Caracal Productions & Club COD Present SQUEEZE!!! with DJ Shinkawa, Go-Go Boys : Ichi & Koba, VJ Stupid, & Mulwaxx August 7th Sat 2004 @ Club Cod DJ Shinkawa(www.djshinkawa.com) DJ SHINKAWA는일본의 전설적인 클럽인 Gold의 「THE PRIVATE PARTY」에서 DJ로 데뷰를 했으며 UK HARD HOUSE를 베이스로 한 여러 가지 장르의 음악을 융화시켜 DJ SHINKAWA라고 하는 독자적인 스타일을 확립,현재 일본의 클럽 씬을 이야기 할 때 빼놓을 수 없는 인물이다. 현재 그의 플레이는 HARD HOUSE라고 하는 장르를 넘어서서 대중적으로 폭넓은 지지를 받아 세계를 무대로 하여 2000년에는 런던을 대표하는 클럽인 The Fridge를 포함한 3 개의 클럽에서 메인 DJ로활동, 2002년 5월에는 1개월에 걸친 중국투어를 감행하여 일대 센세이션을 일으켰으며 또한 같은 네덜란드 암스테르담의 「Melkweg」에서 행해진 유럽최대의 Free Party인 「HQ」에서의 플레이는 열광적인 평가를 받아 인종, 문화, 국경을 넘어선 아티스트로서의 SHINKAWA의 위치를 확고히 하였다. 음악제작도 정력적으로 행하여 Future Breeze와 합작하여 2003년 6월에 발표한 「The Moon」은 일본 클럽씬에서 뿐 만이 아니고 전세계적으로 초 히트곡이 되기도 했다. 현재 그는 동경의 레귤러 이벤트이며 또한 일본국내에서도 널리 이름이 알려진 「Cross Over」、첫 번째 일요일의 약속「Cycle After Hours」(＠Maniac Love）、오사카에서도 Under Lounge의 「Warp Da Disco」 에서 메인 레지덴트DJ로 활동하고 있으며 또한 2003년 2월 자신의 이름을 파티타이틀로 내건 프로젝트인 「Club Shinkawa」를 롯퐁기 Velfare에서 시작、2004년 5월 DJ SHINKAWA의 키워드이기도 한 “HYBRID”를 테마로 하여「CLUB SHINKAWA “HYRID”」를 시작하면서 더더욱 정력적으로 활동을 하고 있다. DJ Shinkawa may not be a name of every UK Jocks lips yet, but in his native Japan his name is synonymous with Underground Quality hard dance music, and he is the undoubted Leader in his field. Not only has he already made forays into the international sphere, but he has also enjoyed the major label support of almost every Japanese domestic label, and now domestically sits alongside Yoji Biomehanika as one of only two Japanese Avex Trax Dance Artists. Shinkawa began DJing ten years ago at the start of the Japanese club culture at Gold and then in his early twenties went to London to “study English”. Instead of English Shinkawa spent every weekend studying the Turntable technique of Tony DeVit and his peers at the heyday of the then Superclub Trade, He returned to Japan inspired to begin First Hard House Clubs long before hard house was a dirty word, and since that day through 7years has risen to dominance of the Japanese Hard Dance scene, never failing to draw crowds with his incredible mix of hard house, techno and trance. Like the best of the Hard DJ’s from the UK, like Fergie. Jules, Tiesto and Picotto, Shinkawa’s music is identifiable not by its genre, but through the unique combination of kick drum and bass; a combination that lets you know its “Shinkawa time” and drives your feet to the dance floor for a night you will never forget.
