Bible Reading - Proverbs 11:12~21

11:12 A man who lacks judgment derides(조롱,조소하다) his neighbor, 

판단이 결여된 자는 그의 이웃을 조롱하나

but a man of understanding holds his tongue. 명철한 사람은 그의 혀를 붙드느니라.

11:13 A gossip betrays a confidence, 소문은 신뢰를 배신하나

but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.신뢰할 수 있는 사람은 비밀을 지킨다.

11:14 For lack of guidance a nation falls, 지도가 부족하면 나라가 망하나

but many advisers make victory sure. 많은 조언자들은 확실히 승리하게 한다.

11:15 He who puts up security for another will surely suffer, 

다른 사람을 위하여 보증을 선 자는 반드시 고통을 당할 것이나 

but whoever refuses to strike hands in pledge is safe.

누구든지 맹세를 거부하는 사람은 안전하다.

11:16 A kindhearted woman gains respect, 친절한 마음을 가진 여자는 존경을 받을 것이나 

but ruthless men gain only wealth.무자비한 사람은 오직 부만 얻는다.

11:17 A kind man benefits himself, 친절한 사람은 자신에게 이롭지만 

but a cruel man brings trouble on himself. 잔인한 사람은 그 자신에게 문제를 가져온다.

11:18 The wicked man earns deceptive wages, 악한 사람은 기만적인 삯을 얻을 것이나 

but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. 의를 뿌리는 자는 확실한 상을 거둘 것이다. 

11:19 The truly righteous man attains life, 진실로 의로운 사람은 생명을 얻으나(달성하나) 

but he who pursues evil goes to his death. 악을 쫓은 자는 죽음에 이른다.

11:20 The LORD detests men of perverse heart 여호와께서는 삐뚤어진 마음을 가진 사람을 미워하시나

but he delights in those whose ways are blameless. 그는 흠잡을 데 없는 길을 가는 사람들을 기뻐하신다.

11:21 Be sure of this: 이것을 꼭 알아두어라.

The wicked will not go unpunished, 악한 자는 벌을 받지 아니할 수 없나니

but those who are righteous will go free. 의로운 자들은 자유로울 것이다.
