2. 국제과학통일회의 - 1 

하늘 부모님의 꿈, 참부모님의 꿈, 인류의 소원은 '하늘 부모님 아래 인류 한 가족'입니다. 그러나 오늘날의 세계에는 많은 문제점들이 있습니다. 종족 문제, 인종 문제, 영토 문제 등을 보면 모두 자기를 중심으로 한 이기주의적 행동을 하는 것입니다.

산업혁명을 통해서 인류의 생활은 풍요를 누렸을지 모르나 강대국들이 나오면서 좋은 점보다는 미래를 걱정해야 할 많은 문제 낳았습니다. 한 예가 기후변화로 인하여 지구가 황폐해지는 것입니다. 인류가 살아가는 데 있어어 가장 귀한 빛, 물, 공기가 오염되고 있습니다.

이런 현상을 보시고 참아버님께서는 미래의 식량문제와 기후변화에 대한 대책을 실천적으로 준비하지 않으면 안 된다고 생각하셔서 남미에서 수년 동안 많은 투자를 하셨습니다.

인류의 미래를 걱정하는 사람들은 기후변화로 인한 많은 문제점들을 얘기했습니다. 그런데 그 문제점들을 어떻게 극복하고 해결해야 하는가에 대해서는 생각을 못 했습니다. 그 원인 중에는 강대국의 문제가 있습니다. 지금까지 과학 문명은 한마디로 말해서 전쟁, 파괴를 위한 것이었습니다.

그래서 나는 국제과학통일회의를 부활시키려고 합니다. 본래 하나님이 아름다운 지구성을 창조하셨으니 그 상태로 돌리는 노력과 운동을 하자는 것입니다. 거기에는 안다는 사람들, 배웠다는 사람들이 앞장서야 합니다. 그래야만 인류에게 신뢰를 줄 수 있습니다. (2016.8,19,청심평화월드센터)

2. 国際科学統一会議 - 1 

天の父母様の夢、真の父母様の夢、人類の願いは「天の父母様のもとの人類一家族」です。しかし、今日の世界には多くの問題点があります。氏族問題、人種問題、領土問題などを見ると、すべて自分を中心とする利己主義的行動をしているのです。

産業革命を通じて人類の生活は豊かさを享受したかもしれませんが、強大国が現れる中で、良い点よりは未来を心囲せざるを得ない多くの問題を生みました。一例が気候変動による地球の荒廃です。人類が生きていく際に最も貴重な光、水、空気が汚染されています。

このような現状を御覧になった真のお父様は、未来の食糧問題と気候変動に対する対策を実践的に準備しなければならないとお考えになって、南米で数年間、多くの投資をなさいました。人類の未来を心配する人々は、気候変動によってもたらされる多くの問題点を挙げました。

ところが、その問題点をどうやって克服し、解決すべきかについては考えることができませんでした。その原因の中には強大国の問題があります。今まで科学文明は一言で言って、戦争、破壊のためのものでした。

ですから、私は「科学の統一に関する国際会議」を復活させようと思います。本来神様が美しい地球星を創造なさったので、その状態に戻す努力と運動をしようというのです。そこには知識人や研究者が先頭に立たなければなりません。そうしてこそ人類に信頼を与えることができるのです。(2016.8,19、清心平和ワールドセンター）

2. International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences (ICUS) - 1

Heavenly Parent's dream, True Parents' dream and humanity's wish is to have one family under Heavenly Parent; however, the world we live in today is filled with many problems.

When we reflect on the religious conflicts, racial conflicts, territorial conflicts and all other kinds of conflicts happening today, we come to see that they all are self-centered, egoistic actions.

People's standard of living may have reached a high level through the industrial revolution, and yet, with the emergence of superpowers, the industrial revolution caused more problems than it brought benefits, raising serious concerns for the future.

One example is the devastation caused to the Earth due to climate change. Light, water and air, the most precious elements that allow human beings to live, are being polluted.
 
Observing this phenomenon, True Father felt that effective steps had to be taken toward preparing alternative solutions for a future food crisis and for climate change. That was why he invested so much in South America for so many years.

People who have been concerned about the future of humanity have identified many issues caused by climate change; however, they have not been able to provide good solutions to these problems.

One of the reasons is the presence of superpowers. Many of the scientific advancements our advanced civilization has made until now have been focused on war and destruction.
 
Therefore, I want to revive the International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences. Originally, God created a beautiful earth; hence, I am calling for a movement and for efforts to restore the earth to its pristine state. To do so, experts and scholars must take the lead. That is how they can earn the trust of all of humankind. (2016.08.19, CheongShim Peace World Center)
