of which, of whom을 공식적으로 외우지 마시길... which나 whom이 누굴 가리키는 지만 생각하면 됩니다. 4번의 경우에는 whom이 180명 남자를 가리킵니다. 180명 남자를 whom자리에 넣고 해석하면 무리가 전혀 없죠. 아마도 thirds 앞에 a가 있어야 할 것 같은데... 180명 남자들이 3분의 1 이상이 최근에 근처의~~~

3번에서 which는 내용상 the spring 2003 issue를 가리키며, 굳이 따지자면 관.대 계속적 용법이구요... 말을 계속해서 첨가해서 연결할 때 저런식으로 하거나, 분사구문을 많이 이용합니다. 제가 아는 한 of which에는 별다른 문제가 없습니다.
