간접목적어(IO)와 직접목적어(DO)

목적어가 두 개인 경우 「S+V+IO+DO」의 어순으로 쓰며, 간접목적어를 뒤로 옮겨 「S+V+DO+전치사+ID」로 쓰기도 한다. ‘…에게 ～를’과 같은 식으로 해석한다. 간접목적어는 목적격 인칭대명사나 명사(구, 절)가 된다.

eg. They told me(IO) the whole story(DO).

      They told the whole story to me. 그들은 내게 전체 이야기를 말해주었다.
