Bible Reading - Proverbs 12:1~10

12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, 

훈육을 사랑하는 자는 지식을 사랑하나

but he who hates correction is stupid. 징계(교정)를 싫어하는 자는 멍청하다(어리석다).

12:2 A good man obtains favor from the LORD, 착한 사람은 여호와로부터 호의를 얻으나

but the LORD condemns a crafty man.주님은 교활한 사람을 정죄하신다.

12:3 A man cannot be established through wickedness, 사람은 사악함을 통해 세워질 수 없으나

but the righteous cannot be uprooted.의로운 사람은 뽑혀질 수 없다.

12:4 A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, 고귀한 성품의 아내는 남편의 왕관이나

but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. 수치스러운 아내는 그의 뼈가 썩는 것과 같다.

12:5 The plans of the righteous are just, 의인의 계획은 정당하나

but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.악한 자의 충고는 기만하는 것이다.

12:6 The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, 악한 자의 말은 피를 노리고 있으나

but the speech of the upright rescues them. 정직한 자의 말은 그들을 구한다.

12:7 Wicked men are overthrown and are no more, 악한 자들은 전복되어 없어지나

but the house of the righteous stands firm. 의인의 집은 굳게 선다.

12:8 A man is praised according to his wisdom, 사람은 그의 지혜를 따라 칭찬을 받으나 

but men with warped minds(왜곡된 정신으로) are despised.왜곡된 마음을 가진 사람은 멸시를 받는다.

12:9 Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.
아무것도 아닌 사람이 되더라도 하인을 두는 것이, 무언가인 척하면서 먹을 것이 없는 것보다 낫다.

12:10 A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal,

의로운 사람은 그의 동물들의 필요를 돌보지만 

but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

악한 자가 가장 친절한 행동도 잔인하다.
