 유명한 세시나 요리를 즐기며 휴식과 교류의 시간을 가졌다.
이후 고대 수도원을 방문해, 총재님께서 종교와 인간 본성에 대한 깊은 말씀을 들려주셨다.
그 가르침 속에서도 여전히 배움은 계속되었다.

이날 우리는 총재님과 콜롬비아 대표 부부를 집으로 초대해 소박하지만 진심 어린 선물과 함께 음악과 춤, 웃음이 넘치는 시간을 보냈다.
특히 모토택시를 함께 타고 이동한 경험은 모두에게 잊을 수 없는 추억으로 남았다.

마지막으로, 공항에서의 작별 인사는 아쉬움 속에서도 깊은 감사로 가득했다.
이번 경험을 통해 “하고자 하면 할 수 있다”는 믿음을 다시금 확인할 수 있었다.
가족, 제자들, 그리고 진영쌍검류의 가르침이 함께였기에 가능한 일이었다.

끝으로, 행사 진행에 헌신해준 Giovani 사범님, Emmanuel 사범님, 통역을 맡아준 조카 Samantha, 그리고 언제나 곁에서 힘이 되어준 아내와 자녀들에게 진심으로 감사드린다.
이들이야말로 진정한 가족이며, 협회의 심장이다.

🎉 An Unforgettable International Seminar in Mexico 🎉

It was a great honor to share the experience of the 2nd Official Haedong Kumdo Seminar in Mexico 2025 as the representative of the United World Haedong Kumdo Federation (UWHKF).
Although organizing an event of this magnitude required great effort and dedication, every moment was filled with enthusiasm, love, and commitment to offering the best possible experience for all participants.

This seminar was particularly meaningful, as we celebrated the second generation of black belts — students and instructors who have trusted in the teachings and evolution of this beautiful martial art. After much preparation, the long-awaited test day finally arrived.

We also had the great honor of welcoming Professor Alexander from Colombia and his wife Liz, whose presence brought special warmth to the event.
And, of course, the highlight was the visit of Grandmaster Kim Jeong Seong, who came to Mexico for the second time — now truly part of our family.

Every detail was carefully prepared to make this an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we greeted our Colombian friends at the airport, we shared joyful conversations and discovered many common interests (including anime!).
As we awaited Grandmaster Kim’s arrival, excitement grew, and once he arrived, we enjoyed a delightful evening of dinner and conversation.

The next day, we explored Tepoztlán, climbing up to its ancient pyramid site. The path was steep, yet everyone’s positive spirit carried us to the top.
There, the rain came as if to bless this great project and all its participants. After the challenging descent and a good cup of coffee, we rested well.

That evening, despite the heavy rain, we ventured out with our Colombian friends for dinner — an adventure full of laughter, friendship, and memories.

Finally, the intensive course day arrived.
Although the group was small, it was exactly as it needed to be — filled with passion and focus.
Grandmaster Kim shared his wisdom with great joy, and every instructor and student participated wholeheartedly, refining their skills and understanding.
The lunch break was another highlight, where we shared the table, stories, and genuine connection.

During the black-belt examination, the students gave their very best, supported by their families. Despite the heat, everyone showed strong spirit and discipline.
It was an honor to lead this test, which I designed to cover all essential elements of the curriculum — and the results were outstanding.

The belt and certificate ceremony was a moment of deep joy and pride.
As uniforms changed and photos were taken, we all felt a mix of exhaustion and immense fulfillment. Grandmaster Kim’s satisfaction was visible, and that alone made everything worthwhile.

In the following seminar stage, we learned advanced updates on the twin-sword techniques, with active participation from black belts and instructors.
The cutting session was especially enjoyable, full of energy and surprises.
Additionally, Grandmaster Kim’s healing sessions offered relief and recovery to several participants, restoring balance and energy flow.

On the final day, we visited Yecapixtla, famous for its delicious cecina, enjoying a relaxing morning together.
Later, at the old monastery, Grandmaster Kim shared profound insights about religion and the nature of human life, continuing our learning journey beyond martial practice.

We then invited Grandmaster Kim and our Colombian guests to our home, sharing heartfelt gifts, laughter, and even dancing!
The short ride in the mototaxi was an unforgettable experience — something completely new and fun for our guests.
After a final meal together, we accompanied them to the airport for farewell, filled with gratitude and joy.

This entire experience taught me one thing clearly: “Where there is will, there is a way.”
Having Grandmaster Kim and our Colombian friends at home was an immense joy for my family and me.
They have truly become part of our family, and we sincerely hope they enjoyed everything we prepared with so much love and effort.

My heartfelt thanks go to Master Giovanni for his vital support in organizing the venue, Master Emmanuel for transportation assistance, my niece Samantha for translation, and most importantly, my wife and children, the heart and soul of our association, whose constant encouragement keeps me moving forward despite all challenges.
