4. 제5유엔사무국 유치활동

지금 세계는 공해, 사상, 전쟁, 정치문제로 인해 혼돈을 겪고 있습니다. 그래서 그 중심에 참부모님을 모셔야 합니다. 그러지 않으면 세계가 하나 되는 길에서 멀어집니다.

내가 조국 통일 문제를 놓고 세계, 특히 아시아의 이목을 모으기 위해서 한국에 제5 유엔사무국을 유치해야 한다고 발표했습니다. 아시아의 모든 나라들이 자기 나라에 그것을 유치하기를 바랍니다.

그러나 이번에 세계평화 국회의원 연합 발기인대회를 통해서 설명이 잘 됐기 때문에 아시아의 나라들은 물론 세계의 모든 나라들이 한국을 도와야 하겠다고 한 것입니다. 참부모가 탄생한 나라이기 때문에 그렇습니다.

하나님이 기필코 이 나라를 통해서 뜻을 이루셔야 하기 때문입니다. 이런 중요한 자리에 있는 것을 이 민족이 깨닫지 못하고 있으니, 우리가 알아야 합니다. (2016.4.10, 부산, 범일전)

유엔은 제2차 세계대전 이후에 창립됐고, 벌써 70주년을 기념하고 있습니다. 뉴욕, 제네바, 빈과 나이로비에 유엔사무국이 있지만, 아시아 태평양 시대에 살고 있음에도 불구하고, 아시아에는 그러한 본부가 없습니다.

세계의 정세를 보면 지리적으로, 경제적으로, 그리고 정치적으로 그 중심은 점점 아시아로 이동하고 있습니다. 이런 사실을 인지하고 있는 천주평화연합을 비롯한 우리 운동의 여러 단체 66년 전 유엔군이 평화를 위해 피와 땀과 눈물을 흘렸던 이 땅에 제5 유엔사무국의 유치운동을 적극적으로 나서고 있습니다. (2016.2.15,서울 국회의원회관)

4. 第5国連事務局誘致活動

今、世界は、外的に公害、思想、戦争、政治問題により混沌としています。その中心に真の父母様をお迎えしなければなりません。そうでなければ世界が一つとなる道から遠ざかります。

私は祖国統一、南北問題に対して、世界、特にアジアの耳目を集めるために、韓国に第5国連事務局を誘致すべきであると発表しました。アジアのすべての国は自国にそれを誘致することを望んでいます。

しかし今回、「世界平和国会議員連台」の発起人大会において説明がしっかりとなされたので、アジアの国々はもちろん、世界のすべての国が韓国を助けなければならないと言ったのです。

真の父母が誕生した国だからです。神様は必ずやこの国を通じてみ旨を果たさなければならないからです。このような重要な立場にあることをこの民族は悟れずにいるので、私たちが教えてあげなければならないのです。（2016.4.10,SE、H-S）

国連は第二次世界大戦後に創設され、すでに70周年を記念しています。ニューヨーク、ジュネーブ、ウイーン、そしてナイロビに国連事務局がありますが、アジア太平洋の時代に暮らしているにもかかわらず，アジアにはそのような本部がありません。

世界の情勢を見るならば、地理的に、経済的に、そして政治的にその中心は徐々にアジアに移ってきています。このような事実を認知している「天宙平和連合」をはじめとする私たちの運動の様々な団体は、66年前に国連軍が平和のために血と汗と涙を流したこの地に第5国連事務局の誘致運動を積極的に支持しています。（2016.2.15、ソウル、国会議員会館）

4. Efforts for a UN office in Asia

The world today is experiencing confusion due to environmental pollution, conflicting ideologies, wars and political conflicts. This is also the reason we must attend True Parents as the center. Otherwise, the path to global unity will become prolonged.

In order to attract the attention of the world, and particularly that of Asia, to the issue of the unification of the two Koreas, I declared that the 5th UN Office must be opened in Korea. All nations in Asia would wish to have a UN Office opened in their countries too.

However, through the rally to promote the launching of the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, this issue was well presented and all participating countries, including those in Asia, were inspired to help Korea.

This is because it is the nation where True Parents were born and also because God must realize His Will through this nation at all costs. This nation, however, hasn't realized the importance of the position it is standing in. Hence, we must let it know. (2016.04.10, Beom-ll-Jeon, Busan)

The UN was established after World War II and is already celebrating its 70th year. And, whereas, there are UN Headquarters Offices in New York, Geneva, Vienna and Nairobi, there is no such office in Asia.

Yet, when we observe the current state of the world, the geopolitical, economic and political center of gravity of our world is shifting toward Asia.

With this in mind, UPF and other affiliated organizations of our movement are advocating that the establishment of a 5th United Nations Office in the land where, 66 years ago, the UN intervened, shedding blood, sweat and tears for peace, be considered.
