The title of the book is "Not Your Typical Ice Cream". Most ice creams are soft and melt quickly. But Turkey's ice cream**,** called dondurma**,** is chewy, hard and slow to melt. Dondurma ̶'̶s̶ means "frozen" or "freezing". Also, dondurma has a special ingredient. It makes Turkish ice cream hard and thick. Salep is the root of a wild orchid that grows naturally. All over Turkey, you can easily find towers of stacked ice cream cones and a vendor using a long metal scoop to churn dondurma. Turkish people ̶a̶r̶e̶ love to tease their customers by sticking the dondurma at the end of their long scoop and waving it. I think from this book**,** I ̶b̶e̶c̶o̶m̶e̶ learned about Turkey's ice cream, dondurma.
