아리조나 투바시티에서 원주민들을 섬기는 이영호, 이선옥 선교사입니다.

Greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is pastor Young & Sun Lee who're serving Native Americans in Tuba City Arizona.

지난 1월 소식을 한국 방문 중 형편이 여의치 않아 보내드리지 못해서 2025년 들어 첫 소식을 보내드리게 되었습니다.

저희 부부는 1월 14일 집을 떠나 캘리포니아에서 일박 후 한국을 방문하고 2월 18일 로스앤젤레스로 귀국, 두어 교회와 선교상담을 한 후 24일 집 떠난 지 41일 만에 투바시티 집으로 돌아왔습니다.

저희 사역이 팀사역이라기 보다는 아직도 저희 부부의 개인적인 사역 수준에 머묾으로 짧지 않은 기간의 외유로 인해 현지의 모든 사역을 (대체인력이 없어서) 중단할 수밖에 없었던 것이 자못 아쉽습니다만... 이 문제는 해결의 실마리를 찾기 어려운 것이 또한 사실임을 인정하지 않을 수 없군요.

어쨌거나 공무(公務)를 잘 감당할 수 있어 다행이었고, 저희들을 사랑으로 용납하시고 격려해주신 한국의 가족들과 친지들에게 깊이 감사드리며 나그네를 영접해주신 그 귀한 사랑에 하나님의 기뻐하심이 함께 하시기를 바랍니다.

저희도 귀한 사랑 잊지 않고 이곳에서 주님과 그 백성 섬기는 일에 최선을 다하도록 노력하겠습니다.

특히 저의 고향교회(개화동교회, 일명 꽃피는 마을 교회) 방문은 처음이 아니었음에도 불구하고 더더욱 감정적이었던 것은 (울었습니다.) 아마도 나이 먹어감의 징조가 아닌가 싶기도 합니다.

게다가 이미 잘 알고 있었던 BMW(Bus, Metro, Walk) 대중교통도 자못 힘겨웠으니 이 또한???

그 이상의 자세한 한국방문기는 마음속에 추억으로 남겨놓도록 하겠습니다.

돌아오니 처리해야 할 많은 일들이 기다리고 있어서 아직은 경황중이지만 이곳에서의 제 일상이 역시 제 삶의 본류임을 알게 됩니다.

This is the first news letter in the year 2025 since I had skipped in January due to the conditions while we were in Korea.

I and my wife left home on January 14, stayed one night in California, went to Korea the next day, came back to Los Angeles on February 18, met a couple of mission teams for ministry talks, and came back home on 24 in 41 days.

I am sorry for all the local ministries had to stop because our ministry is more of individual rather than team ministry (which means no substitute).

But for now, it is true that there is no easy solution for this problem.

Also very thankful for those business related issues were solved without complication, and for those families and friends who treated us with love and encouragements.

May the God's pleasure be with them who welcomed wayfarers.

We will try to do our best serving the LORD and His people here.

It was very emotional that (I cried.) visiting my home church (KaeHwaDong Church, which means Church in the Blooming Town) even it was not the first time ever as a sign of my aging?

Also BMW (Bus, Metro, Walk; public transportation) was very challenging than ever...

I will keep much more details in my heart to cherish.

I found many things were waiting for my attention on my return and keep me occupied but realized that this is my main life for now.

목회 사역

1월 한 달간 Bitter Springs Baptist에서 두 번 말씀을 전했습니다.

전한 주제들은 선교카페에 올리고 있습니다.

말씀사역은 이번 주일(3월 2일)에 재개됩니다.

1월 11일 저희 두 재단(Christian Life Ministry와 First People Youth Academy)의 이사회가 성료되었음도 알려드립니다.

Pastoral Ministries

I shared 2 messages in Bitter Springs Baptist Church in January.

I journal what I am sharing in the Mission Cafe.

Pulpit ministry will be resume this Sunday (March 2).

Also the Board Meetings of Christian Life Ministry and First People Youth Academy have been successfully completed on January 11 2025.

장마당사역: 무료 침치료 및 문서사역

12월 13일 사역을 마지막으로 동계 휴진(休診)에 들어갔는데 이제 3월 7일에 재개할 예정입니다.

한국방문 중 이동사역 버스가 시동이 걸리지 않는다는 소식을 듣고 걱정했었는데 다행히 탈진된 배터리를 재충전하고 차량청소 및 커튼세탁 등 사역준비를 완료하였습니다.

안도(安堵)하게 하시는 하나님께 감사드립니다.

Market Ministry with Free Acupuncture and Booklet Ministry

We will resume the ministry on March 7 after the winter break which was begun at December 13 2024.

I was concerned hearing the mobile bus was not starting the engine while I was in Korea but revived the dead battery, cleaned and washed curtains so we now are prepared.

Thank God for a big relief.

방과후학교 무술지도 사역

이 사역도 3월 4일부터 재개할 계획입니다.

저의 외유로 인해 많은 장애가 있었지만 주어진 형편 안에서 최선을 다할 생각입니다.

After-School Martial Arts Class Ministry

We will resume this ministry in March 4 2025.

We will do our best in spite of many short-comings.
