참부모경 - 383. 세계평화청년연합 창설과 남북세미나

1994년 7월 26일 163개국 대표들이 참석한 가운데 미국 워싱턴DC에서 세계평화청년연합 창립총회가 개최되었다. 한국에서 1995년 2월 22일 사회단체로 등록된 세계평화청년연합은 좌우익의 이념을 초월해 화해와 이타주의적 정신에 기반을 둔 참된 공동체를 지향하고 있다. 세계평화청년연합은 중국 베이징에서 남북한 대학생들이 참석한 가운데 수차례에 걸쳐 평화 세미나를 개최하는 등 남북한 청년 교류에 크게 기여하였다. 또한 세계 각국에 지부를 두고 청소년 순결캠페인, 에이즈 예방교육 등 다양한 활동을 전개하였다.
 
16 모스크바에서 세계평화를 위한 국제대학생지도자 세미나를 하던 때가 1994년 2월이었는데, 이 대회를 하자고 할 때 모두가 ‘내년 봄이 오기전에는 추워서 못합니다.’라고 하는 것을 내가 ‘나라가 망하고 죽는데 겨울이 어디 있어! 죽고 망하는 일은 겨울에도 찾아오는 거야. 모스크바가 아무리 춥더라도 빨리 서둘러야 돼! 베이징 대회도 음력 6월을 넘기면 큰일 난다.’라고 해서 대회를 한 것입니다. 세계평화청년연합도 원래는 서둘러서 1994년 6월에 창립하려고 했는데 연기해서 7월 26일에 창립하는 것입니다. 그리고 미국에서는 대학가와 연결해서 3천 개의 대학에서 강연했습니다. 대학원리연구회 조직권 내에 집어넣는 것입니다. 한국도 200개 대학을 대학원리연구회 조직권 내에 집어넣으라는 것입니다. 그 목적은 남북통일입니다. 북한 대학생, 남한 대학생만으로는 안 됩니다. 미국 대학생들과 러시아 대학생들과 중국 대학생들과 일본 대학생들을 동원하지 않고서는 안 된다는 것입니다.
 
17 세계평화연합 창설대회에서 전 미국 국무장관인 알렉산더 헤이그가 연설했는데, 그때 그를 내 방에 불러서 얘기했습니다. ‘내가 러시아의 똑똑한 청년들과 미국 최고 대학의 학생들을 교육해서 세계청년연합회를 만들려고 하니 당신도 만드는 데 협조하시오!’라고 했더니 군인출신답게 틀림없이 그렇게 하겠다고 했습니다. 그래서 지금 그것에 대한 계획을 세우고 있습니다. 미국의 대학생들과 러시아의 대학생들을 중심삼고 자유세계와 공산세계로서 사상적 대치를 해 나오던 대표적인 두 국가의 젊은 청년들로 대열을 만들어 놓는 것입니다. 그런 다음에는 방학 때만 되면 세계 각국의 대학교에 가서 교육하는 것입니다. 그러면 이것이 세계적인 문제가 되기 때문에 몇몇 대표적인 신문에 소감문을 게재하면 반드시 많은 대학생들이 몰려드는 것입니다. 그러면 각국의 일류 대학을 중심삼고 세계청년연합, 대학생연합회를 만들 수 있습니다.
 
18 세계평화청년연합에는 대학생과 중고등학생, 17세 이상은 전부 들어갑니다. 그래서 모든 것을 대학가를 중심삼고 실천하는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 여성연합은 지금 살고 있는 동네의 아들딸들이 다니는 중고등학교와 대학교를 찾아다니면서 교육해야 됩니다. 2세들을 수습하라는 것입니다. 그래서 여성연합을 앞에 내세워서 대학가와 중고등학교의 사상적 이론화, 기독교문화권 이론화운동을 전개하는 것입니다.
 
19 45세부터 50세 연령의 사람들은 대학교를 졸업하고 사회에 나가 한창 활동하는 중진들입니다. 이들만 잡으면 세계는 돌아가는 것입니다. 대학생까지는 횡적으로 가정에 묶여 있습니다. 이제는 이 초등학생 중고등학생 대학생들을 종적으로 묶어야 됩니다. 이들과 사회인, 대학 졸업자들까지 국가적으로 묶어야 됩니다. 그래야 세계와 묶어지게 됩니다. 초등학생 중고등학생 대학생들은 가정의 어머니 품에서 들락날락하는 것입니다. 대학 졸업자들은 국가의 품으로 들어간 입장입니다. 이것은 종적입니다. 초등학생 중고등학생 대학생들은 국가 기반입니다. 이들을 세계 기반에서 세계평화청년연합으로 연결하여 모든 국가를 끌고 가야 됩니다. 그것을 위해서는 2세를 전도해야 됩니다. 그래서 전 세계통일교회는 대학교를 기지로 해서 전도해야 됩니다. 그다음에는 대학교를 중심삼고 동창회를 움직이는 활동을 전개해야 됩니다. 그것이 금후에 우리가 세계를 수습할 수 있는 제일 첩경이라고 봅니다.
 
20 세계평화청년엽합 회원은 종적인 가정․국가․세계․천주를 연하는 전통을 참부모님으로부터 이어받아 지상천국 근간이 되며 전체 환경에서 모범이 되어 발전적 역사를 유지해 나가야 됩니다. 인류의 상중하시대를 연결하여 직선적 종적 전통을 생활권에서 확립해야 됩니다. 상중하시대는 노년시대, 중년시대, 소년시대를 말합니다. 노년층의 신뢰를 받고 청소년층의 모범이 되어야 합니다. 청년들은 가정과 학교를 떠난 것이 아니라 새로운 가정과 새로운 학교교육의 결실체로서 가정과 사회에서 책임을 지고 교시하는 자가 되어야 합니다. 청년들은 가정천국 이념을 완성하여 도의적 세계 구현에 중심 생애를 바쳐야 하고 심신일체 생활의 중심적 표본이 되어 국가 공익을 항상 추구하여야 합니다.
 
21 세계평화청년연합이 중요한 단체가 됩니다. 청년들은 졸업생들입니다. 그렇기 때문에 학교와 동떨어져 있습니다. 사회에 나가서도 학교의 후배들이 자랑할 수 있는 조직을 만들어야 됩니다. 그래야 올바른 졸업생이 되고 칭찬을 받을 수 있습니다. 그래서 원리연구회와 졸업생이 일체를 이뤄야 됩니다. 그리고 동창들을 동화시켜야 됩니다. 자기 마을에 동창생이 있으면 그 동네의 주력부대로 만들어 계몽을 하고 민도를 높이는 일을 해야 됩니다. 그리고 좌익사상을 대치할 수 있는 철저한 교육을 해야 됩니다. 북한과 대치하고 있기 때문에 앞으로 사상투쟁을 해야 됩니다. 통일이 됐더라도 사상투쟁이 불가피하기 때문에 준비해야 됩니다. 그렇기 때문에 공산주의에 대처할 수 있는 교육을 서둘러야 되겠습니다.
 
22 국가를 새롭게 발전시킬 수 있는 방법은 청년 재교육, 가정윤리 확립 이외에는 없습니다. 그래서 유엔대학을 만들려고 하는 것입니다. 그리고 대학연맹을 만들어 어느 종단을 중심삼은 큰 대학도 이번에 코디악에 불러서 전부 같은 학제로 편성해서 원하는 대학의 졸업장을 몇 개도 줄 수 있도록 해서 세계의 지도자를 만들자고 얘기했습니다. 국경 민족 인종을 초월한 자리에서 세계를 하나님 대신 개혁할 수 있는 지도자를 만들자는 운동이 세계평화청년연합입니다.
 
23 오랜 기간 동안 세계평화를 실현하기 위하여 많은 기구를 창설해 왔습니다. 세계평화여성연합, 세계대학원리연구회, 세계종교회의, 세계평화를 위한 정상회의, 국제과학통일회의, 세계언론인회의 그리고 세계평화교수협의회가 그것입니다. 이제 오늘 인류 구원의 선봉에 서기 위해 세계평화청년연합을 창설하는 것입니다. 본인은 젊은이로 하여금 하나님과 가족과 국가를 사랑하고 최고의 도덕적 기준으로 살아가도록 하기 위해 나의 모든 정열을 다할 것입니다. 보다 구체적으로 세계평화교수협의회와 위성시스템을 연결하여 국제교육고속도로를 만들 것입니다. 이것은 세계의 모든 젊은이들에게 최고의 교육기회를 제공해 줄 것입니다. 본인은 164개 모든 회원국들이 젊은이들의 정신 도덕의 회복을 위한 교육프로그램에 동참할 것을 촉구하는 바입니다. 세계평화청년연합을 대표하여 우리 모두 사랑과 평화의 세계 창건을 위해 정진합시다. 본인은 여러분의 지지를 통하여 하나님의 축복이 영원히 함께할 제3 지복천년(至福千年)을 이룰 수 있음을 확신합니다.

一九九四年七月二十六日、百六十三ヵ国の代表たちが参加する中、アメリカのワシント ンDCで「世界平和青年連合」創立総会が開催された。韓国で、一九九五年二月二十二日に社会団体として登録された「世界平和青年連合」は、左翼と右翼の理 念を超越し、和解と利他主義的精神に基づいた真の共同体を志向している。「世界平和青年連合」は、中国の北京で韓国と北朝鮮の大学生たちが参加する中、数 回にわたって平和セミナーを開催するなど、韓国と北朝鮮の青少年交流に大きく寄与した。また、世界各国に支部を置き、青少年純潔キャンぺーン、エイズ予防 教育など、多様な活動を展開している。

16    モスクワで世界平和のための国際大学生指導者セミナーを行ったのが一九九四年二月でしたが、この大会をやろうと言った時、皆が「来年の春になるまでは寒く てできません」と言うので、私が「国が滅んで死ぬというのに、冬が何だというのか！滅亡と死は冬でも訪れてくる。モスクワがいくら寒くても、急がなければ ならない！北京大会も陰暦の六月を過ぎてしまえば大変なことになる」と言って、大会をしたのです。

「世界平和青年連合」も、本来は急いで一九九四年六月に創立しようとしたのですが、延期して七月二十六日に創立するのです。

そして、アメリカでは大学と連結し、三千の大学で講演をしました。大学原理研究会の組織圏内に放り込むのです。韓国でも、二百の大学を大学原理研究 会の組織圏内に入れなさいというのです。その目的は南北統一です。北朝鮮の大学生と韓国の大学生だけではできません。アメリカの大学生とロシアの大学生、 中国の大学生、日本の大学生を動員しなければ、できないというのです。

17    「世界平和連合」の創設大会で、アメリカの元国務長官のアレクサンダー・ヘイグが演説したのですが、その時、彼を私の部屋に呼んで話をしました。「私がロ シアの賢い青年たちとアメリカ最高の大学の学生たちを教育して、世界青年連合会をつくろうと考えているので、あなたも協力しなさい！」と言うと、いかにも 軍人出身らしく、「間違いなくそのようにします」と言いました。それで今、それに対する計画を立てています。

アメリカの大学生たちとロシアの大学生たちを中心に、自由世界と共産世界として、思想的に対峙してきた代表的な二つの国家の若い青年たちで隊列を組 んでおくのです。そのようにしてから、長期休みの期間になれば、世界各国の大学に行って教育するのです。そうすると、これが世界的な問題になるので、いく つかの代表的な新聞に感想文を掲載すれば、必ず多くの大学生が押し寄せてくるのです。そのようになれば、各国の一流大学を中心として、「世界青年連合」や 「大学生連合会」をつくることができるのです。

18    「世界平和青年連合」には、大学生と中高生、十七歳(数え)以上はすべて入ります。そうして、大学を中心としてすべてのことを実践するのです。ですから、 女性連合は、今住んでいる町の息子、娘たちが通う中学、高校、大学を訪ねて回りながら、教育しなければなりません。二世たちを収拾しなさいというのです。 そうして、女性連合を前に立てて、大学と中学、高校の思想的な理論教化(を行い)、キリスト教文化圏の理論教化運動を展開するのです。

19    四十五歳から五十歳の年齢の人たちは、大学を卒業したあと社会に出て、最も活動している重鎮たちです。彼らさえ掌握すれば、世界は回っていくのです。大学 生までは横的に家庭に縛られています。今からこの小学生、中高生、大学生たちを縦的に束ねなければなりません。彼らと社会人、大学卒業者たちまで、国家的 に束ねなければなりません。そうしてこそ、世界と一つにまとめることができるようになります。

小学生、中高生、大学生たちは、家庭の母親の懐を出たり入ったりします。大学卒業者たちは、国家の懐に入った立場です。これは縦的です。小学生、中 高生、大学生たちは、国家基盤です。彼らを世界基盤で、「世界平和青年連合」に連結し、すべての国家を率いていかなければなりません。

そのためには、二世を伝道しなければなりません。ですから、全世界の統一教会は、大学を基地にして伝道しなければならないのです。その次には、大学 を中心として、同窓会を動かす活動を展開しなければなりません。それが、今後、私たちが世界を収拾できる一番の近道だと考えるのです。

20    「世界平和青年連合」の会員は、縦的な家庭、国家、世界、天宙を連ねる伝統を真の父母様から受け継ぎ、地上天国の根幹となり、環境全体に模範となって、発展的歴史を維持していかなければなりません。

人類の上中下時代を連結し、直線的な縦的伝統を生活圏で確立しなければなりません。上中下時代とは、老年時代、中年時代、少年時代を言います。老年 層の信頼を得て、青少年層の模範にならなければなりません。青年たちは家庭と学校を離れるのではなく、新しい家庭と新しい学校教育の結実体として、家庭と 社会で責任をもち、教示する人にならなければなりません。青年たちは、家庭天国理念を完成し、道義的世界の具現に生涯の中心を捧げなければならず、心身一 体生活の中心的標本となって、国家の公益を常に追求しなければなりません。

21    「世界平和青年連合」が重要な団体になります。青年たちは卒業生です。ですから、学校とは距離があります。社会に出ていっても、学校の後輩たちが誇ること ができる組織をつくらなければなりません。そのようにしてこそ、正しい卒業生となり、称賛を受けられるのです。そうして、原理研究会と卒業生が一体になら なければなりません。また、同窓たちを同化させなければなりません。自分の村に同窓生がいれば、その村の主力部隊にして啓蒙し、民度を高める活動をしなけ ればなりません。そして、左翼思想に対峙できる徹底した教育をしなければなりません。北朝鮮と対峙しているので、これから思想闘争をしなければならないの です。統一が成し遂げられたとしても、思想闘争は避けられないため、準備しなければなりません。ですから、共産主義に対抗できるよう教育を急がなければな らないのです。

22    国家を新たに発展させる方法は、青年の再教育、家庭倫理の確立以外にはありません。ですから、国連大学をつくろうとしているのです。そして、大学連盟をつ くって、どの教団を中心とした大きな大学であっても今回コディアクに呼び、「すべて同じ学制で編成して、希望する大学の卒業証書を何枚でもあげられるよう にし、世界的指導者に育てよう」と話しました。国境、民族、人種を超越した場で、世界を神様の代わりに改革できる指導者をつくろうという運動が、「世界平 和青年連合」です。

23    長い間、世界平和を実現するために、多くの機関を創設してきました。「世界平和女性連合」、「世界大学原理研究会」、「世界宗教会議」、「世界平和のため の頂上会議」、「科学の統一に関する国際会議」、「世界言論人会議」、そして、「世界平和教授アカデミー」がそれです。

今や、今日の人類の救いの先鋒に立つために、「世界平和青年連合」を創設するのです。私は、若者が神様と家族と国家を愛し、最高の道徳的基準によっ て生きていけるようにするため、私のすべての清熱を尽くします。より具体的に「世界平和教授アカデミー」と衛星システムを連結し、国際教育高速道路をつく ります。これは、世界のすべての若者たちに、最高の教育の機会を提供してくれるでしょう。私は、百六十四ヵ国のすべての会員国が、若者の精神道徳の回復の ための教育プログラムに同参することを促します。「世界平和青年連合」を代表し、私たちはみな、愛と平和の世界創建のために精進していきましょう。私は皆 さんの支持を通して、神様の祝福が永遠に共にある、第三の至福千年を成し遂げることができると確信します。

Youth Federation for World Peace With participants from 163 nations, the inaugural assembly of the Youth Federation for World Peace was held in Washington, DC, on July 26, 1994. The Youth Federation for World Peace, which registered as a social organization in Korea on February 22, 1995, transcends left-wing and right-wing viewpoints and aims to build harmony and cultivate altruism. It made a great contribution in promoting exchanges among young people through activities such as a series of peace seminars in Beijing, where North Korean students participated. The Federation has branches around the world that carry out activities, including campaigns for youth purity and education on preventing AIDS. (265-159, 1994/11/20)
 
16 It was in February of 1994 that the International Student Leaders Seminar for World Peace was held in Moscow. At that time everyone told me, "It's too cold. We cannot do it until spring." I responded, "What does it matter if it is winter when the nation is about to perish? The fall of a nation does not stop just because it's winter. It does not matter how cold Moscow is. We must hurry. We must hold the Beijing rally before the 6th month of the lunar calendar. Otherwise, I foresee great trouble." The establishment of The Youth Federation for World Peace was also scheduled for June of that year, but it was delayed for about one month, until July 26, 1994. We gave lectures at 3,000 American universities. We brought them into the CARP network. Korea should also work to include its 200 universities in the CARP network. The goal is the unification of Korea. It will not happen through just the students of North and South Korea. It cannot be accomplished unless we also mobilize the students of America, the Soviet Union, China and Japan. (262-176, 1994/07/23)
 
17 Alexander Haig, the former US Secretary of State, gave a speech at the inaugural assembly of the Youth Federation for World Peace. I invited him to my room to have a conversation. I told him, "I am trying to create a Youth Federation for World Peace by educating students at top American universities and intelligent young scholars from the Soviet Union. Please cooperate with me." He answered like a true soldier, saying that he would be willing to do so. So now I am making plans for this. I am trying to create parallel youth groups in these nations that represent the free and communist worlds, which have been engaged in an ideological war. They can spread these teachings to universities around the world during their vacations. If this reaches the world level, and if newspapers in various nations publish their letters of reflection, more college students will flock to this cause. We then will be able to create a world federation of young people and of university students in the top universities around the world. (226-241, 1992/02/05)
 
18 All university students, high school and middle school students, aged 17 and older will join the Youth Federation for World Peace. That is why we are carrying out this work on university campuses. The Women s Federation members must visit the universities, middle schools and high schools that their sons and daughters attend, and they must educate the students. They must take care of the second generation. Accordingly, after the Womens Federation reaches the forefront, they must engage in philosophical education activities in middle and high schools and universities, and reach the entire Christian cultural realm. 19 There are many prominent figures between the ages of 45 and 50, who have graduated from college and are active in society. When we can win them over, everything will be solved. University students are still tied to their families horizontally. We now have to bind together students of all ages, making them one vertically. Then members of society and university graduates have to unite on the national level in order connect to the world. In other words, students in elementary, middle and high schools and universities are still tied to their mothers' bosoms and live within the boundary of their families. University graduates are in the bosom of their country. The process is vertical.

Students in elementary, middle and high schools and universities are the foundation of the nation. The Youth Federation for World Peace will have to bring them together on a worldwide foundation. In this way, we have to lead the nations of the world. To achieve this, we must witness to second-generation young people. Therefore, members of the Unification Church around the world should focus their witnessing on university campuses. After that, they have to expand their activities to the alumni associations. 20 Members of the Youth Federation for World Peace have to inherit from True Parents the traditions linking the families, nations, world and cosmos vertically, and lay the foundation for building heaven on earth. They should be exemplary in all environments, thereby preserving the positive development of history. Connecting to the three stages of life, they must establish linear, vertical traditions in their lives. The three periods of a person s life are referred to as youth, middle age and old age. You have to gain the trust of the older generation and be a model for the younger generation. Young people should not abandon their old homes or schools, but as the fruits of a new family and a new system of education, they must take responsibility for their families and society as teachers. They must fulfill the ideal of heaven in their families and dedicate their lives to substantiating a moral world. By becoming role models whose minds and bodies are united, they must always pursue the public good. (262-320, 1994/08/01)
 
21 The Youth Federation for World Peace is becoming an important organization. Young people are recent graduates, so they are still close to their schools. When they move out into society, they should be exemplary graduates worthy of praise, and form organizations that their younger college friends can take pride in. The alumni and CARP members must attain oneness, and reach out to fellow students and alumni. If there is an alum living in their village, they should educate him or her to raise the cultural level and living standard of the village. Thorough education that can confront left-wing ideology must also be implemented. As we are facing a showdown with North Korea, we will be waging ideological warfare. Ideological struggle is inevitable even after unification. We must prepare. We have to speed up our education in order to combat communism. (261-253, 1994/06/19)
 
22 There is no way to renew and develop the nation except through the re-education of its youth and the establishment of family ethics. That is why I am planning to open a UN university. I am planning to create a university alliance and invite the presidents of the prominent religious-affiliated universities to visit Kodiak at this time, where I will help them organize a con sistent educational system. They should nurture world leaders by conferring degrees in strategic disciplines. The Youth Federation for World Peace aims to produce leaders who represent God and are capable of transcending racial, ethnic and national boundaries to reform the world. (262-114, 1994/07/23)


23 I founded the Youth Federation for World Peace to stand at the forefront for the cause of the salvation of humankind. I will do my utmost with all my passion to teach young people to love God, their family and their country, and to live with the highest moral standards. More specifically, I will create an international education highway by linking the Professors World Peace Academy by satellite. This will provide the best educational opportunities for all young people in the world. I urge all of you here today, from 164 nations, to join a program that trains young people to restore their spirituality and morality. On behalf of the Youth Federation for World Peace, let us all devote ourselves to the establishment of a world of love and peace.
