Section 3: The true way of the Great Vehicle

Chapter 3. Set the Goal to be Bodhisattvas

The Buddha said, "Subhuti, all Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas should keep their minds as follows: all Sentient beings born from eggs, wombs, humidity or by transformation, with or without form, whether they have thoughts or do not have thoughts; or beings who do not think [비유상(非有想)] nor are not thinking [비무상(非無想)], all must be led by me to the ultimate nirvana by the extinction of reincarnation." "Although immeasurable, uncountable and unlimitable numbers of sentient beings are thus led to the extinction of reincarnation, none of the sentient beings have been really liberated by Bodhisattvas. Why so, Subhuti? If the Bodhisattvas still hold on to the ideas of self, person, Sentient being, or life-span, then these bodhisattvas are not bodhisattvas."

제3 대승의 바른 종지

부처님께서 수보리에게 말씀하셨다.

“모든 보살마하살은 마땅히 이와 같이 그 번뇌의 마음을 항복시킬 것이니라. 무릇 있는 바 모든 중생의 종류인 알로 생기는 것, 태로 생기는 것, 습기로 생기는 것, 화하여 생기는 것, 형상 있는 것, 형상 없는 것, 생각이 있는 것, 생각 없는 것, 생각이 있는 것도 아닌 것들을 내가 모두 다 교화하여 해탈의 열반에 들게하여 제도하노라.” 하라. 이렇게 하여 한량없이 많은 중생들을 다 제도하지만 실로 한 중생도 제도된 바가 없느니라. 왜냐하면 수보리야, 보살이 나라는 생각, 남이라는 생각, 오래 산다는 생각이 있다면 이는 곧 보살이 아니기 때문이니라.

3. 대승(大乘)의 근본 뜻
부처님께서 수보리에게 말씀하셨습니다.
“모든 보살들은 다음과 같이 마음을 다스려야 한다. ‘알에서 태어난 것이나, 태에서 태어난 것이나, 변화하여 태어난 것이나, 형상이 있는 것이나, 형상이 없는 것이나, 생각이 있는 것이나, 생각이 없는 것이나, 생각이 있는 것도 아니고 없는 것도 아닌 온갖 중생들을 내가 모두 완전한 열반에 들게 하리라. 이와 같이 헤아릴 수 없는 많은 중생을 열반에 들게 하였으나, 실제로는 완전한 열반을 얻은 중생이 아무도 없다.’ 왜냐하면 수보리여! 보살에게 자아가 있다는 관념(我相), 개아가 있다는 관념(人相), 중생이 있다는 관념(衆生相), 영혼이 있다는 관념(壽者相)이 있다면 보살이 아니기 때문이다.”

Section Ⅲ. The Real Teaching of the Great Way

Buddha said: Subhuti, all the Bodhisattva-Heroes should discipline their thoughts as follows: All living creatures of whatever class,born from eggs,from wombs, from moisture, or by transformation, whether with form or without form, whether in a state of thinking or exempt from thought – necessity, or wholly beyond all thought realms - all these are caused by Me to attain Unbounded Liberation Nirvana. Yet when vast, uncountable, immeasurable numbers of beings have thus been liberated, verily no being has been liberated. Why is this, Subhuti? It is because no Bodhisattva who is a real Bodhisattva cherishes the idea of an ego-entity,a personality, a being, or a separated individuality.

Section 3: The true way of the Great Vehicle

The Buddha told Subhūti, “Bodhisattva-mahāsattvas [Great and holy sages] should pacify their minds thusly: ‘All different types of sentient beings, whether born from eggs, born from wombs, born from moisture, or born from transformation; having form or no form; having thought, no thought, or neither thought nor no thought — I will cause them all to become liberated and enter Remainderless Nirvāṇa.’ Thusly sentient beings are liberated without measure, without number, and to no end; however, truly no sentient beings obtain liberation. Why? Subhūti, if a bodhisattva has a notion of a self, a notion of a person, a notion of a being, or a notion of a life, he is not a bodhisattva.

• Sentient beings are co-citizens in this world. and we need to dare altruism. 지각이 있는 존재는 이 세상의 같은 시민입니다. 그리고 우리는 이타주의에 관심을 가져야합니다.

Their billboards are manuals, prayers to the well-being of all sentient creatures. 그들의 광고판은 매뉴얼이자, 모든 지각 있는 생물의 안녕을 위한 기도입니다.

That metal is sentient. 지각이 있습니다

Everybody, everybody, any sentient being. 그 어떠한 지각이 있는 생명체 모두 말입니다.

The mycelium is sentient. 균사체는 지각을 갖고 있습니다.
