Bible Reading - Proverbs 13: 13~25

13:13 He who scorns instruction will pay for it, 교훈을 멸시하는 자는 그 대가를 치르지만

but he who respects a command is rewarded. 명령을 존중하는 자는 보상을 받을 것이다. 

13:14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, 지혜로운 자의 가르침은 생명의 샘이라.

turning a man from the snares of death. 죽음의 덫에서 사람을 벗어나게하는 

해석 - 지혜로운 자의 가르침은 죽음의 덫에서 사람을 벗어나게 하는 생명의 샘이다.

13:15 Good understanding wins favor, 좋은(선한) 명철은 호의를 얻을 것이나

but the way of the unfaithful is hard. 불신실한 자의 길은 힘들다.

13:16 Every prudent man acts out of knowledge, 모든 신중함이 있는 자는 지식으로 행하나

but a fool exposes his folly. 바보는 그의 어리석음을 드러낸다.

13:17 A wicked messenger falls into trouble, 악한 사자(메신저)는 곤경에 빠지지만 

 but a trustworthy envoy(사신) brings healing. 신뢰할 만한 사절은 치유를 가져온다.

13:18 He who ignores discipline comes to poverty and shame, 

규율을 무시하는 자는 빈곤과 수치를 당하지만

but whoever heeds correction is honored. 교정에 주의를 기울이는 자는 높임을 받는다.

13:19 A longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, 충족된 갈망은 영혼에 달콤하지만

but fools detest turning from evil. 어리석은 자들은 악으로부터 돌이키기를 혐오한다.

13:20 He who walks with the wise grows wise, 지혜로운 자와 함께 걷는 자는 지혜로와 지지만

but a companion of fools suffers harm. 어리석은 자의 벗이 되면 해를 입는다.

13:21 Misfortune pursues the sinner, 불운이 죄인을 추격하지만 

but prosperity is the reward of the righteous. 번영은 의로운 자에게는 주어지는 보상이다.

13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children,

선한 사람은 그의 자녀의 자녀를 위하여 유산을 남기지만 

but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous. 죄인의 재물은 의인을 위하여 쌓는다.

13:23 A poor man's field may produce abundant food,

가난한 자의 밭은 풍성한 음식을 산출하지만

but injustice sweeps it away.불의가 그것을 쓸어버린다.

13:24 He who spares the rod hates his son, 막대기를 아끼는 자는 그의 아들을 미워하는 자이지만 

but he who loves him is careful to discipline him. 그를 사랑하는 자는 그를 훈육하는데 주의를 기울인다.

13:25 The righteous eat to their hearts' content, 의로운 자는 그들의 마음이 흡족하도록 먹지만 

but the stomach of the wicked goes hungry. 악한 자의 위(배)는 굶주릴 것이다.
