1. (고라의 아들들을 위해 악장에게 준 노래와 시) 만백성아, 너희는 다 이것을 들으라. 세상의 모든 거주민들아,

    너희는 귀를 기울이라.

, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. Hear this, all [ye] people; give ear, all [ye] inhabitants of the world: 

2. 낮은 자나 높은 자나 부한 자나 가난한 자나 함께 들을지어다.

Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

3. 내 입이 지혜를 말하리니 내 마음의 묵상이 명철이 되리로다.

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart [shall be] of understanding.

4. 내가 비유에 내 귀를 기울이고 하프를 타며 나의 은밀한 말을 열리로다.

I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

5. 내 발꿈치의 불법이 나를 에워쌀 그 악한 때에 내가 어찌 두려워하랴?

Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, [when] the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?

6. 자기 재물을 신뢰하고 자기의 많은 부를 자랑하는 자들 중에

They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

7. 어떤 방법으로든 자기 형제를 구속하거나 그를 위해 [하나님]께 대속물을 바쳐서

None [of them] can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

8. (그들의 혼을 구속하는 일은 귀중하며 그것은 영원토록 멈추어 있도다.)

of their soul [is] precious, and it ceaseth for ever:

9. 그가 여전히 영원토록 살게 하며 썩음을 보지 아니하게 할 자는 아무도 없도다.

That he should still live for ever, [and] not see corruption.

10. 지혜로운 자들이 죽고 어리석은 자와 짐승 같은 자도 그와 같이 멸망하여 자기 재물을 남들에게 남기는 것을 그가

      보는도다.

For he seeth [that] wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

11. 그들은 속으로 자기들의 집들은 영원히 지속되며 자기들이 거하는 처소들은 모든 세대에 이를 줄로 생각하는도다.

      그러므로 그들이 자기들의 이름을 따라 자기들의 땅을 부르는도다.

Their inward thought [is, that] their houses [shall continue] for ever, [and] their dwelling places to all generations; they call [their] lands after their own names. 

12. 그럼에도 불구하고 존귀함 중에 거하는 사람이 계속 머무르지 못하나니 그는 멸망하는 짐승과 같도다.

Nevertheless man [being] in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts [that] perish.

13. 이처럼 그들의 길이 곧 그들의 어리석은 일이로되 그들의 후손은 여전히 그들의 말에 찬동하는도다. 셀라.

This their way [is] their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah. 

14. 그들이 양같이 무덤에 놓였은즉 사망이 그들을 먹을 것이요, 곧바른 자들이 아침에 그들을 지배하리니 그들의

      아름다움이 그들의 거처를 떠나 무덤에서 소멸되리로다.

Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. 

15. 그러나 [하나님]께서 내 혼을 무덤의 권능에서 구속하시리니 그분께서 나를 받아 주시리로다. 셀라.

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. 

16. 사람이 부하게 되고 그의 집의 영광이 늘어날 때에 너는 두려워하지 말라.

Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;

17. 그가 죽을 때에 아무것도 가져가지 못하며 그의 영광이 그를 따라 내려가지 못하리라.

For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

18. 그가 비록 살면서 자기 혼을 축복하였을지라도 네가 네 자신에게 잘 행하면 사람들이 너를 칭찬하리로다.

Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and [men] will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. 

19. 그가 자기 조상들의 세대에게로 가리니 그들이 결코 빛을 보지 못하리로다.

He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. 

20. 존귀함 중에 거하는 사람이라도 깨닫지 못하면 멸망하는 짐승과 같도다.

Man [that is] in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts [that] perish.
