Our Classmate, David Chun who was also known to us as 전영길 was playing golf even a month ago with friends.
Suddenly he felt pain during a golf game and almost collapsed. That incident led him to seek doctor's help. Initially, doctors suspected heart failure, but then after two bags of blood transfer, they suspected other parts, finally finding out that David Chun had a very late stage liver cancer.
Last night, David's families and his friends gave him a very nice memorial service. David was once a vice president of Korean association in this area and was well known to Koreans in this area. It appeared to me that most of his high school and college classmates, as well as all his golf buddies and business associates, showed up filling the big room to its full capacity.
According to the pastor who presided the service, David repented of all his sins way before his final days making sure of his eternal state.
With his family's permission, I took a few photos before service started, in my desire to show you all a glimpse of his memorial service and also those classmates who attended.
Today his family and his close friends mostly golf buddies will bury him at a nice burial site in the hills. I understand that he is the 101st to die among our classmates and the first in SF bay area
" For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain. But if I live in the flesh, this [is] the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:" Philippians 1:21-23

Thanks for leaving a comment! I added another link to show photos taken by Ronald Ahn today at burial site. Per Ronald's request, I made slideshows with one of Ronald's favorite songs, "향수 Nostalgia". Yes, I for one look forward meeting you when you travel this way...
