Title : The Only sign for the coming of Jesus.
The word "sign" appears only three times in Matthew chapter 24. These are Matthew 24:3, 24, and 30.
In verse 3, the disciples ask Jesus a question. "What will be the sign of the Lord's coming?" they asked. Here, the disciples did not ask in the plural form, "signs," but in the singular form: "What is the sign of the Lord's coming?" In response to this question, the Lord answered by using the word "sign" only twice. One is a sign created by Satan, and the other is a sign sent by Jesus.
The first is Matthew 24:24. Many false prophets will arise and perform various signs to deceive even the elect.
The second is Matthew 24:30. Then the sign of the Son of Man will shine in the heavens. The sign of the Son of Man is the truth of "the Son of Man being in the earth for three days and three nights" (Matthew 16:1-4, Matthew 12:40).
People in this world are easily captivated by the various signs (miracles) performed by false prophets, cheering and going wild. However, regarding the actual coming of Jesus They pay no attention to the single sign, "three days and three nights."
Those who do not understand the message of "three days and three nights" will not be able to welcome the Son of Man.
The Cross on Wednesday and the Resurrection on Sunday (AD 30)—the truth is the sign of the Son of Man. Let us ardently study the Word to understand.
