It is much more important that he should know what to do next.
* 가목적 it = to tell a pupil exactly what we thought of his quality.
* 가주어 It = that he should know what to do next.
= that he should know what to do next is much more important.
소위 가상법으로 의무/제안/명령등을 완곡하게 표현하는 어법으로 영국에서는 that절에 should를 쓰나
미국식은 원형동사를 써서 표현함 that he know what to do next. (knows가 아님)
