Cutie: a Dog
March 29, 2018
What kind of music do you like?
Do you think that animals like music, too?
On TV, I watched a unique test about whether the dog
likes music. At first, for the special test, the researchers choose four dogs that
have different bleeds. And then they put a special equipment on the each dog’s
body. Its principle is simple: that is, it is slimier to using a lie detector.
It catches the change of their pulses and feelings and then show us various
colors. While the dogs are exposed to the various music, they observe the dog’s
behaviors and changed colors.
When exposed to heavy metal music, the dogs start to
feel ill at ease and try to escape from the fence, even barking. The aurora
around them is displaying red.
While listening to one of the K-pops, ‘Kangnam Style’
by Psy, the screen shows us red and green colors. It means they coexist with
both excessive energy and peacefulness.
In classical music, they lose their energy rapidly and
start to doze off.
When they are in reggae, they show us the most active movements
wagging their tails. The color changes into green and blue. All the people conducting
the experiment are surprised at this sight.
If so, can the dogs really enjoy music?
Why do the dogs feel good in reggae?
From the experiment, they reach a conclusion that the
dogs get energy from 80 BPM (beats per minute), which is close to their pulses.
The BPM of reggae is exactly 80. Taking advantage of it, the producer made
music for the dog. I hope that the music can make the dogs really energetic and
happy.
