Hey guys it is finally Saturday !
This week went by in a flash. I hope you all had a nice week. We get to take a day off and
relax tomorrow.
When it is time for your we must get workin! When it's time for a day off you need to relax.
Well today we will be working on the 26" Custom Bagger.
Let's get started ~~!!
This is what the outer fairing looks like on the bike. It has a mean big look to it.
This reminds me of an elephant straight out of Africa !
You know... later on an elephant concept bagger doesn't sound so bad.
Aaron and Mr.Kim get started on the saddle bags as soon as they get in.
At James Motors, these guys put together are the best duo you can get.
Their teamwork is great !!
In order to decide on a paint concept, we have put on the body parts.
The phat rear end looks pretty sexy though aye?
:)
This stretched out bike is what a bagger should look like.
I would say this is a great example for a bagger.
Here is a detailed shot of the saddle bags.
It gives off sort of a robotic yet classy type of feel.
Here is a part that is going out for a paint job.
We need to finish them up before they guys from paint come to pick them up.
Here we are outlining the placement for the turn signals.
This may seem like an easy task but if we outline it even a little uneven..
The entire rear will be crooked.
You can never rush something like this.
We thought we would be finished after cutting holes for the bolts.
However, we found out that the inside needed to be grinded out.
Well we dont have much of a choice now do we ...
Because this fender is made of fiber glass,
small thin pieces of glass smaller than hair starts to fly around.
Even with gloves and what not on it starts to sting .
So...being the smart person I am.. I thought of an idea !!
Hahaha
I sucked up everything with a vacuum while grinding !
I did my best to grind that fender.
While doing so the guys came over to pick up the parts from paint.
I didn't even notice they had already come.
What was thought to be an easy job turned out to be the exact opposite.
The fender is a lot thicker stronger than i had imagined.
It took me a while to grind that out !!
You can see how thick it actually is.
Who wouldn't have a hard time grinding through that right?!?!
The right hand side was a bit harder to grind because of the position.
While doing this, Boss Man came to ask how much longer it was going to take.
And so i hurried to get the job done so the painters could take the parts.
I'd say i did a good job !
Looks like a nice fit .
:)
The guys from paint and our boss look like they are
talking over the paint concept.
Boss Man representing James Motors !!
Not sure why but David is looking sharp today.
Checking out the exhaust lookin all nice and all !
Hahahaha
Right after the work on the turn signals were finished,
they went ahead and stripped it down.
That fat bum-bum isn't there anymore.
Everything you see spread out is for 1 bike.
There are a lot of different parts.
Mr.Kim is getting everything off of the saddle bag and lids.
He looks like he is having trouble with the rubber.
Take it slow and try not to get frustrated !
While helping out Mr.kim,
I was able to take a shot of the guys stripping the bike down with the speed of light !!
Now with the biggest task for today finished
I feel a lot lighter.
I wonder what this trunk full of parts will look like after the paint is finished !
Well today ill let you guys go with these parts !
:)
Hope you guys have a great weekend !
