11:22 Like a gold ring in a pig's snout(코)

is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion(분별력).

아름다운 여인이 분별력을 보이지 않는 것은 돼지 코에 금걸이를 끼운 것과 같다.

11:23 The desire of the righteous ends only in good, 의인의 소원은 오직 선에서 끝나지만

but the hope of the wicked only in wrath. 악한 자의 희망은 오직 분노로 끝난다.

11:24 One man gives freely, yet gains even more;

어떤 사람은 기꺼이 베풀어도 기꺼이 더 얻고 

another withholds(억누르다) unduly(과도하게), but comes to poverty(가난해진다).

또 다른 사람은 지나치게 아끼다가 가난해진다.

11:25 A generous man will prosper; 너그러운 사람은 번영할 것이다.

he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.

다른 사람을 기분 좋게 하는 사람은 자신도 기분 좋게 될 것입니다.

11:26 People curse the man who hoards(저장하다) grain,

사람들은 곡식을 쌓아두는 사람을 저주하나

but blessing crowns(관을 씌우다) him who is willing to sell.

복은 팔려고 하는 자에게 주어진다(왕관을 씌워준다).

11:27 He who seeks good finds goodwill(호의), 선을 추구하는 자는 호의를 얻으나

but evil comes to him who searches for it. 악은 그것을 찾는 자에게 온다.

11:28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, 자기의 재물을 의지하는 자는 멸망할 것이나

but the righteous will thrive(번창하다. 번영하다) like a green leaf.

의로운 자는 푸른 잎사귀처럼 번성할 것이다.

11:29 He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, 

가족에게 문제를 가져오는 사람은 오직 바람만 상속받고

and the fool will be servant to the wise. 어리석은 자는 현명한 사람의 종이 될 것이다.

11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,

의인의 열매는 생명의 나무이며

and he who wins souls is wise. 영혼을 얻는 자는 현명하다.

11:31 If the righteous receive their due on earth,

만일 의로운 자가 땅에서 마땅히 그들이 받을 것을 받으면 

how much more the ungodly and the sinner!

하물며 불경건한 자들과 죄인들은 얼마나 더욱더 그럴 것인가!
