참부모경 - 432. 원모평애재단과 애원은행

참부모님께서는 1994년 3월 25일 자원봉사 애원은행을 창설하셨다. 애원은행은 소외된 불우이웃들을 위한 사회봉사단체로서 무료급식소 ‘애원의 집’과 남북통일봉사단, 국제구호 봉사단 등 18개 봉사단을 두기도 했다. 그리고 참부모님께서는 2011년 8월 16일 원모평애재단 설립을 제창하셨으며, 2013년 2월 20일 경기도 가평군 천정궁에서 참어머님을 모신 가운데 출범식을 가졌다. 원모평애재단은 세계가 필요로 하는 우수 인재 양성 지원 및 참부모님의 평화사상과 비전 선양, 봉사와 나눔의 실천 등의 사업을 펼치고 있다. 무엇보다 평화의 꿈을 가진 국내외 인재들에게 장학금을 지급하고 양질의 교육을 받도록 함으로써 장차 국제 지도자로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 데 큰 뜻을 갖고 출범하였다.
 
1 원모(圓母)라는 것은 근본을 말합니다. 원모가 평화의 근본이 되고, 참사랑의 근본이 됩니다. 참사랑 위에서 재단이 설립되니 태평성대 위에 비로소 기둥이 자리를 잡고 하늘땅이 영원무궁할 수 있습니다. 그런 세계가 참부모로부터 시작됩니다.
 
2 원모평애재단의 ‘원모’는 ‘둥글 원(圓)’자와 ‘어머니 모(母)’자입니다. 어느 누구든지 사람은 모나지 않고 둥글어야 합니다. 여러 성격을 가진 가족을 사랑으로 품어서 화목한 가정을 만드는 어머니와 같아야 합니다. 원모는 어머니 중의 어머니라는 뜻입니다. 무엇이든지 걸리는 것이 있으면 자신을 늘렸다 줄였다 하고 이리저리 굴려서 원형을 만들어 본연의 자리에 돌아가는 것입니다. 그래야 하늘부모님을 닮을 수 있습니다. ‘평애(平愛)’는 참사랑으로 낮은 곳, 소외된 사람들을 보살피며 높고 낮음이 없이 수평을 이루어 천주가 참사랑으로 가득하다는 뜻입니다. 참사랑의 씨를 뿌려야 참사랑의 평화의 나무가 싹이 터서 자랍니다. 원모평애재단은 하늘부모님을 중심으로 평화의 세계를 이룬다는 비전을 가지고 부지런히 달려야 되겠습니다. 우수한 인재를 지원하고, 봉사와 나눔의 문화를 만들고, 그리고 사회공헌 프로그램을 운영하여 심정문화세계를 이루는 데 앞장서야 합니다.
 
3 아버님은 생전에 ‘원모평애재단은 어머니에게 남겨 주는 최고의 선물’이라고 축복해 주신 바 있습니다. 그래서 이 재단이 더욱 특별합니다. 나는 이 재단을 통해 영원한 하늘부모님을 모시고 참사랑으로 나눔을 실천하며 평화세계를 실현해 나가고자 합니다. 여러분도 원모평애재단이 갖는 평화세계의 비전과 이상을 가슴 깊게 각인하고 동참하여 승리자가 되기를 바랍니다.
 
4 여러분은 역사의 주인이 되어야 합니다. 그러기 위해서는 주인의식은 물론 부모의 심정을 가져야 합니다. 나는 앞으로 참부모님의 전승사업 가운데 일부를 담당하게 될 원모평애재단을 더 크고 넓게 키워 나갈 것입니다. 전 세계 인류가 다 같이 혜택을 받을 수 있는 재단으로 키워 나갈 것입니다. 그것이 나 혼자만의 힘으로 가능하겠습니까? 여러분이 동참하여 힘을 합쳐서 나아가야 됩니다. 그래서 이 사회와 이 나라, 우리 주변의 모든 국가가 꼭 필요로 하는 미래의 지도자들을 양성하고 나눔을 실천해야 되겠습니다.
 
5 아버님이 지금까지 국가를 움직일 수 있는 단체를 30개 넘게 만들었습니다. 여러분이 어느 나라든지 이 30여 개 단체의 지부를 만들라는 것입니다. 이들을 다 정리해서 인계하는 것입니다. 이들 단체의 기금을 만들고 매월 회비를 내게 하는 것입니다. 지금까지 내가 돈을 댔지만 앞으로 대회에 참석할 때에는 각자 돈을 내고 참석할 수 있는 체제를 만들어야 합니다. 기금을 만들어서 그 은행 이자로 얼마든지 연차적인 대회를 할 수 있고 아들딸에게 장학금을 주어서 공부를 시킬 수도 있습니다. 그렇게 된다면 세계의 유명한 사람들이 축복가정이 되는 것입니다. 그것이 세계를 살리는 길입니다.
 
6 가장 가치 있는 것은 눈에 보이지 않으며 영원히 존재합니다. 그래서 사랑은 가장 절망적인 상황 속에서도 희망과 용기를 불러일으키며 영원히 변치 않고 사람들의 가슴속에 살아 숨쉬며, 마지막 순간에도 시작을 이야기할 수 있는 힘을 가져다줍니다. 도덕과 가치관의 붕괴, 인간성의 상실과 물질만능주의의 병폐 속에서 신음하고 있는 안타까운 우리 사회의 실상은 자기 자신뿐만이 아닌 남을 배려하고 위할 줄 아는 참사랑으로써만이 치유될 수 있습니다. 참사랑은 주고도 잊어버리고 또 주고자 하는 것입니다. 추위에 떠는 이웃에게 양말 한 켤레를 정성껏 신기는 것, 때로는 생면부지의 남을 위해 자신을 온전히 희생하는 것이 참사랑입니다. 인간의 가치는 외적 또는 물질적 가치기준에 의해서가 아닌 그 정신과 인격에 있음을 믿는 참사랑의 마음이 타인에 대한 존중과 배려를 낳습니다. 우리에게는 불우한 가정환경, 물질적인 빈곤, 또는 신체적 장애를 이유로 소외받는 이웃들이 많이 있습니다. 그들에게 따스한 부모의 사랑, 형제의 사랑, 자녀의 사랑을 나누기 위해 자원봉사 애원은 탄생하였습니다. 자신에게 가능한 만큼의 시간과 노력, 물질을 어려운 이웃을 위해 투입하고 베푸는 일은 분명 의미 있고 보람된 것입니다. 자원봉사는 남을 위해서 스스로 이루는 참사랑의 실천입니다. 나아가 자원봉사는 인간 개인의 삶에만 영향을 주는 것이 아니라 한 나라의 생활 수준을 나타내는 지표가 되기도 합니다. 이웃과 더불어 살아가고 있는 오늘날의 지구촌 문화는 인간의 존엄성, 사랑에의 신념과 사회공동체의식을 절실히 요구하고 있으며, 이는 국경과 종교와 사상을 초월한 절대가치, 즉 변치 않는 참사랑을 실천해야 될 인간성 회복의 시대에 접어들었음을 깨닫게 합니다.
 
7 후천시대의 주인은 여러분입니다. 그러니 내가 남긴 일을 본받아서 해야 됩니다. 그렇게 하면 여러분의 후손들이 ‘우리 조상님들, 고맙습니다.’라고 인사를 하게 될 것입니다. 그렇게 여러분의 후손이 여러분 앞에 고맙게 생각하면서 하늘 앞에 감사할 수 있게 되면 하나님도 하늘땅을 품고 ‘내 세계가 되었다.’고 할 수 있을 것입니다. 그래서 거기에서부터 영원한 안착과 영생의 생활이 시작될 것입니다. 여러분은 자녀교육에 관심을 갖고 자녀들을 잘 이끌어 나가야 합니다. 그다음에 아들딸, 후손들을 사랑해야 됩니다. 부모는 무엇이든지 자식들에게 주다가 죽는 것입니다. 그래서 내가 많은 기금을 출연하여 원모평애재단을 만들었습니다. 사랑하기 때문에 만든 재단입니다. 사랑은 주는 것입니다.
 
8 여러분은 복귀의 과정에 있기 때문에 돈을 자기 아들딸을 위해서 써서는 안 됩니다. 세계를 위하고 세계 2세를 위해서 쓰라는 것입니다. 그래야 세계적인 운세의 판도가 열리게 됩니다. 자기 아들딸을 위해서 쓰려고 하면 세계의 운세권이 완전히 꺾이게 된다는 것입니다. 부모님도 축복가정의 아들딸들을 위해서 장학기금을 만들었습니다. 그것을 만들어서 축복가정 2세들의 교육을 위해 도움을 주는 것입니다.
 
9 아버님이 라스베이거스에서 여러 사업에 관심을 갖는 것은 거기에서 들어오는 수입의 절반을 장학금으로 내기 위해서입니다. 가인세계의 어려운 아들딸들이 학교에 못 가는 경우가 많습니다. 학교에 못 가니 점점 탈락하는 것입니다. 그러니 국가들을 연합해서 장학제도를 만드는 것입니다. 아벨유엔이 첫째로 해야 될 일은 장학회를 만드는 것입니다. 장학회의 기금은 어디에서 끌어들일 것이냐? 세계가 아벨 주관권 내에 들어오게 되면 마음대로 할 수 있습니다.
 
10 나는 원모평애재단의 사업을 더욱 크게 발전시킬 것입니다. 일차적으로 아버님의 성화기금 전액을 원모평애재단에 씨돈으로 넣었습니다. 모든 인류에게 골고루 혜택을 주어서 본래 하늘의 뜻과 천지인참부모의 뜻이 무엇인지를 알게 할 것입니다. 무지에는 완성이 없다고 했습니다. 우선 사람들을 교육해야 됩니다. 말로만 아니라 행동을 보여 주어야 되는 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 애원은행도 창설하여 사랑으로 나눔과 봉사를 실천하면서 소외된 아동들과 이웃에 도움을 주고 있습니다. 그러나 이것만으로 만족하지 않고 더 많은 이웃에 사랑을 펼쳐 나갈 것입니다.
 
11 원모평애재단은 다문화가정을 지원하고 있습니다. 다문화의 원조는 참부모입니다. 1970년대 초부터 국제축복결혼식을 시작하여 지금은 수많은 커플이 탄생하였습니다. 한국과 일본, 독일과 프랑스 등 원수나라 사람들끼리 축복한 가정들은 진정으로 원수관계를 화해시키는 가교의 역할을 하게 되었습니다. 또한 동양과 서양, 인종 간에 서로 교차축복을 하여 다문화로 꽃피는 평화세계의 기반을 만들었습니다.
 
12 모든 일은 사람에게 달려 있습니다. 그래서 훌륭한 인재는 평화세계 건설의 동량입니다. 어느 가정이나 조직 혹은 국가도 훌륭한 인재가 있어야 발전합니다. 훌륭한 인재는 어떤 사람인가 하는 기준이 중요합니다. 원리에서는 3대축복을 완성한 사람을 가리킵니다. 3대축복은 생육하고 번성해서 만물을 주관하라는 하늘의 축복이고, 우리에게는 그 3대축복을 완성한 사람이 필요합니다. 그런 사람은 가정에서는 효자, 국가에서는 충신, 세계에서는 성인, 천주에서는 성자라고 할 수 있습니다. 참부모님은 하늘의 축복을 완성하는 사람을 교육하는 데 평생 동안 힘쓰셨습니다. 원리를 찾기 위해 성경이 해어지도록 읽고 또 읽고 하늘의 슬픈 심정을 느끼며 얼마나 우셨는지 모릅니다. 하루 종일 그러실 때도 있었고 10시간 넘게 땀을 흘리며 말씀하실 때도 있었습니다. 여러분은 혼신을 다해 누군가에게 말씀을 한두 시간만 하더라도 쓰러질지 모릅니다. 이제 여러분도 참부모님께서 보여 주신 참부모·참스승·참주인의 생애노정을 배우고 따라 하는 데에 힘써야 할 것입니다. 원모평애재단은 참부모님의 이러한 뜻을 살려 인재 육성을 위해 적극 노력해야 됩니다.
 
13 여러분은 공부하고 학교를 다니는 목적을 좋은 대학에 가고 돈 많이 버는 직장에 들어가는 것에 두어서는 안 됩니다. 하나님이 해주신 3대축복을 완성하고 애천·애인·애국하는 사람이 되는 것이 가장 큰 목적이 되어야 합니다. 그 목적 위에 지식과 기능과 실력을 쌓아야 큰 꿈을 이룰 수 있습니다. 원모평애재단은 여러분이 자신의 꿈과 하늘부모님의 꿈을 일치시켜서 더욱 훌륭한 인재가 될 수 있도록 적극 지원할 것입니다.

真の父母経 - 432. 「圓母平愛財団」と「愛苑銀行」

真の父母様は、一九九四年三月二十五日、「愛苑銀行」（一九九六年に「自願奉仕 （チャウォンポンサ）愛苑」に名称変更)を創設された。「愛苑銀行」は、恵まれない人々のための社会奉仕団体であり、無料給食所「愛苑の家」と南北統一奉 仕団、国際救護奉仕団など、十八の奉仕団を設置している。また、真の父母様は、二〇一一年八月十六日、「圓母平愛財団」の設立を提唱され、二〇一三年二月 二十日、京畿道加平郡の天正宮博物館において、真のお母様をお迎えして出帆式が行われた。「圓母平愛財団」は、世界が必要とする優秀な人材の養成支援、お よび真の父母様の平和思想とビジョンの宣揚、奉仕と分かち合いの実践などの事業を展開している。何より、平和の夢をもった国内外の人材に奨学金を支給し、 良質の教育を受けさせることにより、今後、国際指導者として成長できるように支援することに大きな志をもって出帆した。

1  「圓母」とは、根本を意味します。「圓母」が平和の根本になり、真の愛の根本になります。真の愛の上に財団が設立されるので、太平聖代の上に支柱が立てら れ、天地が永遠、無窮なものになることができるのです。そのような世界が真の父母から始まります。

2  「圓母平愛財団」の「圓母」は、「圓」の字と「母」の字です。人は誰でも、角をなくして丸くならなければなりません。様々な性格をもった家族を愛で抱き、 和睦した家庭をつくる母のようにならなければならないのです。圓母は、母の中の母という意味です。どこかに引っ掛かるものがあれば、自らを伸ばしたり縮め たりしながら、あちこち転がして円形をつくり、本然の位置に帰るのです。そうしてこそ、天の父母様に似ることができます。

「平愛」は、真の愛で、低い所にいる恵まれない人たちの世話をすることによって、高低のない水平が形成され天宙が真の愛で満ちているという意味で す。真の愛の種を蒔いてこそ、真の愛の平和の木が芽生え、育ちます。「圓母平愛財団」は、天の父母様を中心に平和の世界を成し遂げるというビジンをもっ て、一生懸命に走らなければなりません。優秀な人材を支援し、奉仕と分かち合いの文化をつくり、そして、社会貢献プログラムを運営して、心情文化世界を実 現する先頭に立たなければなりません。

3  お父様は生前に、「『圓母平愛財団』はお母様に残す最高の贈り物である」と祝福してくださったことがあります。ですから、この財団はより特別なのです。私 (お母様)は、この財団を通して永遠なる天の父母様に侍り、真の愛で分かち合いを実践し、平和世界を実現していこうと思います。皆さんも、「圓母平愛財 団」がもつ平和世界のビジョンと理想を胸の奥深くに刻み、同参して勝利者になることを願います。

4  皆さんは、歴史の主人にならなければなりません。そのためには、主人意識はもちろん、父母の心情をもたなければなりません。私(お母様)は今後、真の父母 様の伝承事業の中で、その一部を担当するようになる「圓母平愛財団」をより大きく、広く育てていくつもりです。全世界の人類が等しく恵沢を受けることがで きる財団として育てていきます。

それは、私一人だけの力で可能でしょうか。皆さんが同参し、力を合わせていかなければなりません。そうして、この社会とこの国、私たちの周辺のあらゆる国家が必ずや必要とする未来の指導者たちを養成し、分かち合うことを実践しなければなりません。

5  お父様は今まで、国家を動かせる団体を三十以上つくりました。皆さんは、どの国でもこの三十以上の団体の支部をつくりなさいというのです。これらをすべて 整理して引き継ぐのです。これらの団体の基金をつくり、毎月会費を出すようにするのです。今まで私がお金を出しましたがこれから大会に参加するときは、各 自がお金を出して参加する体制をつくらなければなりません。基金をつくって、その銀行の利子で毎年いくらでも大会を行うことができ、息子、娘に奨学金を出 して勉強させることもできます。そのようになれば、世界の有名な人たちが祝福家庭になるのです。それが世界を生かす道です。

6  最も価値のあるものは、目に見えず、永遠に存在します。ですから、愛は最も絶望的な状況の中でも、希望と勇気を呼び起こし、永遠に変わることなく人々の心 の中に息づき、最後の瞬間にも、始まりを語ることができる力をもたらしてくれます。

道徳と価値観の崩壊、人間性の喪失と物質万能主義の病弊の中で呻吟している、私たちの社会のもどかしい実情は、自分自身だけでなく、人に配慮し、た めに生きることができる真の愛によってのみ、治癒されるのです。真の愛は、与えても忘れ、また与えようとします。寒さに震える隣人に、心をこめて、一足の 靴下をはかせてあげること、時には、見ず知らずの人のために自らを完全に犠牲にすることが真の愛です。人間の価値は、外的または物質的価値基準によるので はなく、その精神と人格にあることを信じる真の愛の心が、人に対する尊重と配慮を生むのです。

私たちには、不遇な家庭環境、物質的な貧困、または身体的障害を理由に疎外される隣人たちが大勢います。彼らに温かい父母の愛、兄弟の愛、子女の愛 を分けてあげるために「自願奉仕愛苑」は誕生しました。自らに可能な限りの時間、努力、物質を、苦労している隣人のために投入し、施すことは、明らかに意 味があり、やり甲斐のあることです。自願奉仕(ボランティア)とは、人のために自ら行う真の愛の実践です。さらに、自願奉仕は、人間個人の人生にのみ影響 を与えるものではなく、一つの国の生活水準を表す指標にもなります。

隣人と共に生きている今日の地球村文化は、人間の尊厳性、愛への信念と社会共同体意識を切実に求めており、これは国境と宗教と思想を超越した絶対価値、すなわち変わらない真の愛を実践しなければならない、人間性回復の時代に入ったことを悟らせてくれます。

7  後天時代の主人は皆さんです。ですから、私が残したものを手本にして、実践しなければなりません。そのようにすれば、皆さんの子孫たちが、「私たちの御先 祖様、ありがとうございます」と挨拶するようになるでしょう。そのように、皆さんの子孫が、皆さんに有り難く思いながら天に感謝できるようになれば、神様 も天地を抱き、「私の世界になった」と語ることができるようになるのです。そうして、そこから永遠の安着と永生の生活が始まります。

皆さんは、子女教育に関心をもち、子女たちを正しく導いていかなければなりません。その次に、息子、娘、子孫たちを愛さなければなりません。父母 は、子女にあらゆるものを与えて死ぬのです。ですから、私は、多くの基金を援助して「圓母平愛財団」をつくりました。愛しているがゆえにつくった財団で す。愛は与えることなのです。

8  皆さんは復帰の過程にいるので、自分の息子、娘のためだけにお金を使ってはいけません。世界のために、世界の二世のために使いなさいというのです。それで こそ、世界的な運勢の版図が開かれるようになります。自分の息子、娘のために使おうとすれば、世界の運勢圏が完全にへし折られてしまうのです。父母様も、 祝福家庭の息子、娘たちのために奨学基金をつくりました。それをつくって祝福家庭の二世たちの教育のために援助してあげるのです。

9  お父様がラスベガスで様々な事業に関心をもつのは、そこから入ってくる収入の半分を奨学金として使うためです。カイン世界の貧しい息子、娘たちが学校に行 けない場合がたくさんあります。学校に行けないので、徐々に脱落するのです。ですから、国々を連合して奨学制度をつくるのです。アベル国連が第一にしなけ ればならないことは、奨学会をつくることです。奨学会の基金は、どこから調達するのでしょうか。世界がアベル主管圏内に入ってくれば、思いどおりにするこ とができます。

10  私(お母様)は、「圓母平愛財団」の事業をさらに大きく発展させるつもりです。初めに、お父様の聖和基金の全額を「圓母平愛財団」に元金として入れまし た。全人類に等しく恵沢を与え、本来の天のみ旨と天地人真の父母のみ旨が何かを知らせるのです。無知には完成がないと言いました。まず、人々を教育しなけ ればなりません。言葉だけでなく、行動で見せてあげなければなりません。ですから、愛苑銀行も創設し、愛で分かち合いと奉仕を実践しながら、恵まれない子 供たちと隣人を助けてあげています。しかし、これだけで満足はせず、さらに多くの隣人に愛を施していくでしょう。

11  「圓母平愛財団」は、「多文化(国際)家庭」を支援しています。一九七〇年代の初めから国際祝福結婚式を始め、今や大勢のカップルが誕生しました。その元 祖は真の父母様です。韓国と日本、ドイツとフランスなど、怨讐の国の人同士を祝福した家庭は、怨讐関係を心から和解させる架け橋の役割をするようになりま した。また、東洋と西洋、人種間で交叉祝福を行い、「多文化」として花咲く平和世界の基盤をつくりました。

12  あらゆることは人にかかっています。ですから、優れた人材は、平和世界建設の大黒柱です。どの家庭や組織、あるいは国家でも、優れた人材がいてこそ発展し ます。優れた人材とはどのような人なのか、という基準が重要です。原理では、三大祝福を完成した人を指します。三大祝福は、生育し、繁殖し、万物を主管し なさいという天の祝福であり、私たちには、その三大祝福を完成した人が必要なのです。そのような人は、家庭では孝子、国家では忠臣、世界では聖人、天宙で は聖子であると言うことができます。

真の父母様は、天の祝福を完成する人を教育することに、一生の間、力を注がれました。「原理」を探し出すために、ページが檫り減るほど聖書を読み込 み、天の悲しい心情を感じてどれほど泣かれたか分かりません。一日中そのようにされるときもあり、十時間以上汗を流してみ言を語られるときもあました。皆 さんは、一時間か二時間、渾身の力を込めて誰かにみ言を語っただけでも、倒れるかもしれません。これから皆さんも、真の父母様が見せてくださった真の父 母、真の師、真の主人の生涯路程を学び、従うことに力を注がなければなりません。「圓母平愛財団」は、真の父母様のこのような志を生かし、人材育成のため に積極的に努力しなければならないのです。

13  皆さんは、勉強し、学校に通う目的を、良い大学に行き、お金をたくさん稼ぐ職場に入ることにおいてはいけません。神様が下さった三大祝福を完成し、愛天、 愛人、愛国を実践する人になることが、最も大きな目的にならなければならないのです。その目的の上に知識と技能と実力を積んでこそ、大きな夢を成し遂げる ことができます。

「圓母平愛財団」は、皆さんが自分の夢と天の父母様の夢を一致させ、さらに優れた人材になれるように積極的に支援するでしょう。

Chambumo Gyeong - 432. Wonmo Pyeongae and Aewon

True Parents founded the Aewon Volunteer Organization, which organizes voluntary service work, on March 25, 1994. Aewon consisted of 18 service groups that carry out international aid, North-South unification activities, distribute food for the needy through "Aewon House," and more. On August 16, 2011, True Parents recommended the establishment of the Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation, and on February 20, 2013, at Cheon Jeong Gung Palace, the foundation was launched with True Mother presiding. The Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation is developing enterprises of sharing and service that enhance True Parents' vision for peace, and that support and nurture people of great ability. The Foundation was launched with the ambition to provide scholarships domestically and internationally, to people of ability who dream of peace. The Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation supports education that helps them develop into international leaders.
 
1 In the word Wonmo, won (H) means "round" and mo (M) means "mother." Wonmo should become the source of peace and of true love. This foundation was established as a pillar of true love directed toward an everlasting peaceful reign in heaven and earth, the world that starts from True Parents. (2011/08/17)
 
2 The word Wonmo, in the name of the Wonmo Pyeongae Foundation, is made up of the Chinese character won (H), meaning "round" and the Chinese character mo (#), meaning "mother." All people must become round, with no angles. You should be like a mother who makes a harmonious family by completely embracing all family members with their various personalities. Wonmo means "the mother of mothers." If anything becomes entangled, it enlarges, diminishes, rolls here and there, becomes spherical and returns to its original position. Only then can it resemble the Heavenly Parent.

In the word Pyeongae, pyeong (^p) means "even" or "level" and ae (§P) means "love." Pyeongae is about caring for people who are not cared for, who are at the bottom of society. 5 To date, I have created more than 30 organizations that have the capacity to move the nation. You have to make local chapters of each of these organizations in every country. After putting these in order, I am transferring them. I have set up an endowment to provide each of these organizations support to supplement income from monthly membership fees. Until now, only I invested financially in these groups, but in the future we need a system in which conference participants also contribute. We will create a combined endowment, the interest from which will fund an annual conference. Also we will provide scholarships so that young people receive a high level of education. 6 The family has eternal value. Yet, while love inspires courage and hope, it is often defeated and does not automatically change the external circumstances. Our lamentable society is wallowing in materialism, the loss of its humanity, moral breakdown and a lack of a clear sense of values. It will be healed only through the practice of true love that puts others first.

True love gives, forgets and gives again. True love with utmost sincerity puts ones only pair of socks on the feet of ones neighbor who is suffering in the cold. True love is when one completely sacrifices oneself for the sake of a total stranger. The mind of true love demonstrates concern and respect for others, and believes that the value of human beings lies in their character rather than in some material standard.

We neglect our neighbors who may suffer due to adverse family environments, material poverty or because of a physical disability. Aewon is a voluntary service organization that provides support and educational programs for the needy through the practice of true love. Voluntary service not only directly benefits the life of one individual; it becomes a guiding light inspiring others who can influence the character of a nation. We realize that todays global village culture in which we live together with our neighbors urgently calls for the dignity of humankind, belief in love, and collective social awareness; further, that the age has come for the recovery of the original human nature that practices absolute values, transcending nation, religion and ideology—in other words, unchanging true love. There are many sons and daughters of the Cain world in difficult circumstances. Unable to go to school, they fall behind. Therefore, after having unified the nations, I am making an organization to encourage learning. The first work that the Abel UN must do is to establish this scholarship foundation. I will evenly distribute the benefits to all people and bring them to understand the original Will of Heaven and of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind. It has been said that there is no perfection in ignorance. First, we must teach people, not only through words, but through our actions. Because of that, we set up the Aewon Volunteer Organization, and by practicing service and sharing, we are giving help to neighbors and children who have been neglected. From the 1970s we began international Bless ing ceremonies, and now there are many international blessed couples. Families with parents from enemy countries such as Korea and Japan, or Germany and France, are fulfilling the task of bridge building, engendering sincere reconciliation. We have also blessed people across the barriers of culture, between East and West and between races, making a foundation for world peace that is blossoming in all cultures. 12 All work depends on people. Outstanding people are the pillars upon which world peace will be constructed. Through their influence, excellent families, organizations and even nations will develop. It is necessary to have a clear and appropriate standard for what a person of excellent ability is. In the Principle, it is the person who completes the three great blessings. The three great blessings are the blessings of Heaven which teach us to be fruitful, multiply and have dominion over creation. We can view a person who has completed those three great blessings as worthy. We are able to call that person a filial child in the family, a patriot in the nation, a saint in the world and a holy child in the cosmos.

True Parents have exerted themselves during their lifetimes to educate people to complete the blessings of Heaven. In his quest to find the Principle, you do not know how much Father cried, feeling the sorrowful heart of Heaven as he read and read until his Bible was tattered. There were times when he spent all day at this. There were times when, drenched in sweat, he spoke passionately for more than ten hours. You might collapse if you speak to someone while investing all of your energy even for one or two hours. You should strive to follow the life course of the true parent, true teacher and true owner that True Parents have shown.
