[Sept. 24, Urgent Fwd] Ms. Pang being hospitalized in a mental hospital from the shock of violent terror on Sept. 18

UPDATE: The harmer on Ms. Pang appeared in a policeman’s car 10 minutes later

It is another writing by Pang, which was written before she entered for mental therapy in a hospital on Sept. 24.

According to her:

1, The harmer appeared in a policeman’s automobile RIGHT AFTER a police car from a police stand appeared about 10 minutes later of the accident (* She had called to emergency number)

2. The harmer shouted several times that “I hit [Pang’] ear since she called me a commie.”

3. The harmer pulling down of a window [in a policeman Park]’s car and made slanders, saying, “ALL the anti-naval base folks should be killed.’

4. He ACKNOWLEDGED that he HIT HER in the police investigation [in the form of voluntary surrender

The content of number 2 is a full lie. Pang of course did not say to him that he is a commie. It is laughable.

Otherwise, it is hardly understandable to know that he appeared soon in a policeman’s car. He had escaped upon Pang’s words that she would report him to emergency number. In the harmer’s attitude, there was no hesitancy that we can easily suppose in the criminal’s attitude. He rather dared to say criminal remarks  ““ALL the anti-naval base folks should be killed,”  sitting just beside a policeman who deals with crime. He also took voluntary surrender form by acknowledging that he hit her.

According to her, he called himself as an disabled man, But according to people who know him, he has no other physical disability except for that he is very small for the sorry reason such as being stunted.  Some say he must be a morally disable

“ I was just released last evening from a hospital where I had been since [Sept. 18] which was a day before the Chuseok holidays and when I got violence during my preparation for Catholic mass around 10 am.

“ I write this after much hesitation because I am to be hospitalized in a close and isolated ward of the mental department of a hospital  today. When I consulted a doctor on the phenomenons that I experienced in the former hospital for a week, he/she recommended me a consultation from the neuro mental department. When I got consultation from a doctor of the hospital that I am to be hospitalized, he recommended me a hospitalization cure therefore I became to be hospitalized in the mental department of a hospital in the Jeju City today.

[Since the accident], I suffer from continuous nightmare with little sleep, feel pain as if my heart shrivels at small sound, sweats for perspiration… needlessly guard against strangers.. it is told as trauma.”

Otherwise, in the link, the two photos above are of Sept. 18 when she got the terror and the other three photos are of the bruise in her arms, legs and neck still visible after a week. Pang says she was dragged by the harmer while her cloth was torn on the day.

Urgent Fwd: [Sept. 18] A white terror in Gangjeong protest field during the Chuseok holidays

Fr. Kim Sung-Hwan reports on a violence done to a female activist, Ms. Pang, a Catholic follower and video documentarian in Gangjeong, who daily records the Catholic mass and protest in the struggle field of Gangjeong. The accident happened on Sept. 18, just before the day of Chuseok, a national fall harvest holiday and the beginning day of five holidays in Korea. You may send consolation message to her.

“[Unfortunately,] it is a current portrait of Rep. of Korea where white terror is being done just for the reason of different thought.. On Sept. 18, an Island resident took a white terror to a female activist who was preparing for a mass in the tent across the naval base construction (destruction) gate . Ms. Pang is now being hospitalized in an hospital in Seogwipo City. She was greatly shocked mentally and physically. The below is a summary of Pang’s writing in Korean

According to Pang, it was around 10 am, in the evening of Sept. 18. She found a man firely talking to a Catholic nun in her 60s in front of public relation booth in the mass tent. He was a pro-base. When Pang said to the nun that she did not need to talk to him and began to clean the tent, the man suddenly ran to her and stroke her cheek. The guy ran into her again. When she defended herself with a broomstick, he caught her throat and dragged her. Even though her upper cloth was torn, he more strongly pulled her cloth. When she could finally escape from him to a mass tent, he chased to her and stoke her head with his jacket. She found that the steel zipper hook of the jacket stoke her forehead. Making her bleeding. He stoke her again. When she barely stood up while bleeding in knee, too, he pushed her in the chest so her back head hit the asphalt on the road. 

When she gathered herself and took camera in her bag, he suddenly changed his attitude and said to her that he is an disable man.

Even though she hesitated long time because she did not want to bother other people in Chuseok holidays, she finally decided to post what happened to her on the day in the thought that such thing should not happen again in Gangjeong

The people in the village are very shocked knowing the accident and are demanding police’s thorough investigation on the violence done to her
