Bible Reading - Proverbs 12:20~28

12:20 There is deceit(거짓,기만) in the hearts of those who plot(꾀하는, 꾸미는) evil,

악을 꾀하는 자의 마음에는 거짓이 있으나

but joy for those who promote peace. 평화를 증진(도모)하는 사람들에게는 기쁨이 있습니다.

12:21 No harm befalls(닥치다. 일어나다) the righteous, 의로운 자에게는 해가 미치지 아니하느니라

but the wicked have their fill(원하는 만큼의 양) of trouble. 그러나 악한 자들은 환난만 당할 뿐이다.

12:22 The LORD detests lying lips,여호와께서는 거짓말하는 입술을 혐오하시나

but he delights in men who are truthful. 그는 진실한 사람을 좋아하신다.

12:23 A prudent(신중한) man keeps his knowledge to himself,

신중한 사람은 자신의 지식을 스스로 간직하지만

but the heart of fools blurts(불쑥 말하다) out folly(어리석음).

어리석은 자의 마음은 어리석은 말을 내뱉는다.

12:24 Diligent hands will rule, 부지런한 손이 다스릴 것이나

but laziness ends in slave labor. 게으름은 노예 노동으로 끝난다.

12:25 An anxious heart weighs a man down, 근심하는 마음은 사람을 무겁게 만들지만

but a kind word cheers him up. 친절한 말 한마디는 그를 격려한다.

12:26 A righteous man is cautious in friendship, 의로운 사람은 우정에 신중하지만

but the way of the wicked leads them astray. 악한 자의 길은 그들을 잘못된 길로 인도한다.

12:27 The lazy man does not roast his game, 게으른 사람은 사냥감을 굽지 않지만

but the diligent man prizes(소중히 여기다) his possessions.

부지런한 사람은 그의 소유물을 소중히 여긴다. 

12:28 In the way of righteousness there is life; 의인의 길에는 생명이 있다.

along that path(그 길을 따르면) is immortality. 그 길을 따르면 불멸(영생)이 있다.
