JOB OVERVIEW The Technical Sales Specialist role is to tailor-made systems products to meet customers particular requirement and in line with business strategies to sell Dows system and achieve the business objectives. The specific requirements are :
- Knowledge of customers , including of their machines , laboratories , technology, financial and credit situations ; - Close tie with manufacturing / supplier chain etc. dept. - Awareness of environmental issues and network with QA; - Introduce cost element in judgment of feasibility of the project; - Establish very strong relationship with customers; - Selling techniques etc.
QUALIFICATION//EDUCATION//CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry related or Chemical Engineering field is required. - Should have at least 2-year PU research & development experience - Be fluent in both written & spoken English skills; travel is required mainly within the country with some occasional overseas trip. - Primary location is Yeosu and Seoul can be considered.
GOALS AND COMPETENCIES FOR THIS POSITION - Formulate tailor-made PU systems to meet customers specific requirement - Provide technical service to customers - Create good relationship with key target accounts - In line with business strategy to develop new account and maintain SOM at existing accounts to achieve business goals - Create good team work with other functional department
GLOBAL AND FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES - Customer analysis: must understand customer motivation , buying influence and stated customer needs , Access Dows position at key accounts versus major competitors. - Market analysis : Understand the key influence on the markets , offers and educated opinion of industry trends and questions how , when and why an industry or market has changed. - Business strategy : comprehends the business strategy and his / her role in the implementation of lit incl. product differentiation , cost position / key raw materials , channels to market , available resource and pricing / profit objectives. - Impact: is expected to involve others in customer issue /opportunity management. - Innovation: adopts standard Dow work processes and procedures ; applies known approaches to solve problems or accomplish goals. - Teamwork : Interacts effectively with other team members / contributes to the development of team action plans / Helps to other team members. - Value creation : sets personal goals alignment with the business strategy / understands the functional plan for meeting the business strategy and objectives / looks to ad. Value with every activity. - R&D competency : Generate reproducible data , interprets the results and documents according to Dow guideline / utilizes current technology to accomplish the tasks on specific projects and to solve routine technical problems.
