미란:what is that?

이게뭐지?

가윤:Hello! I’m a capybara, a rodent living in South America.
안녕! 나는 남아메리카에 사는 설치류 동물 카피바라고해. 

I’m very sociable, so I have many animal friends.
나는 사교성이 좋아서 다양한 동물친구들이 많아. 

But lately, because of global warming, the number of my friends is declining.
근데 요즘 지구온난화로 인해 내 친구들의 숫자가 줄어들고 있어. 

I wish the Earth weren’t hurting…
지구가 아프지않았으면 좋겠는데...

Miran, can you help me?
미란아 너가 도와줄 수 있니?

미란: Alright. Let me help you fulfill your wish
그래 좋았어. 카피바라 내가 너를 도와줄게.

상황1

지현(쓰레기버리는사람): It shouldn’t matter if I dump it here, right?
여기다가 버려도 상관없겠지?

미란: Oh My gosh. You’re a bad person tormenting the Earth…
You’re going to need a taste of my paw.
오 이런. 지구를 괴롭히는 나쁜 사람이군…
나의 손 맛이 필요하겠어.

(미란이 초능력으로 쓰레기를 던진다.)

지현: Did you throw it at me?
너가 던진거야?

미란: I was just trying to give the trash back.
난 쓰레기를 다시 돌려주려고 했던것 뿐이야.

지현: What? Huh(가버린다)

미란: (도망가는 지현을 잡는다)

Hey, don’t ever dump trash carelessly again. And make sure you sort your recyclables, too. Just wait until I lay eyes on you.
야 너 앞으로 쓰레기 함부로 버리고 다니지 마. 그리고 분리수거도 하라고. 
내가 눈에 띄기만 해봐. 

지현:Okey.
알겠어.

상황2

미란:Wow, you really have a lot of clothes.
와 너 옷 정말 많다.

수현:No, I don’t have that many clothes.
아니야 나는 옷이 많이 없어.

There are still so many clothes I want to buy.
I want to get jeans and T-shirts, too.
아직 사고 싶은 옷이 너무나 많은걸?
청바지도 사고 싶고 티셔츠도 사고 싶어.

(수현이 인터넷으로 옷을 사려고 하자, 미란이 초능력으로 되돌림)

수현: Miran, what are you doing right now?
미란아, 지금 뭐하는거야?

미란: Making clothes consumes a lot of energy. And 33 billion items of clothing are thrown away every year. If you buy more than you need, that’s something that harms the Earth.
옷을 만드는데 많이 에너지가 소모돼. 그리고 1년에 버려지는 옷들의 양은 330억개야. 
필요이상으로 많이 사면 그건 지구를 괴롭히는 행동이야. 

수현: Oh, I see. I was harming the Earth. I’m sorry. I’m not going to buy any more clothes
그렇구나. 내가 지구를 괴롭히고 있었구나. 
미안해. 앞으로 옷을 사지 않을게.

(카피바라에게 영상편지가 온다.)

카피바라: Miran, thanks to you our friends are safe.
미란아 너 덕분에 우리 친구들이 무사해. 

I’m really grateful. It’s such a blessing to have someone like you who cares about the Earth.
정말 고마워. 너같이 지구를 생각해주는 사람이 있다는건 행운이야. 

Well, I’m off to go hang out with my friends.
그럼 이만 난 친구들이랑 놀러 가볼게. 

미란: I saved the Earth? That’s really awesome! From now on, I’m going to keep protecting the Earth.
내가 지구를 구했다니. 정말 멋진걸? 앞으로도 나는 지구를 지키도록 하겠어
