13.天火同人(천화동인).䷌ ......4

    ▣ 六二 同人于宗 吝

         육이  동인우종  린

      [풀이]

         [육2]는 종족끼리만 친친하면 인색하다.

       [해설]

          宗(종)은 宗家(종가)를 이른다.

          종가의 회합은 당연이 일가친척만 모이니 類族辨物(유족변물)이 되어야 한다.

          同人(동인)의 상은 남자 형제만 우글거리고 있는 집안에 2는 무남독녀로 사랑을 독차지하고 있는 상이기도 하다.

          2는 유순중정한 宗婦(종부)로서 강건중정한 [구5]와 정응을 하고 있기에 전혀 문제가 될 수 없는 주효이다.

          나머지 다른 다섯 사람들의 입장에서 보면 단 하나밖에 없는 아름다운 20대 처녀를 5에게

          독식 당한다 여기면 마음이 그리 유쾌하지는 않을 것이다.

          그래서 대동으로 단합하고 호합하려는 차원에서 [육2] 같이 한 곳에만 매여 동인하는 것은 

          [同人于宗,동인우종] 문제가 있다[吝,린].

          사사로운 욕심만 내고 남의 사정이라곤 조금도 생각하지 않는 사람이라면 분명 단체생활에 문제가 있을 것이다.

          공자도 "다른 사람을 초대하지 않고 종족끼리만  친친하는 것은 인색할 수밖에 없는 도리

           [象曰 同人于宗 吝道也, 상왈 동인우종 린도야]"라고 서운해 한 대목이다.

           우암과 성호와 三山(삼산) 유정원의 해설이 이해를 더한다.

           이것이 동인이 乾卦(건괘)로 간 연유이다.

           그 까닭은 이렇다.

           天(천)의 아버지 일족 '宗(종)'만이 火(화)로 相見禮(상견례)하니 '同人于宗(동인우종)'이고,

           吝(린)은 종족 외는 화합이 없기 때문이다.

     13. Cheon-Hwa-Dong-ln(Hexafeam 13 : Fellowship with Men/ Conciliation).....4

          ▣ [Six at Line 2(六二,육이)] : 

               Fellowship with men only within the clan/ancestry. Regret/ Humiliation.

          [Explanation]

              [Six at Line 2(六二,육이)] If one maintains fellowship only among one's own clan,

               it leads to narrow-minded regret.

          [Commentary]

            Jong (宗,종) refers to the head family/clan (宗家,종가).     

            Since a gathering of the head family naturally brings together only close relatives,

            it must involve 'categorizing clans and distinguishing things(類族辨物유족변물)."

            The image of Tong-in(同人,동인) is also an image  of Line 2 being an only daughter

             monopolizing love in a household teeming with male brothers.

             Line 2 is a gentle, central, and correct eldest daughter-in-law (宗婦,종부) who has a proper

             line-correspondence with Nine 5(九五,구오), who is strong, central, and correct,

             making her a main line that causes no probiem at all.

             However, from the perspective of the other five people,

             if they feel that the only beautiful woman in her 20s is monopolized by Nine 5,

             they will not feel very pleased.

             Therefore, in terms of achieving broad unity(大同,대동) and harmony,

             being tied to and socializing with only one place like[Six at Line 2] [同人于宗,동인우종]

             is problematic[吝,린].        

             If someone only pursues personal greed without considering others' circumstances at all,

             they will clearly cause problems in group life.

            Confucius also expressed regret in this passage, saying, "Socializing only among one's

            clan without inviting others cannot help but be narrow- minded  

            [象曰 同人于宗 吝道也, 상왈 동인우종 린도야]."   

            The commentaries of Uam, Seongho, and Samsan Yu Jeong-won add to this understanding.

            This is the reason why Tong-in(同人,동인 -Fellowship) changed into Geon-gwa(乾卦,건괘 -

             Hexagram Qian/Heaven).

             The reason is as follows : Only the clan(宗,종) on the side of the father Heaven (天,천)

             meets with Fire(火,화) through propriety (相見禮,상견례),

             which is "Fellowship with men within the clan(同人于宗,동인우종) ;

             and regret (吝,린) arises because there is no harmony outside of the clan.
