[41] fire and hail and flying swords and floods of water, that all the fields and allthe streams may be filled with the abundance of those waters.[42] And they shall destroy cities and walls, mountains and hills, trees of theforests, and grass of the meadows, and their grain.[43] And they shall go on steadily to Babylon, and shall destroy her.[44] They shall come to her and surround her; they shall pour out the tempestand all its wrath upon her then the dust and smoke shall go up to heaven, and allwho are about her shall wail over her.[45] And those who survive shall serve those who have destroyed her.[46] And you, Asia, who share in the glamour of Babylon and the glory of her person[47] woe to you, miserable wretch! For you have made yourself like her; youhave decked out your daughters in harlotry to please and glory in your loverswho have always lusted after you.[48] You have imitated that hateful harlot in all her deeds and devices therefore God says[49] I will send evils upon you, widowhood, poverty, famine, sword, andpestilence, to lay waste your houses and bring you to destruction and death.[50] And the glory of your power shall wither like a flower, when the heat rises that is sent upon you. [41] 불과 우박과 날아다니는 칼과 홍수가 모든 들판과 모든 시냇물을 그 물로 가득 채울 것이다.[42] 그들은 성읍과 성벽, 산과 언덕, 숲의 나무, 초원의 풀과 곡식을 파괴할 것이다.[43] 그들은 바빌론으로 진격하여 그녀를 멸망시킬 것이다.[44] 그들은 바빌론에 이르러 그녀를 에워싸고 폭풍과 그 모든 진노를 그녀에게 쏟아부을 것이다. 그러면 먼지와 연기가 하늘까지 올라갈 것이며, 그녀 주위에 있는 모든 사람들이 그녀를 위해 통곡할 것이다.[45] 살아남은 자들은 그녀를 멸망시킨 자들을 섬길 것이다.[46] 바빌론의 화려함과 그녀의 영광을 공유하는 너 아시아야,[47] 비참한 너에게 화가 있을지어다! 너는 스스로를 그녀와 같이 만들었기 때문이다. 너는 네 딸들을 음란하게 꾸며서 너를 탐하는 애인들을 기쁘게 하고 영광스럽게 하였으니[48] 너는 그 가증스러운 음녀의 모든 행실과 계략을 본받았으므로 하나님께서 말씀하시기를[49] 내가 너에게 재앙을 보내리니 곧 과부와 가난과 기근과 칼과전염병이 너희 집을 황폐하게 하고 너희를 멸망과 죽음에 이르게 하리라.[50] 너희에게 내려진 열기가 오르면 너희 권력의 영광은 꽃처럼 시들어 버리리라. [51] You shall be weakened like a wretched woman who is beaten and wounded,so that you cannot receive your mighty lovers.[52] Would I have dealt with you so violently, says the Lord[53] If you had not always killed my chosen people, exulting and clapping your hands and talking about their death when you were drunk[54] Trick out the beauty of your face[55] The reward of a harlot is in your bosom, therefore you shall receive your recompense.[56] As you will do to my chosen people, says the Lord, so God will do to you,and will hand you over to adversities.[57] Your children shall die of hunger, and you shall fall by the sword, and yourcities shall be wiped out, and all your people who are in the open country shall fall by the sword.[58] And those who are in the mountains and highlands shall perish of hunger, and they shall eat their own flesh in hunger for bread and drink their own blood in thirst for water.[59] Unhappy above all others, you shall come and suffer fresh afflictions.[60] And as they pass they shall wreck the hateful city, and shall destroy a partof your land and abolish a portion of your glory, as they return from devastated Babylon. [51] 너는 매 맞고 상처 입은 불쌍한 여자처럼 약해져서, 네가 사랑하는 자들을 맞이할 수 없게 될 것이다.[52] 주께서 말씀하시기를 내가 너에게 이처럼 잔혹하게 대하지 않았겠느냐?[53] 네가 내 택한 백성을 항상 죽이고, 술에 취해 손뼉을 치며 그들의 죽음을 떠들지 않았더라면 내가 그렇게 하지 않았겠느냐?[54] 네 얼굴의 아름다움을 감추어라.[55] 창녀의 상이 네 품에 있으니, 너는 네 보응을 받을 것이다.[56] 주께서 말씀하시기를 네가 내 택한 백성에게 행한 대로 하나님께서 너에게도 행하실 것이며,너를 환난에 넘겨주실 것이다.[57] 네 자녀들은 굶주림으로 죽을 것이며, 너는 칼에 맞아 죽을 것이며, 네 성읍들은 멸망할 것이며, 들판에 있는 네 모든 백성도 칼에 맞아 죽을 것이다.[58] 산과 고지대에 있는 자들은 굶주림으로 죽을 것이며, 빵이 없어 자기 살을 먹고 물이 없어 자기 피를 마실 것이다.[59] 너희는 다른 모든 사람들보다 더 불행하여 와서 새로운 고난을 당할 것이다.[60] 그들이 지나가면서 가증스러운 성읍을 파괴하고 너희 땅의 일부를 멸망시키며 너희 영광의 일부를 없앨 것이다. 그들은 황폐해진 바빌론에서 돌아올 것이다. [61] And you shall be broken down by them like stubble, and they shall be like fire to you.[62] And they shall devour you and your cities, your land and your mountains;they shall burn with fire all your forests and your fruitful trees.[63] They shall carry your children away captive, and shall plunder your wealth,and abolish the glory of your countenance. [61] 너희는 그들에게 짚처럼 부서질 것이며, 그들은 너희에게 불과 같을 것이다.[62] 그들은 너희와 너희 성읍, 너희 땅과 너희 산을 삼킬 것이며, 너희의 모든 숲과 열매 맺는 나무들을 불태울 것이다.[63] 그들은 너희 자녀를 사로잡아 가고 너희 재산을 약탈하며, 너희 얼굴의 영광을 없애 버릴 것이다.
